Energy-Efficient and Secure power allocation and Trajectory Optimization for UAV-Enabled Data Collection in Wireless Sensor Networks

Using unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)to collect data in wireless sensor networks(WSNs)has advantages of controllable mobility and flexible ***,there are potential challenges of energy limitation and data security which may limit such *** cope with these challenges,a complicated and intractable optimization problem is formulated,which maximizes the performance metric of secrecy energy efficiency(EE)subject to the constraints of secrecy rate,maximum power,and ***,an energy-efficient and secure solution is developed to improve the secrecy EE of the UAV-enabled data collection in the WSNs by joint optimizing the UAV’s trajectory and velocity along with the sensors’*** proposed solution is an iterative algorithm based on the optimization approaches of alternating optimization,successive convex approximation,and fractional *** results demonstrate that the proposed solution scheme is effective for improving the secrecy EE while guaranteeing the data security.

In this paper, a network scenario of two-way relaying over orthogonal frequency division multiplexing （OFDM） is considered, in which two nodes intend to exchange the information via a relay using physical-layer network coding （PLNC）. Assuming that the full channel knowledge is available, an optimization problem, which maximizes the achievable sum rate under a sum-power constraint, is investigated. It is shown that the optimization problem is non-convex, which is difficult to find the global optimum solution in terms of the computational complexity. In consequence, a low-complexity optimal power allocation scheme is proposed for practice implementation. A link capacity diagram is first employed for power allocation on each subcarrier. Subsequently, an equivalent relaxed optimization problem and Karush-Kuhn-Tucker （KKT） conditions are developed for power allocation among each subcarrier. Simulation results demonstrate that the substantial capacity gains are achieved by implementing the proposed schemes efficiently with a low-complexity computational effort.

A distributed power allocation scheme was presented to maximize the system capacity in dense small cell networks. A new signaling called inter-cell-signal to interference plus noise ratio （ISINR） as well as its modification was defined to show the algebraic properties of the system capacity. With the help of ISINR, we have an easy way to identify the local monotonicity of the system capacity. Then on each subchannel in iteration, we divide the small cell evolved node B＇s （SeNBs） into different subsets. For the first subset, the sum rate is convex with respect to the power domain and the power optimally was allocated. On the other hand, for the second subset, the sum rate is monotone decreasing and the SeNBs would abandon the subchannel in this iteration. The two strategies are applied iteratively to improve the system capacity. Simulations show that the proposed scheme can achieve much larger system capacity than the conventional ones. The scheme can achieve a promising tradeoffbetween performance and signaling overhead.

To mitigate interference on celledge users and improve fairness of the whole system, dynamic inter-cell interference coordination(ICIC) is one of the promising solutions. However, traditional dynamic ICIC is considered as an NP-hard problem and power variability further adds another dimension to this joint optimization issue, making it even more difficult to quickly reach a near-optimal solution. Therefore, we theoretically obtain the closed-form expression of the near-optimal power allocation ratio for users in adjacent cells paired in the same resource block and interfere each other, so that the total utility corresponding to α-fairness is maximized. Dynamic ICIC using this closed-form solution could improve user fairness without causing an increment of the computational complexity. Numerical results show that, compared with the schemes using identical power for different users, our method does not obviously degrade the system's average spectral efficiency.

An amplify-and-forward （AF） based multi-relay network is studied. In order to minimize the system outage probability with a required transmission rate, a joint power allocation （PA） and multi-relay selection scheme is proposed under both total and individual power constraints （TIPC）. In the proposed scheme, the idea of ordering is adopted to avoid exhaustive search without losing much system performance. Besides the channel quantity, the ordering algorithm proposed in this article also takes relays＇ maximal output ability into consideration, which is usually ignored in traditional relay ordering algorithms. In addition, simple power reallocation method is provided to avoid repetitive PA operation during the process of searching all possible relay subsets. By Adopting the idea of ordering and using the proposed power reallocation method lead to remarkable decrease of the computation complexity, making the scheme easier and more feasible to implement in practical communication scenarios. Simulations show that the proposed multi-relay selection scheme provides similar performance compared to the optimal scheme with optimal PA and exhaustive search （OPAES） but with much lower complexity.
