Background:Further advancement in schistosomiasis prevention requires new tools to assess protective motivation,and promote innovative intervention *** study aimed to develop and evaluate an instrument developed based on the protection motivation theory(PMT)to predict protective behavior intention against schistosomiasis among adolescents in ***:We developed the Schistosomiasis PMT Scale based on two appraisal pathways of protective motivation-threat appraisal pathway and coping appraisal *** from a large sample of middle school students(n=2238,51%male,mean age 13.13±1.10)recruited in Hubei,China was used to evaluated the validity and reliability of the ***:The final scale contains 18 items with seven ***’s Alpha coefficients for the entire instrument was 0.76,and for the seven sub-constructs of severity,vulnerability,intrinsic reward,extrinsic reward,response efficacy,self-efficacy and response cost was 0.56,0.82,0.75,0.80,0.90,0.72 and 0.70,*** construct validity analysis revealed that the one level 7 sub-constructs model fitted data well(GFI=0.98,CFI=0.98,RMSEA=0.03,Chi-sq/df=3.90,pmotivation in schistosomiasis prevention *** studies are needed to develop more effective intervention programs for schistosomiasis prevention.

Study on the Value of the theory of protection motivation in the Nursing of Spinal Fracture to the Quality of Life

Objective:To analyze the effect of protection motivation theory on the quality of life of patients with spinal ***:From August 2019 to September 2020,72 patients with spinal fracture were selected and randomly divided into two *** routine nursing group was the routine nursing group,and the combined nursing with the theory of protective motivation was the dynamic nursing ***:The hospitalization time,detumescence time,healing time and muscle strength recovery time of group A were shorter than those of group B(Pprotection motivation theory in the nursing of patients with spinal fracture can shorten the healing time of fracture,promote the recovery of muscle strength,relieve the pain of fracture,and then improve the ability of daily life and quality of life of patients.

Potential Linkages Between Social Capital,Flood Risk Perceptions,and Self-Efficacy

A growing focus is being placed on both individuals and communities to adapt to flooding as part of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–*** to flooding requires sufficient social capital(linkages between members of society),risk perceptions(understanding of risk),and self-efficacy(selfperceived ability to limit disaster impacts)to be ***,there is limited understanding of how social capital,risk perceptions,and self-efficacy *** seek to explore how social capital interacts with variables known to increase the likelihood of successful *** study these linkages we analyze survey data of 1010 respondents across two communities in Thua Tien-Hue Province in central Vietnam,using ordered probit *** find positive correlations between social capital,risk perceptions,and self-efficacy *** is a partly contrary finding to what was found in previous studies linking these concepts in Europe,which may be a result from the difference in risk *** absence of an overall negative exchange between these factors has positive implications for proactive flood risk adaptation.
