Objective To clarify the rationality and to provide reasonable usage references of processed Corydalis Rhizoma （CR） in clinic by comparing respectively pharmacological actions including analgesic, anti-inflammation, antiplatelet aggregation and spasmolysis of Yuanhu Zhitong Tablet （YZT） and Yanhusuo Decoction （YD） constituted with raw CR （RCR） or processed CR （PCR）. Methods The hot-board, acetic-acid- induced twisting experiments and mouse auricular swelling model by injecting xylene in the abdomen of mouse were adopted to investigate the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of the four formulas on Kunming mice; The experiment of contractile activity on isolated rat intestine smooth muscle on Wistar rats was applied to observing the spasmolysis effect of the four formulas; The experiments of platelet aggregation induced by ADP or collagen on Wistar rats by turbidimetry method were used to observe the anti-platelet aggregation effect of the four formulas. Results Compared with RCR in two prescriptions, PCR displayed better analgesic effect （P 〈 0.05, 0.01）, while there was no difference on anti-inflammatory effect; Inhibition of the two prescriptions on smooth muscle spasm was presented well, and the prescription YD with PCR was remarkable （P 〈 0.05, 0.01）; Compared with the blank group, the two prescriptions showed outstanding effects on anti-platelet aggregation （P〈 0.01）, but no difference between RCR and PCR in two prescriptions. Conclusion PCR can improve the analgesic effect of prescription YZT and intensify the spasmolysis effect of prescription YD, which can be explained by the Chinese medicine processing regulation. Therefore, PCR is suggested to be chosen in YZT and YD used to cure pain symptoms.

Ocimum basilicum has a history of several thousand years,the plant resources are rich,and there are many kinds of chemical constituents and pharmacological activity. In the face of the human body,it has a broad role in many ways. O. basilicum has a long history of folk application and research,and very high officinal,edible and economic value. Combining with modern analysis and detection technology,the effective parts of O. basilicum are studied and utilized. The discovery of new drugs will have important practical significance for the development and application of O. basilicum.

Honeysuckle, the dry flower bud or with open flower of Lonicerajaponica in caprifoliaceae, has been touted as a cure-all for heat-clearing and detoxifying effect. Honeysuckle contains abundant components such as volatile oil, flavonoids and organic acids, playing the role of antibiosis, antivirus, antiphlogosis, immunopotenfiation and antioxidation. The active ingredients and pharmacological action of honeysuckle are reviewed in the paper, so as to lay the foundation for further application of honeysuckle in veterinary clinic.

Objective To quantify phytochemicals using liquid chromatography and mass spectroscopy(LCMS)analysis and explore the therapeutic effect of Aesculus hippocastanum L.(AH)seeds ethanolic extract against gastric ulcers in *** Preliminary phytochemical testing and LCMS analysis were performed according to standard *** treatment,the animals were divided into 7 groups including normal control,ulcer control,self-healing,AH seeds low and high doses,ranitidine and per se *** were orally administered with 10 mg/kg of indomethacin,excluding the normal control group(which received 1%carboxy methyl cellulose)and the per se group(received 200 mg/kg AH seeds extract).The test group rats were then given 2 doses of AH seeds extract(100 and 200 mg/kg,respectively),while the standard group was given ranitidine(50 mg/kg).On the 11th day,rats in all groups were sacrificed,and their stomach was isolated to calculate the ulcer index,and other parameters such as blood prostaglandin(PGE2),tissue superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),malonyldialdehyde(MDA),and glutathione(GSH).All isolated stomach tissues were analyzed for histopathological *** The phytochemical examination shows that the AH seeds contain alkaloids,flavonoids,saponins,phenolic components,and *** analysis confirms the presence of quercetin and *** AH seeds extract showed significant improvement in gastric mucosa conditions after indomethacin-induced gastric lesions(P<0.01).Further marked improvement in blood PGE2 and antioxidant enzymes,SOD,CAT,MDA and GSH,were observed compared with self-healing and untreated ulcer-induced groups(P<0.01).Histopathology results confirmed that AH seeds extract improved the mucosal layer and gastric epithelial membrane in treated groups compared to untreated ulcer-induced *** LCMS report confirms the presence of quercetin and rutin in AH seeds ethanolic *** therapeutic effect of AH seeds extract against indomethacin

