Problems of production management in Agile Manufacturing Environment and their Countermeasures

Agile manufacturing is a new production mode. This pa per discusses the four problems of production management in the environment of a gile manufacturing, and some countermeasures are advanced: (1) Organization of production. Traditional MTO production or MTS production ca n not meet the requirement of agile manufacturing which request both high produc tivity and the manufacturing flexibility. For this, the paper advances best way is to use the production organization mode of MCP (Mass Customization production ),and some strategies of MCP are discussed. (2) production planning. The requirement of agile manufacturing to production pl anning embodies in two facets: synchronization and flexibility. The paper su ggests that the structure and function of MRPII system should be improved in ord er to meet the demand of agile manufacturing. (3) production control. The problem of production control is how to reduce the u ncertainty of hand over time between enterprises and increase the production syn chronization level. The paper advances some research direction on improving production ability. (4) Quality control. The problems of quality management are how to transfer the information of customer’s quality requirement between different organizations an d how to keep the consistency and stability of quality. Some countermeasures are advanced. In the end of the paper, one case advanced administrates how to utilize the thou ghts of agile manufacturing to upgrade the competition ability.

An integrated production planning and control model based on MRPⅡand JIT is put forward through analyzing the characteristics of magnetic materials manufacturing companies. Master production Schedule with limited capacity and operational plan in workshop level based on the basic data of flow chart are formulated by this model which applied JIT idea and based on customer order demand. Push production is adapted during execution phase combined with process flow cards. The model is helpful to reduce inventory,keep certain flexbility of production and improve continuity and equilibrium of manufacturing process.

The article deals with possible approaches to the management of manufacturing organizations. The authors emphasize the need for integration of lean management with eco-innovation. This integration represents a sustainable development so that environmental impacts are reduced, more effective use of natural resources is achieved and production costs are reduced. Manufacturing organizations based on that approach must use so-called pull production control systems. Pull systems are most often presented in production management system--Kanban. This article also deals with specification of these systems and the development of pull strategies in production management in order to increase efficiency of manufacturing enterprise.

In order to solve information island problem of offshore oil and gas field production-related information system,including repetitive reporting and input of data,data isolation of central control system,inadequate follow-up analysis and development to support oil and gas field production management,and so ***,the introduction of MES(Manufacturing Execution System)production execution system in the manufacturing industry and downstream production of offshore oil has become an inevitable *** system utilizes the real-time database combined with relational database to collect the scattered structured data,such as the production process real-time data,production management documents and statistical tables of offshore oil and gas production *** establishes a unified data center platform for each operation area and production site,so as to centralize the related production management data at production *** system realizes many functions,including the production management support like production report generation as well as presentation and POB,equipment management support like PM optimization,remote configuration and monitoring of production operation,status trend analysis,and production event *** implementation of MES system in offshore oil and gas field production management perfects the overall information system of China National Offshore Oil Corporation more and gradually enhances its comprehensive benefits.

Impact of agricultural residual plastic film on the growth and yield of drip-irrigated cotton in arid region of Xinjiang, China

Long-term and widespread use of plastic mulching has led to the accumulation of residual plastic film(RPF)in farmland soils of Xinjiang,***,there is no specific quantitative basis for RPF pollution or a clear understanding of the influence of residual film on crop *** aim of this study was to investigate the effect of RPF on the growth of cotton,an important cash crop of *** on the field conditions and previous reports,various amount of residual film was applied in 0-30 cm soil *** growth index including emergence rate,dry matter,and yield of cotton was examined at different growth stages under different soil residual film *** demonstrated a significant effect of RPF on soil moisture distribution and *** residues had a significant effect on cotton growth at levels above 200 kg/hm2,and the yield decreased as the RPF amount *** on these findings,200 kg/hm2 was suggested as a threshold level to determine the effects of RPF on *** study provided a basis to rate RPF pollution in farmland soils and help understand the impact of pollution on crop productivity.

In this paper ,based on JIT management technique, a multi objective job scheduling model is presented. After a new algorithm is presented for minimizing the range of lateness on a single machine , a heuristic algorithm (named M-R algorithm)is given to be applied to the parallel machines’ systems . Finally , an illustrative example is given.

Performance measurement(PM)generates useful data for process control,facilitates communication between different sectors,and helps to align efforts on the most important aspects of the ***,PM plays a key role in the management of projects and *** is also important in the implementation of lean production principles and methods,such as reducing the share of nonvalue-adding activities,increasing process transparency,building continuous improvement into the process,and ***,the adoption of the lean production philosophy requires changes in *** its importance,limited studies have been conducted on the use of PM systems for assessing the impact of lean production programs in construction *** addition,studies on how lean companies(or projects)use performance measurement and to what extent the indicators adopted reflect the result of actions that have been undertaken are *** study proposes a set of requirements in PM systems of construction projects from the perspective of lean production and a taxonomy of performance metrics for lean production *** empirical studies have been carried out on construction companies from South America involved in the implementation of lean production *** scope of this investigation is limited to the construction projects as production systems rather than PM at the level of construction organizations.
