Novel blue light-emitting poly（aryl ether）s comprising of bipolar oligofluorene pendants as chromophores have been designed and synthesized, in which pyrimidine and arylamine moieties are utilized as the electron acceptor and electron donor, respectively. Through varying n bridge length from monofluorene to bifluorene and end-cappers from hydrogen to carbazole and diphenylamine, the emission color of the resulting polymers covers from deep blue to greenish blue, and their HOMO and LUMO levels can be modulated to facilitate charge injection to improve the device performance. Polymer light- emitting diodes （PLEDs） are fabricated with the device structure of ITO/poly（3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene）：poly（styrene sulfonic acid）（PEDOT：PSS）（50 nm）/polymer （80 nm）/Ca （10 nm）/Al （200 nm）. Among these polymers, P2Cz5F-Py with bifluorene bridge and carbazole end-capper shows excellent trade-off between the efficiency and emission wavelength, having a peak luminous efficiency as high as 1.26 cd/A and Commission Internationale de L＇Eclairage （CIE） coordinates of （0.17,0.17）.

The physiologically active groups such as purine and pyrimidine bases are introduced to the asymmetric synthesis. The optically pure compounds bearing purine and pyrimidine bases (5a—5e) were prepared via the asymmetric Michael addition reaction of purines and pyrimidines as Michael donators with the chiral source 5-(R)-[(lR, 2S, 5R)-menthyloxy]-2(5H)-furanone (3a), which was prepared from the natural chiral auxiliary (-)-menthol. The synthetic method was studied in detail and the new compounds were identified on the basis of their analytical data and spectroscopic data, such as [α] D 20 , IR, UV,1H NMR,13C NMR and MS. The absolute configuration of5a was established by X-ray crystallography. The results provided an efficient synthetic route to chiral purines and pyrimidine analogues, and offered chiral sources for further research on the physiologically active compounds of chiral nucleotides.

In the given research,the molecular structures of two new compounds,4-((E)-3-(dimethylamino)styryl)-6-((E)-4-(dimethylamino)styryl)pyrimidine-2-amine(PM-1)and N-(4-((E)-3-(dimethylamino)styryl)-6-((E)-4-(dimethylamino)styryl)pyrimidine-2-yl)-4,6-dichloro 1,3,5-1,3,5-triazin-2-amine(PM-2),have been studied with the use of density functional theory(DFT/B3LYP/MidiX)in dimethylformamide(DMF)for the first *** electronic spectra of the new compounds in a DMF solvent were carried out by temporally dependent density functional theory(TD-DFT)*** computed absorption spectral data of the title compounds are in good agreement with the experimental data,thus allowing an assignment of the UV/Vis *** equilibrium geometry,the HOMO and LUMO molecular orbitals,excitation energies,oscillator strengths and Natural Bond Orbital(NBO)analysis for the molecules have also been calculated and ***-IR spectra of the title molecules are recorded and *** electron location function(ELF),localized orbital locator(LOL)and quantum theory of atoms in molecules(QTAIM)analyses were also carried *** the basis of polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)and synthesized molecules,polarizer for UV/Vis region of the spectrum has been developed.

The title compound 2-[2-(4-fluorobenzylidene)hydrazinyl]-4-(1-methyl-1 H-indol-3-yl)thieno[3,2-d] pyrimidine(8) was synthesized by the condensation of 4-fluorobenzaldehyde(7) with 2-hydrazinyl-4-(1-methyl-1 H-indol-3-yl)thieno[3,2-d]pyrimidine(6). This intermediate was prepared from methyl 3-aminothiophene-2-carboxylate(1) by the condensation with urea, chlorination with phosphorus oxychloride and then condensation with hydrazine hydrate. The crystal of 8 belongs to monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a = 14.0453(18), b = 17.436(2), c = 18.0982(17) ? and β = 122.969(7)°. In addition, 8 possesses marked inhibition against the proliferation of human colon cancer cell line HT-29(IC50 = 6.09 μM) and human gastric cancer cell line MKN45(IC50 = 3.04 μM), displaying promising anticancer activity.

Efficient polymer supported synthesis of multi-substituted pyrimidine-4-one derivatives was described. Target products were produced from fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl（Fmoc） protected β-amino acid loaded on hydro- xymethyl resin through deprotection, N-alkylation, guanidine formation, and cleavage of 2,2,4,6,7-pentamethyl dihy-drobenzofuran-sulfonyl（Pbf） by trifluoracetic acid（TFA） followed with cyclization. The procedure has the advantages of easy operation, mild reaction conditions, and forming multiple substituents.

A series of 4-anilino-6-phenylpyrimidines containing urea moiety were synthesized and the structures of all products were confirmed by^(1)H NMR,^(13)C NMR and *** antiproliferative activities of these compounds were evaluated against three human tumor cell lines(MGC-803,MCF-7 and EC-109)by applying the MTT assay *** 4a,4b and 6a showed the most effective activity,among which,6a was more cytotoxic than 5-fluorouracil against all tested human cancer cell lines with IC_(50) values ranging from 1.80 to 2.72μmol·L^(-1).
