Output feedback controller design for uncertain piecewise linear systems

This paper proposes output feedback controller design methods for uncertain piecewise linear systems based on piecewise quadratic Lyapunov function. The α-stability of closed-loop systems is also considered. It is shown that the output feedback controller design procedure of uncertain piecewise linear systems with α-stability constraint can be cast as solving a set of bilinear matrix inequalities （BMIs）. The BMIs problem in this paper can be solved iteratively as a set of two convex optimization problems involving linear matrix inequalities （LMIs） which can be solved numerically efficiently. A numerical example shows the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

This paper considers the stability analysis of uncertain discrete-time piecewise linear systems with time delays based on piecewise Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals. It is shown that the stability can be established for the control systems if there is a piecewise Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, and moreover, the functional can be obtained by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities （LMIs） that are numerically feasible. A numerical example is given to demonstrate the efficiency and advantage of the proposed method.

In this work,we propose a graph approach for stability of piecewise linear systems.A stability criterion is presented based on the attractivity of an invariant *** approach is applied to analyzing the consensus of opinion dynamics with a uniform confidence level,which leads to an easily verifiable sufficient condition for consensus.

This paper investigates the robust H static output feedback(SOF) controller design for a class of continuous- time piecewise linear *** objective is to design a piecewise SOF controller guaranteeing the asymptotic stability of the resulting closed-loop system with a prescribed H disturbance attenuation *** on common/piecewise Lyapunov functions combined with Projection Lemma and some convexiflcation techniques,some new results to the SOF controller design are developed for the underlying continuous-time piecewise linear *** is shown that the controller gains can be obtained by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities,which are numerically efficient with commercially available software.A simulation example is also given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approaches.

This paper deals with the H finite-horizon filtering for discrete piecewise linear systems with infinite distributed delays and quantization *** modes and their transitions of augmented piecewise linear systems are *** quantisation phenomenon is described by the logarithmic function and the time delays are assumed to be randomly occurred and infinitely distributed in the discrete-time *** in this paper is focused on the design of a H filter such that,for the quantisation phenomenon and randomly occurred time delays,the H performance of the augmented dynamic system is guaranteed with a prescribed attenuation level γ.Such a technique relies on the forward solution to a set of recursive linear matrix *** is worth mentioning that,in the filtering process,the information of both the current measurement and the previous state estimate is employed to estimate the current ***,a simulation example is exploited to show the effectiveness of the method proposed in this paper.

This paper presents an H∞ controller design method for piecewise discrete time linear systems based on a piecewise quadratic Lyapunov function. It is shown that the resulting closed loop system is globally stable with guaranteed H∞ performance and the controller can be obtained by solving a set of bilinear matrix inequalities. It has been shown that piecewise quadratic Lyapunov functions are less conservative than the global quadratic Lyapunov functions. A simulation example is also given to illustrate the advantage of the proposed approach.
