Optimal Credibility Estimation of random Parameters in Hierarchical random effect Linear Model

In the hierarchical random effect linear model, the Bayes estimator of random parameter are not only dependent on specific prior distribution but also it is difficult to calculate in most cases. This paper derives the distributed-free optimal linear estimator of random parameters in the model by means of the credibility theory method. The estimators the authors derive can be applied in more extensive practical scenarios since they are only dependent on the first two moments of prior parameter rather than on specific prior distribution. Finally, the results are compared with some classical models and a numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the estimators.

For the product degradation process with random effect (RE), measurement error (ME) and nonlinearity in step-stress accelerated degradation test (SSADT), the nonlinear Wiener based degradation model with RE and ME is built. An analytical approximation to the probability density function (PDF) of the product's lifetime is derived in a closed form. The process and data of SSADT are analyzed to obtain the relation model of the observed data under each accelerated stress. The likelihood function for the population-based observed data is constructed. The population-based model parameters and its random coefficient prior values are estimated. According to the newly observed data of the target product in SSADT, an analytical approximation to the PDF of its residual lifetime (RL) is derived in accordance with its individual degradation characteristics. The parameter updating method based on Bayesian inference is applied to obtain the posterior value of random coefficient of the RL model. A numerical example by simulation is analyzed to verify the accuracy and advantage of the proposed model.

Count data with excess zeros are often encountered in many medical, biomedical and public health applications. In this paper, an extension of zero-inflated Poisson mixed regression models is presented for dealing with multilevel data set, referred as hierarchical mixture zero-inflated Poisson mixed regression models. A stochastic EM algorithm is developed for obtaining the ML estimates of interested parameters and a model comparison is also considered for comparing models with different latent classes through BIC criterion. An application to the analysis of count data from a Shanghai Adolescence Fitness Survey and a simulation study illustrate the usefulness and effectiveness of our methodologies.

We focus on in this paper the convergence rate of the L-N estimators for the fixed effect β in Poisson-Gamma models which are typical hierarchical generalised linear models（HGLMs）. Under the proper assumptions on response variables and some smoothing conditions, we obtain the strong consistency and the convergence rate of the L-N estimator based on the combination of L-N and quasi-likelihood.

Exclusion from the mainstream financial world is a burden on the poor of many *** proliferation of new mobile and online financial services,such as e-banking,money transfers,and payment processing has the potential to provide access to basic financial products and services to financially excluded *** purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the growth of mobile phone and Internet use on financial inclusion in the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation(SAARC)countries from 2004 to *** applied principal component analysis to construct a financial inclusion index that served as a proxy variable for the accessibility of financial services in the SAARC *** three different models-the fixed effect,random effect,and panel correction standard errors modelsthis study discovered a positive and significant relationship between the growth of financial inclusion and expansion of both mobile phone and Internet ***,an empirical study of the control variables showed that the levels of income and education were positively associated with financial inclusion,whereas the size of the rural population and unemployment were negatively related to financial *** addition,the empirical estimates posit a unidirectional causal flow from the growth of mobile and Internet services to expanded financial inclusion in the SAARC countries.

Bangladesh, a developing country, gained success towards the fifth-millennium development goals target of reducing its maternal mortality ratio by three quarters by 2015, but yet worked more on it for further reduction of maternal mortality. In this light, though Bangladesh is committed to the sustainable development goals target of reducing its maternal mortality ratio to be reduced from 170 to 105 per 100,000 live births, the scope of research on this issue is limited because the maternal morbidity data is scarce in Bangladesh. In this paper, the prospective data on maternal morbidity in rural Bangladesh (collected by BIRPERHT) have been employed to trace out the high-risk and life-threatening factors associated with pregnancy-related complications. The subject-specific generalized estimating equations (SS-GEE) model with random effect structure is used for multivariate binary data for the repeated observations. The findings indicate that the risk of suffering from pregnancy complications is higher for high economic status, lower age at marriage, not visited for medical check-ups, outside home workers, and having miscarriage or abortion. Comparing the SS-GEE model with other correlation structures and relative efficiency factors, the SS-GEE model with random effect structure is well fitted for the prospective repeated observation data.

基于1998—2015年中国的分省数据，利用随机效应与固定效应实证检验旅游发展对城市空间扩展的影响。研究发现，旅游发展对城市空间扩展有显著正向影响，东部、中部、西部地区的影响强度呈现区域差异，东部影响最大，西部地区旅游发展对城市空间扩展的影响强度大于中部地区。政府干预、信息化对旅游发展与城市空间扩展关系存在显著调节效应，国发【2009】41号文件出台，明显增强了旅游发展对城市空间扩展的推动作用，旅游依托省份相比非旅游依托省份，其旅游发展对城市空间扩展的边际影响力有显著提高；研究结果也表明，人口规模对城市空间扩展的影响呈现区域异质性，外商直接投资、政府干预度、信息化是驱动中国城市空间向外扩展的显著因素。
