This work shows a didactic model representative of the quarks described in the Standard Model (SM). In the model, particles are represented by structures corresponding to geometric shapes of coupled quantum oscillators (GMP). From these didactic hypotheses emerges an in-depth phenomenology of particles (quarks) fully compatible with that of SM, showing, besides, that the number of possible quarks is six.

pion cloud effects on △-N mass splitting are studied based on quark models. Pseudo-scalar pion-quarkcoupling is discussed in the relativistic and nonrelativistic frameworks. We separately calculate the pion cloud effects bythe one-pion exchange potential and by another method which is consistent with the baryon chiral perturbation theory.Remark able discrepancy in the mass splitting between the two methods is shown.

The valence-quark distribution function of the pion has been of interest for decades;particularly,the profile it should adopt when x→1(the large-x behavior)has been the subject of a long-standing debate.In the light-front holographic QCD(LFHQCD)approach,this behavior is controlled by the so-called reparametrization function,wτ(x),which is not fully determined from first principles.We show that,owing to the flexibility of wτ(x),the large-x profile u^π(x)∼(1−x)^2 can be contained within the LFHQCD formalism.This is in contrast to a previous LFHQCD study(Guy F.de Teramond et al.,Phys.Rev.Lett.,120(18),2018)in which u^π(x)∼(1−x)^1 was found instead.Given our observations,augmented by perturbative QCD and recent lattice QCD results,we state that the large-x exponent of“2”cannot be excluded.

The role of Poincaré covariant space-time translations is investigated in the case of a relativistic quantum mechanics approach to the pion charge form factor.It is shown that the related constraints are generally inconsistent with the assumption of a single-particle current,which is most often referred to.The only exception is the front-form approach with q ^＋ = 0.How accounting for the related constraints,as well as restoring the equivalence of different RQM approaches in estimating form factors,is discussed.Some extensions of this work and,in particular,the relationship with a dispersion-relation approach,are presented.Conclusions relative to the underlying dynamics are given.

In this study,we utilize a potentially versatile Bayesian parameter approach to compute the value of the pion charge radius and quantify its uncertainty from several experimental e^(+)e^(-) datasets for the pion vector form factor.We employ dispersion relations to model the pion vector form factor to extract the radius.Nested model selection is used to determine the order of polynomial appearing in the form factor formulation that can be supported by the data,adapting the computation of Bayes evidence and Bayesian effective complexity based on Occam's razor.Our findings indicate that five out of six used datasets favor the nine-parameter model for radius extraction,and accordingly,we average the radii from the datasets.Despite some inconsistencies with the most updated radius values,our approach may serve as a more intuitive method of addressing parameter estimations in dispersion theory.

The Monte-Carlo samples of pion, kaon and proton generated from 0.3 GeV/c to 1.2 GeV/c by the ‘tester＇ generator from SIMBES which are used to simulate the detector of BES Ⅱ are identified with the Bayesian neural networks （BNN）. The pion identification and misidentification efficiencies are obviously better at high momentum region using BNN than the methods of χ^2 analysis of dE/dX and TOF information. The kaon identification and misidentification efficiencies are obviously better from 0.3 GeV/c to 1.2 GeV/c using BNN than the methods of X2 analysis. The proton identification and misidentification efficiencies using BNN are basically consistent with the ones of χ^2 analysis. The anti-proton identification and misidentification efficiencies are better below 0.6 GeV/c using BNN than the methods of χ^2 analysis.

Within the framework of the isospin-dependent transport model, the roles of the reactions N? → NN and πN→ ? are investigated through simulating heavy-ion collisions at 1000 MeV/nucleon. The absorption process N? → NN plays an important role for heavy impact systems and small impact parameters than for light impact systems and large impact parameters. The resorption process πN→ ? is of importance for heavy impact systems and large impact parameters than for light impact systems and small impact parameters. Thus the influences of the reaction N? → N N(πN→ ?) on pion production dynamics can be neglected in heavy-ion collisions for smaller(larger) impact parameters and light systems. It is the reaction πN→ ? that causes the anti-correlation of pions and nucleons in the rapidity dependence of the directed flow.

We have measured the cross section for π^＋π^- production in two-photon collisions using a data sample with an integrated luminosity of 85.9 fb^-1 collected with the Belle detector. The f0（980） resonance is observed as a peak in the energy spectrum of the cross section. We also report preliminary results for γγ→ π^0π^0 with two-photon center-of-mass energies ranging from 0.6 to 4.0 GeV, based on a 95 fb-1 data sample. We find at least four resonant structures including a peak from f0（980）. In addition, there is evidence for Xc0 production. We also make a preliminary discussion of the angular dependence and cross section ratio of γγ →π^＋π^- and γγ→π^oπ^o.
