＜正＞The ultimately performance aim of firm is value maximization, and measuring performance should take risk factor into account. The issue of theory and practice about Risk-Adjusted performance measurement （RAPM） in firms has been discussed for several years. This paper describes the development and application of RAPM or RAROC （Risk-adjusted return on capital） in corporate performance measures. There are two kinds of methodologies to measure firms performance, one is analyzing performance with financial ratios based on accounting, e.g. ROE or ROI, the other one is internal performance measurement based on economic profit. In this paper we principally study RAROC approach which is most important one of risk-adjusted performance measures.

Measuring Policy performance in Online Pricing with Offline Data:Worst-case Perspective and Bayesian Perspective

The problems of online pricing with offline data,among other similar online decision making with offline data problems,aim at designing and evaluating online pricing policies in presence of a certain amount of existing offline *** evaluate pricing policies when offline data are available,the decision maker can either position herself at the time point when the offline data are already observed and viewed as deterministic,or at the time point when the offline data are not yet generated and viewed as *** write a framework to discuss how and why these two different positions are relevant to online policy evaluations,from a worst-case perspective and from a Bayesian *** then use a simple online pricing setting with offline data to illustrate the constructions of optimal policies for these two approaches and discuss their differences,especially whether we can decompose the searching for the optimal policy into independent subproblems and optimize separately,and whether there exists a deterministic optimal policy.

A Maintenance Model Based on Phase Type Distribution for Equipment under Two Types of Failures

A maintenance model is put forward for equipment, which is subjected to internal and external failures. In the model, two maintenance pollcies--perfect minimal repair and replacement are considered. The operational time has a phase type distribution （PH distribution）. Failures＇ arrival follows a Markovian Arrival Process （MAP）. Some failures require the replacement of the system, and others minimal repairs. The performance measures-the mean number of minimal repairs and replacements are analyzed and calculated.

Roundabout performance Analysis Using Connected Vehicle Data

There are over 8000 roundabouts in the United States. The current techniques for assessing their performance require field counts to provide inputs to analysis or simulation models. These techniques are labor-intensive and do not scale well. This paper presents a methodology to use connected vehicle (CV) trajectory data to estimate delay and level of service for roundabout approaches by adapting the Purdue Probe Diagram used for traffic signal analytics. By linear referencing vehicle trajectories with a particular movement based on the location and time they exit a roundabout, delay can be calculated. The scalability is demonstrated by applying these techniques to assess over 100 roundabouts in Carmel, IN during the weekday afternoon peak period in July 2021. Over 264,000 trajectories and 3,600,000 GPS points were analyzed to rank over 300 roundabout approaches by delay and summarize in Pareto-sorted graphics and maps. The paper concludes by discussing how these techniques can also be used to analyze queue lengths and origin-destination characteristics at roundabouts. The methodology presented in this study can be used by any agency that wants to assess the performance of all roundabouts in their system.

＜正＞In recent years,many companies have been implementing ERP systems to overcome new challenges and survive severe business environment which is dramatically ***, implementation of ERP system requires a great deal of resources including money,time,efforts and *** the tremendous amount of costs and efforts,there are still doubts about the effects of ERP implementation. In this paper,by analyzing multi-year financial data of ERP-adopting firms,we examined whether firms that implemented ERP systems have shown performance improvement using a wide variety of performance *** employed the intra-firm comparison and matched pair comparison methods to compare performance measures before and after ERP implementation within a firm over 7-year ***,the results showed that ERP system implementation was positively associated with improvement of firm *** also found that average performance of ERP adopting firms was greater than one of non-ERP adopting *** significant findings suggest that adopting ERP systems may expect better firm performance since they have more future benefits gained from ERP systems.
