Soil is an essential component of what surrounds us in nature, providing as the basis for our infrastructure and construction. However, soil is not always suitable for construction due to a variety of geotechnical issues such as inadequate bearing capacity, excessive settlement, and liquefaction susceptibility. Through improving the engineering qualities of soil, such as strength, permeability, and stability, ground grouting is a specific geotechnical method used. Using a fluid grout mixture injected into the subsurface, holes are filled and weak or loose strata are solidified as the material seeps into the soil matrix. The approach’s adaptability in addressing soil-related issues has made it more well-known in the fields of civil engineering and construction. In the end, this has improved groundwater management, foundation support, and overall geotechnical performance.

Optimization of cement-based grouts using chemical additives

Grout injection is used for sealing or strengthening the ground in order to prevent water entrance or any failure after *** are many methods of *** grouting is one of the most common types in which the grout material is injected to the pore spaces of the *** grouting operations,the grout quality is important to achieve the best *** are four main characteristics for a grout mixture including bleeding,setting time,strength,and *** this paper,we try to build some efficient grouting mixtures with different water to cement ratios considering these *** ingredients of grout mixtures built in this study are cement,water,bentonite,and some chemical additives such as sodium silicate,sodium carbonate,and triethanolamine(TEA).The grout mixtures are prepared for both of the sealing and strengthening purposes for a structural *** of each abovementioned ingredient is profoundly *** each ingredient may have positive or negative aspect,an optimization of appropriate amount of each ingredient is *** optimization is based on 200 grout mixture samples with different percentages of ***,some of these grout mixtures are chosen for the introduced *** should be mentioned that grouting operations depend on various factors such as pressure of injection,ground structure and grain size of ***,quality of a grout can be helpful to make an injection easier and *** example,during the injection,a wrong estimated setting time can destroy the injected grout by washing the grout or setting early which prevents *** paper tries to show some tests in easy way to achieve a desirable sample of grout.

Study on the characteristics of grout permeation based on cylindrical diffusion

permeation grouting is widely applied for its low grouting pressure and minor disturbance to the stratum in grouting engineering, especially in engineering with strict requirements on ground settlement. However, permeation grouting theory lags behind compared with other engineering disciplines, and the theoretical formulas now available cannot accurately be used to guide grouting engineering design and predict the cost and effects of grouting due to many factors affecting grout permeation in stratum. In this study, permeation grouting experiment devices were independently manufactured with the characteristics of easily controlling grouting pressure, simulating sandy strata grout, and detecting grouting effect. Using a uniform design, the sand consolidation agent, as grouting material, its spread in Shenyang sandy strata was tested with these experiment devices. The quantitative relations between grouting factors （grouting pressure, strata parameters, water-sand consolidation agent ratio） and grouting effects （grout spread radius, gell strength, grout amount） are obtained with regression analysis, and the influence degree of grouting factors on grouting effects is studied.
