The effects of different spectral light distribution on in vitro induction and proliferation of Oncidium protocorm-like bodies（PLBs） and subsequent growth of plantlets were *** tips（5 mm in length） of in proliferating shoots of Oncidium"Gower Ramsey"were vertically incubated on 1/2 Murashige and Skoog（MS） medium supplemented with 1.0 mg I 6-benzyladenine（BA）,and grown under either monochromatic red light-emitting diodes（LEDs）(RR),blue LEDs（BB）,yellow LEDs（YY） or green LEDs （GG）.Cultures grown under fluorescent lamps（FL） were used as *** FL-induced PLBs were cut into 3 to 4 mm sections and incubated on MS medium supplemented with 1.0 mg I BA and 0.5 mg lα-naphthaleneacetic acid（NAA）,and grown under RR,BB,YY,GG,or ***,FL-differented shoots（15 mm in length with two leaves） were incubated on 1/2 MS medium with 0.5 mg I NAA,and grown under either FL,RR,10%blue+90%red LEDs（1BR）,20%blue+80%red LEDs（2BR）,30% blue+70%red LEDs（3BR）,BB,80%red+10%blue+10%far-red LEDs（RBFr）,or 80%red+10% blue+10%green LEDs（RBG）.Overall,the red light spectrum enhanced induction,proliferation,the carbohydrate contents of PLBs,as well as subsequent plantlet *** the blue spectrum promoted differentiation,protein accumulation,and enzyme activities in PLBs,as well as pigment content accumulation in PLBs and developing *** combination of red and blue LEDs resulted in higher energy efficiency as well as dry weight and enzyme activities in these plantlets.

The effects of different spectral distributions on induction and proliferation of Oncidium PLB(protocorm-like body)and the growth of Oncidium plantlets in vitro were *** different spectral distribution generated from LEDs(light-emitting diodes)and the fluorescent lamp was used as the *** the red spectrum,the Oncidium PLB differentiation rate was the lowest,the PLB proliferation rate and the contents of carbohydrate in PLB were the *** the blue spectrum,the Oncidium PLB differentiation rate was the highest,the contents of protein and enzyme activity in PLB were the *** elongation of Oncidium plantlets in vitro was the most and the pigments were the lowest in the red spectrum,while in the blue spectrum it was just *** with the fluorescent light,in the treatments of red combining with blue-LEDs,better growth parameters,higher enzyme activity and energy efficiency for plantlets in vitro were *** red-LEDs were effective for Oncidium PLB induction,blue LEDs were advantageous for Oncidium differentiation,and the complex of red and blue-LEDs was suitable for Oncidium plantlets in vitro.