Worldwide, colorectal cancer(CRC) is one of the most common malignant tumors, leading to immense social and economic burdens. Currently, the main treatments for CRC include surgery, chemotherapy,radiotherapy and immunotherapy. Despite advances in the diagnosis and treatment of CRC, the prognosis for CRC patients remains poor. Furthermore, the occurrence of side effects and toxicities severely limits the clinical use of these therapies. Therefore, alternative medications with high efficacy but few side effects are needed. An increasing number of modern pharmacological studies and clinical trials have supported the effectiveness of Chinese herbal medicines(CHMs) for the prevention and treatment of *** may be able to effectively reduce the risk of CRC, alleviate the adverse reactions caused by chemotherapy, and prolong the survival time of patients with advanced CRC. Studies of molecular mechanisms have provided deeper insight into the roles of molecules from CHMs in treating CRC. This paper summarizes the current understanding of the use of CHMs for the prevention and treatment of CRC, the main molecular mechanisms involved in these processes, the role of CHMs in modulating chemotherapyinduced adverse reactions, and CHM's potential role in epigenetic regulation of CRC. The current study provides beneficial information on the use of CHMs for the prevention and treatment of CRC in the clinic,and suggests novel directions for new drug discovery against CRC.

Moringa oleifera Lam.(Shigru)(Moringaceae family) is a traditional medicine used for control of diabetes, obesity, asthma, and cardiac,liver, gastrointestinal, infective, and brain disorders, such as depression and Alzheimer's disease. In Ayurvedic literature, Shigru is among few drugs having Balya(nourishing) as well as Medohara(antiobesity) property. This review focuses on valid connections between the properties documented in ancient literature and current pharmacological knowledge of Moringa, including pharmacological actions, phytochemistry,botanical description, and how Moringa can tackle malnutrition in India, especially Chhattisgarh. All information about M. oleifera was obtained from electronic scientific databases such as PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Elsevier, Google Scholar, Traditional Knowledge Digital Library, and Indian Traditional Books(Ancient Ayurveda literatures, The Wealth of India, and The Ayurvedic Formulary of India), postgraduate/doctoral thesis, and googling the keyword M. oleifera. M. oleifera have anti-oxidant, antimicrobial, anti-diabetic,anti-obesity, anti-inflammatory, cardioprotective, hepatoprotective, neuroprotective, gastroprotective, wound-healing properties and it can potentially tackle malnutrition. This review describes the key information related to botanical description of M. oleifera, phytochemistry,pharmacological actions, clinical studies, toxicological studies, better utilization as food therapeutics, and ethnobotanical and evidence-based comparative review of M. oleifera. M. oleifera can effectively tackle malnutrition in India, especially Chhattisgarh. The authors emphasize the need for future in-depth ethnopharmacological lead-based research and clinical studies to expand M. oleifera pharmacological activities,clinical efficacy, and safety.

Background:Ginkgo biloba *** listed in the Red List of Endangered Species by the International Union for Conservation of *** is an important medicinal plant in China and can be widely used in materials,gardens,and as a source of *** the large-scale planting of ginkgo plants,China,accounts for more than 70%of the world’s total gingko ***,*** *** the main extract under product development and ***,*** has been discarded as waste for a long time and has not been well developed and *** to incomplete statistics,nearly 40,000 tons are discarded in China every year,which not only wastes resources but also pollutes the ***:This is an issue of great significance and adds value to scientific *** aim to develop a key technology for resource recycling by combining *** waste resources and waste ***:Data were obtained by searching databases such as CNKI,and analyzing the herb application,modern application,main chemical components,utilization of waste parts,ways and modes combined with waste treatment,and safety of *** systematic analysis can serve as a reference for the recycling of waste resources in other ***:The chemical constituents of the outer seed coat of *** mainly include hydrophenols,phenolic acids,and biflavones,among which the phenolic acid of *** can be used to extract glycolic acid,which can inhibit Mycobacterium *** domestic waste produced by tuberculosis(TB)patients contains a large number of bacilli,and the incidence of transmission can be reduced by using glycolic acid to inhibit the growth of TB bacilli in the waste.
