Distributed convex optimization for nonlinear multi-agent systems disturbed by a second-order stationary process over a digraph

In this paper, we investigate the distributed convex optimization problem for a class of nonlinear multi-agent systems disturbed by random noise over a directed graph. The target problem involves designing a continuous-time algorithm to minimize the sum of all local cost functions associated with each agent. The target noise is considered as a second-order stationary process under mild assumptions. The noise-to-state exponential stability for the multi-agent system based on random differential equations is analyzed using a random field method. Sufficient conditions corresponding to the second moment relative to the optimal solution in the form of matrix inequalities are established. Then, the grid search method is employed to determine the best system parameters such that the second moment of the estimation error has the minimum value. In addition, the obtained results are applied to solve the average consensus problem in the presence of a stationary process. Finally, a numerical example is presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Efficient Collocational Approach for Parametric Uncertainty Analysis

A numerical algorithm for effective incorporation of parametric uncertainty into mathematical models is *** uncertain parameters are modeled as random variables,and the governing equations are treated as *** solutions,or quantities of interests,are expressed as convergent series of orthogonal polynomial expansions in terms of the input random parameters.A high-order stochastic collocation method is employed to solve the solution statistics,and more importantly,to reconstruct the polynomial *** retaining the high accuracy by polynomial expansion,the resulting“pseudo-spectral”type algorithm is straightforward to implement as it requires only repetitive deterministic *** estimate on error bounded is presented,along with numerical examples for problems with relatively complicated forms of governing equations.

GAUSS WHITE NOISE PERTURBATIONS OF NONHOLONOMIC MECHANICAL SYSTEMS

The perturbations of nonholonomic mechanical systems under the Gauss white noises are studied in this paper. It is proved that the differential equations of the first-order moments of the solution process coincide with the corresponding equations in the non-perturbational case, and that there are e2 -terms but no e-terms in the differential equations of the second-order moments. Two propositions are obtained. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the application of the results.
