多栉蚁Formica polyctena Foerster,1850又名秃背林蚁。头部和胸部的直立毛非常稀疏且短,外咽片上只有一到两根非常纤细的毛,或无。刻纹通常比红褐林蚁Formicarufa稍粗,刻点间隔很大。一个巢穴中通常具很多蚁后,有时多达1000只或更多。
