Effective reading strategies are essential for student reading success.This paper studied the effects of repeated reading on the comprehension for high school students.Two classes of students with 50 in each were asked to read repeatedly and the control group with no intervention reading a new text.Results show that the repeated reading has a positive effect on Reading comprehension especially when the reading task was finished under the instruction of different task contents.Discussion focused on future research on reading strategies for high-school students.

In the teaching process,the test is very important.The test is a method to measure the effect of teaching and can also reflect the advantages and shortcomings in the teaching process.However,National Matriculation English Test（NMET）is the most important test,for the NMET is an indispensable link to select the qualified students into higher schools for their further studies.What’s more,the Reading comprehension part is becoming a focus of people’s attention,since the Reading comprehension is a very important part and holds a large score of English whole paper.In order to fully develop the test functions of Reading comprehension,the validity study of Reading comprehension itself becomes indispensable.So,this paper aims at validity research of Reading comprehension combining the high middle school teaching syllabus and test syllabus and with the NMET 2001-2010 papers as samples.Through the detailed research and discussion,the writer believes that the validity of Reading comprehension is higher relatively.However,there are still some deficiencies,such as the theme is not entire and so on.Finally,the writer puts forward some suggestions for the future proposition of the Reading comprehension part.

为探讨年级在汉语儿童阅读模式影响阅读理解过程中的作用及其内部机制，对933名小学2～6年级儿童在不同阅读模式(朗读、喃喃自语、默读)下的阅读理解进行测查，并采用三分钟阅读测验考察儿童的阅读流畅性，探讨其在上述调节模型中的中介作用。结果发现：(1)喃喃自语比默读更有利于小学汉语儿童的阅读理解。(2)年级在阅读模式对阅读理解的影响中起调节作用。二年级儿童朗读和喃喃自语时的阅读理解成绩高于默读；喃喃自语比默读更有利于四年级儿童的阅读理解；五年级时，喃喃自语成为绝对优势，好于朗读和默读。(3)年级的调节作用部分通过阅读流畅性这一中介变量而实现。研究结果在一定程度上验证和补充了维果茨基内化说在阅读发展中的应用，启示不应盲目纠正儿童自然的阅读模式(如阅读中的喃喃自语)。此外，重视儿童阅读流畅性的训练可能有助于促进儿童阅读的内化进程。

This study examined the potential effect of Inquiry-Based Learning Strategy(IBL)on the tenth-grade students’Reading comprehension.Two groups and a quasi-experimental design were used.Two complete sections of grade 10 students from a public Secondary School for Girls in Irbid was randomly assigned by the researcher.The experimental group of 30 students was chosen first,and then the control group of 30 students.A pre-post Reading comprehension test was designed before and after the study in order to fulfill its goals.Additionally,the experimental group was taught using the IBL strategy,whereas the control group was taught using the traditional teaching methods recommended in the tenth-grade Teacher’s Book.According to the findings,there were significant statistical differences favoring the experimental group over the control group.In light of the findings,the researcher recommended employing the IBL strategy to students with various levels and EFL skills.
