renal cell carcinoma （RCC） is the most common malignant tumour in the adult kidney. Recent studies have shown that inactivation of the tumour suppressor gene VHL located in chromosome 3p25-26 region is responsible for sporadic RCCs. According to Kundson＇s two hit theory, the mechanism of inactivation of a tumour suppressor gene involves mutation, hypermethylation and loss of heterozygosity （LOH）.

Prognostic and predictive biomarkers for metastatic renal cell carcinoma

Several prognostic models incorporating serum biomarkers to estimate patient survival have been established for metastatic renal cell *** advancements in biomarker research have highlighted much additional serum,gene mutation,genetic expression signatures,and histologic biomarkers that predict clinical outcomes and response to ***,therefore,reviewed biomarkers associated with overall,cancer-specific,progression-free,and disease-free survival,overall response,and time to treatment failure rate in adult populations with metastatic renal cell *** reviewed human studies reporting associations between biomarkers and clinical *** were abstracted via standardized form,then reported with hazard ratios and confidence intervals where appropriate,subdivided by biomarker type(serum,gene mutation,genetic expression,and histologic).We identified a range of newer biomarkers that have clinical associations with prognostic and predictive *** biomarkers used in modern risk models,those consistently associated with prognosis included serum levels of CAIX,COP-NLR,CRP,s-TATI,and VEGF,gene mutations in BAP1,CDKN2A,CIMP/FH,and TERT,gene expression of ERV and NQO1,and histologic macrophage infiltration and expression of CAIX and *** consistently associated with the response to targeted antiangiogenic therapy included serum CRP,mutations in MET,PBRM-1,BAP1,and the mTOR pathway,TERT promoter mutations,and expression of PTEN and angiogenic gene *** expression of hERV,T-effector,and immunogenic signatures have been associated with improved response to immune checkpoint *** models should incorporate well-studied biomarkers to help clinicians predict outcomes and treatment responses for patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma.

The aim of the study was to investigate the competency of selenium(Se) in counteracting the adverse effects of aflatoxin B(AFB) on apoptosis,cell cycle and proliferation of nephritic cells.240,one-day-old healthy male avian broilers were randomly divided into four groups and fed with basal diet(control group),0.3 mg/kg AFB diet(AFB group),0.4 mg/kg Se diet(+ Se group) and 0.3 mg/kg AFB +0.4 mg/kg Se diet(AFB + Se group),*** to the control group,the number of apoptotic renal cells,expressions of Bax and Caspase-3 mRNA were significantly increased,while the expression of Bcl-2 was significantly decreased in AFBand+Se groups(Pcell nuclear antigen(PCNA) expression and arrested G/G phases of the cell cycle were also seen in the AFB and + Se groups when compared with those of the control ***,these parameters were restored to control group levels in the AFB + Se *** results suggested that sodium selenite supplied in the diet,could effectively inhibit AFB-induced apoptosis and cell cycle blockage in renal cells of broiler.

Effects of feeding ***- containing feedstuffs on the cell cycle,apoptosis and mRNA expression of Bax,Bcl-2,Caspase- 3,8,9 of kidney in Saanen Goat

The experiment was conducted to explore the effects of feeding Saanen goat ***-containing feedstuffs on apoptosis,cell cycle progression,and relative expression quantity of apoptosis genes of Bax,Bcl-2,caspase-3,8,9 in kidney through flow cytometry and *** Saanen goats randomly divided into four groups were fed on control diet（***） and experimental diets mixed with 40%,60%,80% *** leaves for 3 months *** tested by flow cytometry,the results showed that the percentage of apoptosis in renal cell was increased and the normal renal cells obviously were decreased in experimental groups as compared to *** cells in G0/G1 phase were much higher,and lower in S phase and proliferation index value in experimental groups which means *** importantly arrest the cell cycle transition from G0/G1 to S phase which made renal cell can’t complete the cell cycle activity and increased cellular apoptosis in the ***-PCR results suggested that *** inhibited Bcl-2 expression,promoted Bax translocation and caspase-3,9 activation in renal cells which means some pro-apoptotic genes expressed and apoptosis suppressor gene was inhibited,However,caspase-8 activity did not exhibit significant *** findings indicate that *** probably has dose-dependent nephrotoxicity effect on goat as it markedly induced apoptosis.

RMC （renal Medullary Cancer）： A Case Report and Literature Review

RMC （renal medullary carcinoma） is considered a rare entity, corresponding to approximately 2% of primary kidney tumors, usually occurring in the second decade of the patient＇s life and it is closely related with previous history of sickle cell disease. Studies have reported RMC as highly aggressive, poorly responsive to chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy or targeted therapy. This disease＇s median overall survival is less than 12 months. We are reporting a case of a 21-year-old woman with sickle cell trait, whose initial clinical presentation was RMC already metastatic to the liver. She underwent total right nephrectomy, and her clinical picture worsened during hospitalization with pneumonia, bowel obstruction, oliguria and death in less than two months after diagnosis, with no performance status to attempt any treatment options to her cancer at any time. Although some cases in the literature had reported good response to neoadjuvant therapy, this disease has early recurrence and little response to treatment. Our objective is to call the attention for this aggressive desease to estimulate new perspectives and further studies with chemotherapy and other different kinds of treatment, mainly because only surgical intervention is an incomplete aproach.
