The frontline pharmacists during this pandemic COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) situation are potentially contributing to saving human lives worldwide. The objective of this study was to demonstrate the current contributions of pharmacists among the frontline healthcare professionals in the management of the covid-19 crisis across the world. MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Web of Science, and Scopus databases were searched for this study from March 20, 2020 to May 20, 2020. The basic keyword “pharmacist and covid-19” was used to select studies. Relevant English-language studies, guidelines, articles, relevant published reports in different online news portals and official web pages of different organizations were searched. Pharmacists in the United States and United Kingdom are testing patients for covid-19 and providing medical advice to patients. Community pharmacists in European countries are focused on the smooth supply of essential medicines, and working to build awareness regarding the community transmission of covid-19. Hospital and clinical pharmacists are working to facilitate the effective medication therapy management for improving the clinical outcomes of covid-19 patients. Pharmacists in low-and middle-income countries around the world have focused their efforts mainly on awareness-building activities regarding the community transmission of covid-19, and the mass production of alcohol-based hand-sanitizer. Several resources are globally available for pharmacists to improve their competency and self-protection from covid-19. Frontline pharmacists are enthusiastically contributing in the prevention and treatment of covid-19 from a community-to-clinical level worldwide. Corporate Social Responsibility in Health Technology Industry Prior and during the covid-19 pandemic, in Greece

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities have been revealed as an emerging managerial tool and research field. The socioeconomic impact of the covid-19 pandemic has prompted several companies to take on CSR initiatives. The objective of this study was to investigate CSR initiatives implemented in companies specializing in pharmaceutical and biomedical products as well as medical equipment, prior and during the covid-19 pandemic. A cross-sectional study was conducted in companies of the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE), the Panhellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Industry (PEF) and the Association of Health-Research and Biotechnology Industry (SEIV). A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to a total of 112 companies. Descriptive and multivariate statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 25.0. Levels of significance were two-tailed and statistical significance was set at p = 0.05. The final sample consisted of 74 companies with a response rate of 77.7%. Among them 62.2% were multinational and 37.8% national companies. Some companies provided pharmaceuticals (40.5%), medical equipment and biotechnology products (32.4%) and others were specializing in both categories (27.1%). A percentage equal to 89.2% stated that they implemented CSR activities, out of which 75.7% carried out covid-19 related initiatives, such as in public health (37.7%), societal issues (27.2%), environment (19.9%), etc. Approximately 50% increased their CSR activities during the pandemic. Moreover, the majority of companies devoted ≤30% of their total CSR budget against the pandemic. The higher a company’s turnover, the higher CSR activities performance. Pharmaceutical and biomedical companies in Greece implemented CSR actions, prior and during the pandemic. The damage of coronavirus to our Earth is unprecedented that is going to kill the entire human beings. Facing this kind of situation, there are two completely different kinds of viewpoints. According to the philosophy of “Atheists” Karl Max and Friedrich Engels, “there is a Bigging, there must be an End”, meaning our Earth will eventually collide with the other planet and be destroyed completely. According to Holly Bible, however, Jesus, will come down again to bring Godly people to the Heaven and leave the remaining in the coronavirus-hell. During this waiting period, the “Internet Institutes” can provide the most useful knowledge for the other planets.

It is extremely fearful for the pestilences covering our Earth. Does that mean the “World End” is around the corner? For the so-called “Atheists” originally proposed by Karl Max and Friedrich Engels, “there is a Beginning, there must be an End”, meaning our Earth will finally no longer exist in the entire Universe by colliding with the other planet. According to Holly Bible, however, Jesus, will send out his angels to separate the wicked from the righteous and throw the former into the fiery furnace.
