Summary What is already known about this topic?The psychological impact of the large-scale infection of the Population resulting from the end of lockdown measures in China during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic is unknown.What is added by this report?Among all participants,55.7%had depression symptoms,with a significant difference between the infected and non-infected groups,and 30.1%had anxiety.Those who were young,unvaccinated,had lower incomes,and experienced chronic diseases were more likely to experience negative emotions.What are the implications for public health practice?Government officials should take into account the effect of policies on public sentiment during similar public health events and implement tailored community interventions to address any negative sentiment.

Summary What is already known about this topic?Limited evidence exists regarding the relationship between pregnancy loss and female-specific cancers within the Chinese Population from prospective cohort studies.What is added by this report?Terminations were associated with a 13%lower risk of endometrial cancer,whereas stillbirths were related to an 18%higher risk of cervical cancer.Rural residents with a history of pregnancy loss experienced a 19%and 38%increased risk of breast and cervical cancers,respectively,compared to their urban counterparts.Moreover,a positive graded relationship between live births and pregnancy loss on cervical cancer was observed.What are the implications for public health practice?This study has significant implications for identifying women at an increased risk for breast and genital cancers and contributes to the development of effective public health strategies for female cancer prevention.Future research on reproductive history,particularly in rural areas,should be given priority in efforts to improve female cancer screening and early detection.

史前人类活动强度的分布显著受气候条件和地理格局的影响.人类活动能否突破地理环境的制约,又如何响应气候变化和技术发展是目前自然科学和社会科学共同关注的重大问题之一.在长时间尺度下寻找和发现人类活动与气候环境变化的关系,是回答上述问题的重要突破口.本文基于考古遗址;C数据概率密度、核密度等分析,揭示出以胡焕庸线为界的人类活动强度(人口)的分布模式:在新仙女木事件结束、东部地区开始驯化农作物后形成(距今约11400年前),并基本保持稳定;但在距今5200、3800和2800年前,胡焕庸线西部人类活动强度显著增加,分析认为这3次事件可能受到全新世中晚期我国东部降水相对减少而西部降水相对增加的跷跷板变化的影响,有助于人类向西部地区迁徙,气候变化可能对人类活动强度的时空变化产生深远影响.在研究史前人类迁徙的时空格局时,应考虑自然环境和人类社会发展的双重因素.

Introduction:The transmissibility of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)Omicron variant poses challenges for the existing measures containing the virus in China.In response,this study investigates the effectiveness of Population-level testing(PLT)and contact tracing(CT)to help curb coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)resurgences in China.Methods:Two transmission dynamic models(i.***.with and without age structure)were developed to evaluate the effectiveness of PLT and CT.Extensive simulations were conducted to optimize PLT and CT strategies for COVID-19 control and surveillance.Results:Urban Omicron resurgences can be controlled by multiple rounds of PLT,supplemented by CT—as long as testing is frequent.This study also evaluated the time needed to detect COVID-19 cases for surveillance under different routine testing rates.The results show that there is a 90%probability of detecting COVID-19 cases within 3 days through daily testing.Otherwise,it takes around 7 days to detect COVID-19 cases at a 90%probability level if biweekly testing is used.Routine testing applied to the age group 21–60 for COVID-19 surveillance would achieve similar performance to that applied to all Populations.Discussion:Our analysis evaluates potential PLT and CT strategies for COVID-19 control and surveillance.

Summary What is already known about this topic?Available evidence suggested that 31%of the world’s Population do not meet the minimum recommendations for physical activity.What is added by this report?The latest findings showed that physical activity level(PAL),metabolic equivalents(MET)in min/week withPopulation in Changchunyuan Community,Weixiuyuan Community,Zhongguanyuan Community,Yanbeiyuan Community,Kangzeyuan Community,and Xima Community,respectively.The moderate and high PAL was associated with a decreased risk of hypertension,cardiovascular disease,dyslipidemia,and poor sleep.What are the implications for public health practice?More attention should be given to the middle-aged Population who may be at high risk of insufficient physical activity in urban environments as it is of public health significance for improving the community Population health.

Summary What is already known about this topic?The global Population is predicted to reach 8 billion by the end of 2022,which can delay the progress and exacerbate the challenges of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs),especially the goal of“Zero Hunger.”What is added by this report?During the next 15 years,it is predicted that the world’s Population will increase from 8 billion to 9 billion people.Although food insecurity is anticipated to decrease over the next three decades for most of the world,food insecurity is anticipated to increase in Africa.Accelerating Population growth is projected to lead to larger percentages of infants with low birth weight and of children under 5 years old with stunted growth.What are the implications for public health practice?Rapid Population growth will make it more difficult to achieve the SDGs for ending hunger and ensuring good health and well-being.It is important to develop foresight and adopt proactive planning that is guided by careful demographic analysis.
