To facilitate the efficient support of quality-of-service(Qo S)for promising free-space optical(FSO)communication systems,it is essential to model and analyze FSO channels in terms of delay Qo ***,most existing works focus on the average capacity and outage capacity for FSO,which are not enough to characterize the effective transmission data rate when delay-sensitive service is *** this paper,the effective capacity of FSO communication systems under statistical Qo S provisioning constraints is investigated to meet heterogeneous traffic demands.A novel closed-form expression for effective capacity is derived under the combined effects of atmospheric turbulence conditions,pointing errors,beam widths,detector sizes and Qo S *** obtained results reveal the effects of some significant parameters on effective capacity,which can be used for the design of FSO systems carrying a wide range of services with diverse Qo S requirements.

Streaming media data have strict delay and loss requirements, which cannot be adequately supported by the current Internet. Proxy caching technology is introduced to alleviate the effect of the bottleneck bandwidth on the transporting quality. A new architecture of multimedia proxy caching is given to solve the problem of the traditional Web caching technology for the multimedia streaming. The mixed media management module and the (resource) management module are added to this architecture, the prefetching and replacement method is studied considering the characteristics of streaming media data, the concept of weighed popularity is given to enhance the (exactness) of the replacement algorithm.

Aim: Client perception was important to indicate points requiring interventions or adjustments and to permit refinement of the services offered. This study aimed to determine the perception of internal clients regarding the quality of the service after integrating these items into the system of electronic prescription. Methods: We applied a questionnaire elaborated based on the SERVQUAL about the five dimensions of service quality (tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, safety, and empathy) with adaptation of the four-point Likert scale, ranging from “I fully disagree” to “I fully agree”. Results: The instrument was applied to 138 professionals, with a 56% return. Analysis revealed that the strong points were related to tangibility, safety and empathy, while the aspects related to reliability showed a lower score regarding time of delivery, occurrences and waste, and those related to responsiveness showed a lower score regarding service to be provided in a timely manner. The Cronbach Alpha Coefficient indicated that the investigation had a high degree of consistency and that the results could be considered reliable. Conclusion: Application of the adapted SERVQUAL questionnaire revealed that the perception of internal clients about the five quality dimensions after the changes made and provided valuable information for the scoring of aspects that still needed adjustment to improve interventions.

Cloud computing facilitates the great potentiality of storing and managing remote access to services in terms of software as a service(SaaS).Several organizations have moved towards outsourcing over the cloud to reduce the burden on local *** this context,the metaheuristic optimization method is determined to be highly suitable for selecting appropriate services that comply with the requirements of the client’s requests,as the services stored over the cloud are too complex and *** achieve better service composition,the parameters of quality of service(QoS)related to each service considered to be the best resource need to be selected and optimized for attaining potential services over the ***,the cloud service composition needs to concentrate on the selection and integration of services over the cloud to satisfy the client’s *** this paper,a Hybrid Chameleon and Honey Badger Optimization Algorithm(HCHBOA)-based cloud service composition scheme is presented for achieving efficient services with satisfying the requirements ofQoS over the *** proposed HCHBOA integrated the merits of the Chameleon Search Algorithm(CSA)and Honey Badger Optimization Algorithm(HBOA)for balancing the tradeoff between the rate of exploration and *** specifically used HBOA for tuning the parameters of CSA automatically so that CSA could adapt its performance depending on its incorporated tuning *** experimental results of the proposed HCHBOA with experimental datasets exhibited its predominance by improving the response time by 21.38%,availability by 20.93%and reliability by 19.31%with a minimized execution time of 23.18%,compared to the baseline cloud service composition schemes used for investigation.

Jitter is one of the most important issues for multimedia real time services in future mobile ad hoc networks（MANET）. A thorough theoretical analysis of the destination buffer for smoothing the jitter of the real time service in MANET is given. The theoretical results are applied in moderate populated ad hoc networks in our simulation, the simulation results show that by predicting and adjusting destination buffer in our way, Jitter will be alleviated in large part and this will contribute much to the quality of service （QOS） in MANET.

In order to improve the quality of manufacturing cloud service composition, the influence of service statistic correlation on the QoS of cloud service composition was studied, then a cloud service composition ＆ optimization approach supporting for service statistic correlation was proposed in this paper. Firstly, the statistic correlation between cloud services and their influence on QoS was analyzed, and then a cloud service statistic correlation model was built. Secondly, by introducing the index of statistic correlation degree into the QoS model of cloud service composition, the cloud service composition ＆ optimization problem was solved by Particle Swarm Optimization（PSO） algorithm. Case study and analysis demonstrate that the proposed method is not only feasible and effectual, but also significant for promoting the development and application of cloud manufacturing.

quality evaluation becomes more and more important in Web service life cycle on service Selection, real-time monitoring, management, accounting and other stages. And fuzzy theory has been applied to this field. In this paper, the algorithm of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is ameliorated on differentiating redundancy membership degree. It eliminates redundant data in membership degrees of index which are useless for objective classification. Then it realizes the conversion of membership degrees without redundant data. It can be used in the evaluation on the QoS of Web service.

In this paper,we proposed a measurement-based admission control(MBAC) algorithm for adaptive real-time applications. In our algorithm,admission test is performed over successive time scale(STS) by an iterative *** and simulation results show that STS algorithm obtains consistency and robustness by capturing the burstiness over multiple time scales exactly,and achieves high bandwidth utilization by adopting statistical multiplexing gain.
