The effects of an electric field on AIN precipitation and recrystallization texture were investigated. Cold-rolled 08Al killed steel sheets were annealed at 550℃ according to the two-step processes, for various maintaining times, with and without applying an electric field. It was found that the electric field promotes the precipitation of the second phase （AlN particles）, strengthens the γ-fiber and weakens the α-fiber texture component in the recrystallized specimens. A possible explanation for the reinforcement of γ-fiber texture by the electric field is that the second phase AIN particle promotes the growth of γ-fiber at the expense of differently oriented grains.

The effect of initial grain size on the recrystallization and recrystallization texture of a rolled Mg–3Gd(wt.%)alloy is studied in *** results show that the deformation microstructure of an initially coarse-grained(CG)sample has a larger twinned area and a higher density of twin boundaries than a fine-grained(FG)*** annealing,the CG sample recrystallizes preferentially in the twinned area,whereas the FG sample adopts the higher density grain boundaries as the nucleation ***,weak recrystallization texture components appear from the grain nucleation stage,regardless of the initial grain size,and are preserved after complete recrystallization due to uniform grain *** majority of recrystallization texture is deviated 20°–45°away from normal direction(ND),accounting for more than 50%.Especially,the recrystallization texture of the FG sample is a“Rare Earth texture”,in contrast to the widely reported texture modification unrelated to grain boundary *** a scattered basal texture is observed in the CG sample,which also differs from the reported“Rare Earth texture”originating from shear band nucleation in dilute Mg–Gd ***,based on the Johnson–Mehl–Avrami–Kolmogorov(JMAK)model,the recrystallization kinetics are calculated,and it is found that the initial grain size mainly affects the nucleation rate,and has limited effect on the grain growth rate.

Thin-walled copper tubes are usually produced by multi-pass float-plug drawing *** general,the annealing treatment subsequently is necessary to release the stored energy and adjusts the *** this study,an investigation on the evolution of annealing twins as well as textures in the thin-walled(Φ6 mm×0.3 mm)copper tube underwent holding time-free heat treatment was *** backscattered diffraction analysis reveals that a large number ofΣ3 boundaries(600twin relationship)are produced at the early stage of heat treatment,which is due to the lower boundary *** the recrystallization proceeding,the migration rate of grain boundaries decreases on account of the grain growth;meanwhile,the uniqueΣ9 boundaries(38.9°relationship)are formed due to the interaction of theΣ3 *** a result,the number fractions ofΣ3 boundaries and high-angle grain boundaries decrease *** the grain growth stage,a strong recrystallization texture was formed due to the fact that the grains of Goss orientation have a growth advantage over the *** a result,the initial copper texture was transferred into the Goss texture in domination.

The recrystallization texture in grain oriented silicon steel sheets, which were annealed at different primary annealingtemperatures with and without an electric field, was investigated. An automated electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD) technique was used to analyze the recrystallization texture. It was found that recovery and application ofelectric field in primary annealing lead to an increase of {001} component and a decrease of {111} component afterannealing at 900℃. The development of recrystallization texture can be explained in terms of the effects of electricfield and primary annealing temperature on recovery.

The texture change along the normal direction to rolling plane of cross shear rolled commer- cial copper has been studied by means of two step method for ODF caleulation and computer *** texture of cross shear rolling of copper is similar in primary components to that of conventional cold rolling,but the scattering degree and direction of the texture are dif- ferent,due to the residual shear strain change in different position along the normal to rolling *** seems that no more effect of the shear strain upon the recrystallization texture.

Microstructural evolution of a cold-rolled Al-Mn-Fe-Si alloy during annealing was studied. Except the as-cast variant, two other different homogenizations were considered, one gave a high density of fine dispersiods providing a considerable Zener drag influencing the softening behavior while the other gave a lower density of coarser dispersoid structure providing a much smaller drag effect. The gradual microstructural evolutions during annealing for the three variants were captured by interrupting annealing at different time. Effects of microchemistry state on recrystallization kinetics, recrystallized grain structure and texture were characterized by EBSD. It is demonstrated that the actual softening kinetics, final microstructure and texture are a result of delicate balance between processing condition and microchemistry state. Strong concurrent precipitation takes place in the case with high concentration of Mn in solid solution, which suppresses nucleation and retards recrystallization and finally leads to grain structure of coarse elongated grains dominated by a P texture component together with a ND-rotated cube component. On the contrary, when solute content of Mn is low and pre-existing dispersoids are relatively coarser, faster recrystallization kinetics is exhibited together with an equiaxed grain structure with mainly cube texture.
