This article presents a novel approach for the measurement and estimation of network traffic utilization between network nodes in heterogeneous environment. This research investigates performance evaluation of network interface on heterogeneous services and technologies environment. This study proposes an enhanced equation to evaluate the performance of network interface via Little Law and Queuing theories to improve the evaluation algorithm. To get accuracy results on the performance of simulation model, it measures (verify and validate) data from Local Area Network (real network environment). This project uses network management tool to capture those data and Fluke Optiview device to generate traffic. As a result, this simulation model can provide a good approximation of the real traffic observed in the real network environment. Through laboratory and field experiments, the result shows that the model via simulation is capable of approximating the performance of network utilization and traffic over heterogeneous services and techniques within a minimum error range.

But research in this area is far away from systematic and thorough context. Aiming at this issue, we systematically examined the research outcomes related to real estate big data. It gives a comment to current research status and proposes the future directions in this area from the four aspects, i.e. the hierarchical structuring of real estate "Big Data", integrated implementation, exchange and pricing systems, and the market operation system, in order to assist the researchers for their future works.

A real version of the Dirac equation is derived and its coupling to the electromagnetic field considered. First the four-component real Majorana equation is briefly discussed. Then the complex Dirac equation including an electromagnetic field will be written as an eight-component real spinor equation by separating it into its real and imaginary parts. Through this decomposition, what becomes obvious is the way in which the electromagnetic field couples to charged fermions (electron and positron) when being described by real spinor fields. Thus, contrary to common expectation, charged fermions can also be described by a real Dirac equation if they are considered as a doublet related to the SO(2) symmetry group, which enables a matrix coupling to the electromagnetic field and corresponds to the usual U(1) gauge symmetry of the standard Dirac equation.

Hastening transmission by efficiently providing compression is our goal in this work. Image compression consists in reducing information size representing an image. Elimination of redundancies and non-pertinent information enables memory space minimization and thus fast data transmission. Optics can offer an alternative choice to overcome the limitation of numerical compression algorithms. In this paper, we propose real-time optical image compression using a real Fourier plane to save time required for compression by using the principles of coherent optics. Digital and optical simulation results are presented and analyzed. An optical compression decompression setup is demonstrated using two different SLMs (SEIKO and DisplayTech). The purpose of this method is to simplify our earlier method, improve the quality of reconstructed image, and avoid the disadvantages of numerical algorithms.

A simplified model is proposed for an easy understanding of the coarse-grained technique and for achieving a first approximation to the behavior of gases. A mole of a gas substance, within a cubic container, is represented by six particles symmetrically moving. The impacts of particles on container walls, the inter-particle collisions, as well as the volume of particles and the inter-particle attractive forces, obeying a Lennard-Jones curve, are taken into account. Thanks to the symmetry, the problem is reduced to the nonlinear dynamic analysis of a SDOF oscillator, which is numerically solved by a step-by-step time integration algorithm. Five applications of proposed model, on Carbon Dioxide, are presented: 1) Ideal gas in STP conditions. 2) real gas in STP conditions. 3) Condensation for small molar volume. 4) Critical point. 5) Iso-kinetic energy curves and iso-therms in the critical point region. Results of the proposed model are compared with test data and results of the Van der Waals model for real gases.

Recently, applications of real-time polling service (rtPS) in IEEE 802.16 wireless networks have gained considerable popularity. These applications generate large amounts of real time traffic in the network and thus maintaining the quality of service (QoS) such as packet delay requirement in rtPS dominant networks is critical. Existing dimensioning methodology does not consider QoS parameters of rtPS in network dimensioning. Moreover, exhaustive and time-consuming simulations are required to evaluate the performance and QoS of rtPS. To overcome this problem, we propose an improved radio network dimensioning framework which considers QoS parameters of rtPS in network dimensioning. In this framework, an analytical model is developed to evaluate the capacity and performance of rtPS in IEEE 802.16 wireless networks. The proposed framework provides a fast and accurate means of finding the trade-off between system load and packet delay, thus providing network operators with an analytical tool that jointly considers coverage, capacity and QoS requirements for obtaining the minimum number of sites required. The accuracy of the proposed model is validated through simulations.

Ticks harbor multiple pathogens, most of which can be transmitted to humans. The ensuing zoonoses display non-specific symptoms that make definitive diagnosis difficult. We report here the development and evaluation of multiplex real time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) assays for eight tick-borne zoonoses (TBZ). The assays were organized in duo formats of 4-plex each. Format 1 was optimized for Anaplasma phagocytophilum, Coxiella burnetii, Borrelia burgdoferi and Ehrlichia chaffeensis. Format 2 was optimized for Rickettsia species (spp.), Bartonella spp., Borrelia spp. other than B. burgdoferi and Babesia spp. Synthetic plasmids were used to show that the assays can specifically detect all target sequences in the same reaction tube. Assays were assayed eight times to determine assay performance and the limit of detection was determined as the lowest plasmid concentration that was amplified for all the targets. Standard curves of threshold cycle (Ct) versus copy numbers were generated and used to determine linearity and efficiency of the assays. Pairwise comparison of singleplex and multiplex assays was done using Bland-Altman plots. Prevalence was calculated as overall percentage of positive patients to each TBZ tested Assay 1 had a limit of detection of 2 copy numbers for all targets. Assay 2 was less sensitive and on average had a limit of detection of 18 gene copies. In replicate tests, both assays had intra-assay variation of less than two cycles. Multiplex assays performance was comparable to respective singleplex assays. Evaluation of 512 clinical samples collected between 2008 and 2016 from acute febrile illness patients attending hospitals in different counties in Kenya revealed a 20% prevalence of tick-borne pathogens comprising B. burgdorferi (6%), non B. burgdorferi Borrelia spp. (3%), C. burnetii (5%), A. phagocytophilum (5%), Rickettsia spp. (2%), E. chaffeensis (0.8%), Bartonella spp. (0.8%), and Babesia spp. (0.4%).
