Tissue engineering scaffolds made of conventional aliphatic polyesters are inherently non-fluorescent,which results in their in vivo degradation hard to be *** biodegradable polyorganophosphazenes(PPOPs)are synthesized by introducing fluorophores onto the polyphosphazene backbone via nucleophilic substitution *** this study,a fluorophore(termed as TPCA),derived from citric acid and 2-aminoethanethiol,was co-substituted with alanine ethyl ester onto the polyphosphazene backbone to obtain a photoluminescent biodegradable POPP(termed as PTA).The scaffolds made of PTA demonstrated non-cytotoxicity and cell affinity,particularly,capacity in promoting osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells(BMSCs).In vivo evaluations using the rat calvarial defect model confirmed its strong potential in enhancing osteogenesis,more importantly,the in vivo degradation of the PTA scaffold could be monitored via its fluorescence intensity alongside implantation time.

Praseodymium doped lithium yttrium molybdate Li Y1-8x Pr x（Mo O4）2（x=0.005-0.025） phosphors were successfully prepared by the hydrothermal method. The phase, morphology, and luminescent property of the prepared phosphors were investigated by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The results indicated that doping of Pr^3＋ ions did not change the main phase of the phosphors. The samples emitted red luminescence upon excitation at 453 nm and the strongest emission peak corresponding to the characteristic transition of the Pr3＋ ion： 3P0→3F2 was observed at 657 nm. Li Y（Mo O4）2：Pr^3＋ red phosphors could be effectively excited by blue light emitting-diodes to emit red light; thus, acting as potential candidates for compensating the red light deficiency of cerium doped yttrium aluminum garnet yellow phosphor.

A novel tetranuclear cadmium complex （[{Cd（CIsHsOTS）（H20）（DMSO）}3{Cd（CtsH807S）（H20）2}]. 3DMSO.H20） was obtained by the self-assembly of Cd（II） with 5,7-dihydroxyflavone-6-sulfonate. The complex was characterized by IH NMR, IR, elemental analysis and X-ray single-crystal diffraction studies. It crystallizes in triclinic, space group P]-. In the complex, the chelate atoms of Cd（II） are all from oxygen. Four Cd（II） are con- nected via the carbonyl and 5-hydroxyanion of four ligands and form an approximate square. Four ligands locate at two sides of the square, and two of them at the same side are almost parallel and exist aromatic n-n stacking. Ligands on the opposite side of the square are nearly perpendicular. The result of the luminescent studies indicated that the solid of the complex shwed photoluminescent properties because of a combination of coordination, hydro- gen bonding and n-n stacking interaction in the molecule structure. The complex emits green fluorescence （2em= 496 nrn） when it is excited at the wavelength of 440 nm.

A new cadmium（Ⅱ） coordination polymer with unique structure was synthesized under diffusion process by employing triangular N-containing ligand tris（4-（pyridyl） phenyi） amine （Tppa）. Complex 1 crystallizes in the space group Pbcn, with a = 28.906（3）, b = 13.5294（14）, c = 17.8727（18） A, V= 6989.7（12） A^3, C66H48CdCl2N8, Mr = 1136.42, De = 1.080 g/cm^3, F（000） = 2328, μ= 0.428 mm^-1 and Z = 4. Complex 1 features a 2D → 3D framework with the coexistence of inclined polycatenation and polythreading. In addition, the luminescent property of complex 1 was studied.

Two zinc complexes, [Zn(MPIP)Cl2](1) and [Zn(EPIP)Cl2](2), where MPIP = 1-(methoxymethyl)-3-(pyridin-2-yl)imidazo[1,5-a]pyridine and EPIP = 1-(ethoxymethyl)-3-(pyridin-2-yl)imidazo[1,5-a]pyridine, were synthesized under solvothermal conditions. The etheric ligand MPIP was formed in situ via metal ligand reaction between(3-(pyridin-2-yl)imidazo[1,5-a]pyridin-1-yl)methanol(HPIPM) and methanol solvent. Similarly, the ligand EPIP was generated in situ from the reaction of HPIPM with ethanol solvent. The structures of 1 and 2 were characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis. They are four-coordinated mononuclear complexes, and the ZnII ion of 1 and 2 displays distorted tetrahedral geometry. The photoluminescent properties of 1 and 2 were investigated. Strong emissions were observed for both 1 and 2, which were ascribed as the intraligand(π-π*) fluorescent transitions. This paper provides a simple and efficient method for the synthesis of etheric compounds.

