A novel method has been developed to monitor the nucleic acids ligation process. Molecular beacon was employed here to convert the ligation information into fluo-rescence signal quickly and quantitatively. This method pro-vides effective and original approach to researching the dy-namic ligation process and the interactions between nucleic acids and ligase. An analytical method for T4 DNA ligase based on this way has been built up with a linear detection range from 2.3×10-4 U/mL to 0.23 U/mL. It is rapid and sensitive to detect 2.8×10-5 U T4 DNA ligase in 10 min.

The idea of complex horo-hypercircle coordinate has been used to study the heat equa-tion of a Hermitian symmetric space of Type Ⅲ. By such coordinate theLaplace-Beltrami operator can be decomposed into the sum of two operators, the first oneof which is a linear elliptic differential operator of second order with constant coefficientsand the second one is a total differential operator. Now we extend this idea to realsymmetric spaces.

The fact is studied that the ideal class numbers h of types of real quadratic fields usually contain a fixed prime number p as a factor, and the reason is found to be existing there a kind of prime ideals whose p th powers are principal. A modification of the Cohen Lenstra Heuristics for the probability that in this situation the class number h is actually a multiple of p then is presented: Prob (p|h)=1-(1-p -1 )(1-p -2 ).... This idea is also extended to predict the probability that the class P represented by the above prime ideal is actually of order p : Prob (o(P)=p) =1/p. Both of these predictions agree fairly well with the numerical data.

THE famous Cohen-Lenstra heuristics aroused wide insterest and research. Here for a certaintype of real quadratic fields with elements P of potential order p in their ideal classes, modifi-cations of the Cohen-Lenstra heuristics for the probability that the class number h is a multipleof p, and the probability that P is of order p, are presented. Via a quite large amount ofcomputations, it was found that both of these probability predictions agree fairly well with thenumerical data.

new approach for stochastic approximation in real time is developed. A number of processors are simultaneously active to carry out a computing task. All processors work on the same system with different starting time. After each iteration, computed data are passed to the next processor on line. Interacting tasks and iterative instructions are carried through pipelining of computation and communication. Asymptotic properties of the algorithm are developed, and comparisons of the performance between the new algorithm and the classical one are made.

Let H^P(R^n), 00, then m is an H^P(R^n) multiplier. And as an immediate application of theseresults, the "restriction theorem" for H^P(R^n) multipliers to lower-dimensional spaces isestablished.

Let H^P(R^n), 0real Hardy spaces, and H^P(T^n) be the periodic counter-parts. We prove in this paper that if m(x) is an H^P(R^n) multiplier, then ? = {m_}k∈x^n isan H^P(T^n) multiplier. On the other hand, if m(x) is continuous on R^n\{0} and ?={m(sk)}k∈Z^n forms a class of multipliers on H^P(T^n) with their multiplier norms uniformlybounded in s>0, then m is an H^P(R^n) multiplier. And as an immediate application of theseresults, the "restriction theorem" for H^P(R^n) multipliers to lower-dimensional spaces isestablished.

In this article, we use the unrestricted two-regime autoregressive threshold model to test both nonlinearity and stationarity of China's real exchange rate against its Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions(SARs). Our main finding is that China's real exchange rate is neither linear nor stationary, indicating that the purchasing power parity does not hold between China Mainland and its two SARs, which implies, to certain extent, the three economies may not meet the condition of constituting an optimal currency area.
