1998年9月15日美国整形与再造外科杂志(Plastic & reconstructive surgery,即 PRS 杂志)主编、哈佛大学医学院整形外科教授 Robert *** 应邀来我院讲学。现将所介绍有关 PRS 杂志的内容整理成文,供参考。*** 杂志创办历史PRS 杂志创刊于1946年,由创始人 Warren *** 任主编。当时正处于第二次世界大战期间,加之全美国只有大约54名整形外科医生,所以期刊发行量极小,甚至没有出版商愿意出版。创刊时除主编外,另有副主编12人,每年出版4期,共400页。而现在 PRS 杂志每年出版14期,共4500页,于每年的4月、9月各出版两期。发行量14000册,其中5000余册由美国整形外科学会会员订阅,其他订户有美国各医学院和研究所以及国际订户。杂志的历届主编为 Warren ***(1946～1949年),Robert ***(1950～1967年),Frank McDowell(1968～1979年),Robert ***(1980年至今)。

Objective:Bladder neck contracture and vesicourethral anastomotic stenosis are difficult to manage endoscopically,and open repair is associated with high rates of *** recent years,there have been increasing reports of robotic-assisted bladder neck reconstruction in the ***,existing studies are small,heterogeneous case *** objective of this study was to perform a systematic review of robotic-assisted bladder neck reconstruction to better evaluate patency and incontinence ***:We performed a systematic review of PubMed from first available date to May 2023 for all studies evaluating robotic-assisted reconstructive surgery of the bladder neck in adult *** in non-English,author replies,editorials,pediatric-based studies,and reviews were *** of interest were patency and incontinence rates,which were pooled when ***:After identifying 158 articles on initial search,we included only ten studies that fit all aforementioned criteria for robotic-assisted bladder neck *** were case series published from March 2018 to March 2022 ranging from six to 32 men,with the median follow-up of 5e23 months.A total of 119 patients were included in our analysis.A variety of etiologies and surgical techniques were *** rates ranged from 50%to 100%,and pooled patency was 80%(95/119).De novo incontinence rates ranged from 0%to 33%,and pooled incontinence was 17%(8/47).Our findings were limited by small sample sizes,relatively short follow-ups,and heterogeneity between studies.

BACKGROUND Porocarcinoma is a rare type of skin cancer that originates from sweat gland *** is an aggressive malignant skin cancer that is difficult to diagnose clinically owing to its rarity and similarity to squamous cell carcinoma(SCC).CASE SUMMARY This case involved a 92-year-old woman,a farmer by profession,presented with an exophytic and verrucous mass on her left palm that had formed 2 years prior and caused chronic pain and frequent ***,the patient was diagnosed with SCC using a punch biopsy;however,a repeat biopsy with addi-tional immunohistochemical tests was performed for ***,the patient was diagnosed with porocarcinoma and reconstruction was planned using a full-thickness skin *** treatment,the range of motion of the palm was preserved,and the aesthetic outcome was *** 6 mo of follow-up,the patient was satisfied with the *** Porocarcinoma is commonly misdiagnosed as SCC;therefore,clinicians should consider porocarcinomas when evaluating mass-like lesions on the hands.

Background:This study is aimed to describe our institutional experience and review the literature to date on prostatosymphyseal fistula(PSF),or puboprostatic fistula,following bladder outlet procedures such as transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP)or laser photoselective vaporization of the prostate(PVP).Materials and methods:We retrospectively queried our institutional experience for management of PSF following PVP performed for symptomatic benign prostatic *** also performed a systematic literature review for PSF following PVP or ***,we describe our surgical approach to the management of this challenging ***:We identified 7 cases of PSF following PVP from our institution,as well as an additional 7 cases following PVP and 9 cases following TURP from literature *** diagnosis of PSF was made between 0.5 and 24 months following PVP,and the most specific symptoms were pubic pain and difficulty *** patients requiring several evaluations before the diagnosis was made using appropriate imaging *** percent of patients required surgical intervention including fistula repair or *** surgical approach has evolved,and we now routinely perform robotic fistula repair with Y-V plasty and interposition flap with excellent ***:Puboprostatic fistula is a rare and poorly described complication of PVP or *** the best of our knowledge,this case series of PSF following PVP represents the largest series to date and doubles the number of reported cases in the *** fistula repair with interposition of either peritoneal or perivesical fat flaps appears to be a viable management strategy.