Four new [CunIn]-based coordination polymers, [{Cu4(μ3-I)4(mbbm)2}·2DMF]n (1), [(CuI)2(mbbm)2]n (2), [{Cu2(μ-I)2-(ebbm)2}·2MeCN]n (3), and [Cu2(μ-I)2(prbbm)2]n (4), were prepared from solvothermal reactions of CuI with three flexible ligands [(bzim)(CH2)n(bzim)] (bzim = benzimidazole; n = 1, mbbm; n = 2, ebbm; n = 3, prbbm). These compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and X-ray crystallography. 1 consists of cubanelike [Cu4(μ3-I)4] fragments that link the neighboring ones via mbbm bridges to form a 1D ladder-type chain. 2 contains mononuclear [CuI] fragments that are bridged by mbbm ligands to yield a 1D zigzag chain. 3 or 4 contains a [Cu2(μ-I)2] dimeric fragment, which works as a four-connecting node to link its four equivalent ones to form a 2D (4,4) network (3) or acts as a two-connecting node to connect its two equivalent ones via two pairs of prbbm bridges to form a 1D double chain (4). The photoluminescent properties of 1-4 in the solid state at ambient temperature were investigated.

Solvothermal reactions of MnCl_2·4H_2O with(pyridin-2-yl)methyl 4-(2-(4-((pyridin-2-yl)methoxy)phenyl)diazenyl)benzoate(L1) via an in situ ligand transformation reaction produced a new coordination polymer, {[Mn_(2.5)Cl_3L_2(H_2O)]·H_2O}_n(1, where HL = 4-(2-(4-((pyridin-2-yl)methoxy)phenyl)diazenyl)benzoic acid). The L1 ligand was decomposed in situ to L^- which was coordinated with Mn(Ⅱ) to form compound 1 in the solvothermal synthesis process. Complex 1 was characterized by IR spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction and single-crystal X-ray *** 1 possesses a 2D network. In addition, stability and photoluminescent property of 1 were also investigated.

By the reaction of cadmium chloride with a reduced Schiff base ligand （H2L= N-（4- carboxybenzyl）-glycine）, a novel Cd（Ⅱ） compound [Cd（HL）2]·4H2O （1） has been obtained. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that it crystallizes in orthorhombic, space group Pbcn with a = 13.9788（8）, b = 24.4204（14）, c = 13.9580（8） A, V= 4764.8（5） A^3, Z = 8, Mr = 600.84, Dc = 1.675 g/cm^3,/z = 0.983 mm^-1, F（000） = 2448, S = 1.084, R = 0.0806 and wR = 0.1705 （I〉 2a（1））. It displays a 2D two-fold interpenetrating structure. The Cd（Ⅱ） ions are six-coordinated. The cross-linkage of Cd（Ⅱ） ions by the bridge of HL anions results in a [Cd（HL）2] layer. Every two [Cd（HL）2]n layers are penetrated with each other, resulting in a two-fold interpenetrating double-layer structure by π-π stacking interactions and hydrogen bonds. Such double-layers are further linked by hydrogen bonds into a supramolecular structure. photoluminescent investigation shows that compound 1 displays strong emission in the purple region.

Two metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) of formulae [Co7(L)3(4,4′-BPy)2(OH)2(H2O)6]·-4 H2O(1) and [Cd2(L)(2,2′-BPy)2]n(2, H4L = 5-(3,5-dicarboxybenzyloxy)-isophthalic acid,2,2′-BPy = 2,2?-bipyridine, 4,4′-BPy = 4,4′-bipyridine) were synthesized under solvothermal conditions. The structures of 1 and 2 were characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction *** complex 1, six cobalt atoms were connected by oxygen atoms to form a defect dicubane structure. The defect dicubane structures were further linked by Co(4,4?-BPy) units to generate a3-D network structure. Compound 2 displays a 2-D chain structure. The photoluminescent property of complex 2 is investigated. The results show the exclusive luminescence emission bands being originated from intraligand π-π^* transitions.

Nanocomposite films consisting of carboxymethyl cellulose,polyethylene oxide(CMC/PEO),and anatase titanium diox-ide(TO)were produced by the use of sol-gel and solution casting ***2 nanocrystals were effectively incorporated into CMC/PEO polymers,as shown by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and attenuated total reflectance fourier transform infrared(ATR-FTIR)*** roughness growth is at high levels of TO nanocrystals(TO NCs),which means increasing active sites and defects in CMC/*** differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)thermograms,the change in glass transition temperature(Tg)val-ues verifies that the polymer blend interacts with TO *** increment proportions of TO NCs have a notable impact on the dielectric performances of the nanocomposites,as *** electrical properties of the CMC/PEO/TO nanocomposite undergo significant *** nanocomposite films exhibit a red alteration in the absorption edge as the concentration of TO NCs increases in the polymer *** decline in the energy gap is readily apparent as the weight percentage of TO NCs *** photoluminescence(PL)emission spectra indicate that the sites of the luminescence peak maximums show slight variation;peaks get wider,while their intensities decrease dramatically as the concentration of TO *** nanocomposite materials show potential for multifunctional applications including optoelectronics,antireflection coatings,pho-tocatalysis,light emitting diodes,and solid polymer electrolytes.
