Structural variations (SVs) are mutations with large-scale changes (generally>50 bp) in the genome. SVs are major sources of the genetic diversity of organisms and thus are of high relevance to phenotype variations, gene dosage and evolutionary genetics. Except detecting SVs through comparative genetic analyses, dozens of software had been developed based on the alignment of short-reads to a single linear genome in the past decades (Guan and Sung, 2016).

We examine a simple averaging formula for the gradieni of linear finite elemelitsin Rd whose interpolation order in the Lq-norm is O(h2) for d problems in R2 we derive an interior superconvergencefor the averaged gradient over quasiuniform triangulations. Local error estimatesup to a regular part of the boundary and the effect of numerical integration arealso investigated.

In the paper we are concerned with double S-breaking cubic turning points of two-parameter nonlinear problems in the presence of Z(2)-symmetry. Three extended systems are proposed to determine double S-breaking cubic turning points. We show that there exist two kinds of singular point path passing through double S-breaking cubic turning point, One is the simple quadratic turning point path, the other is the pitchfork bifurcation point path.

Objective:To investigate the relationship between white blood cells,lymphocytes,monocytes, and Interleukin(IL)-1α,IL-6.IL-10 and IL-13 production in Cameroonians with Onchocerca volvulus(O.volvulus) infection.Methods:A lolal of 357 individuals from five sites at Upper Sanga.Lekkie.Nyoug.Kelle and Sanaga Maritime divisions and located along Sanaga valley of Sanaga River in South Cameroon were screened for the presence of O.volvulus using the skin snip.The levels of the interleukins(IL-) namely IL-1α,IL-6,IL-10 and IL-13 were evaluated using enzyme linked immunoabsorbent assay techniques.Haematological parameters were evaluated using standard laboratory automated analyser.Results:O.volvulus microfilariae were found in skin tissues of 85(23.81%) volunteers.The mean interleukin(IL-) levels in the 0,volvulus control and infected individuals were IL-1αin(1.65±0.79 and 2.31±0.5) pg/ml.:IL-6 in(278.36±55.34 and 20l.74±34.56) pg/ml.:IL-10 in(436.03±208.64 and 418.49±I47.88) pg/ml.and IL-13 in(8.98±7.28 and 3S.06±11.92) pg/mL.There was a negative correlation between monocyte counts and IL-10 concentration in positive individuals.A negative correlation of IL-6 with while blood cell and lymphocyte counts was observed(P<0.05).The level of IL-13 was positively associated with microfilaria]load(P<0.05).Conclusions:We observed depressed IL-6 and raised IL-13 concentrations in the sera of individuals with onchocerciasis which implicate these interleukins in the immunological responses of the disease.Therefore,these IL-6 and IL-13 are associated with O.volvulus infection among Cameroonians.

In this paper, we construct the orthogonal wavelet basis in the space of antiperiodic functions by appealing the spline methods. Differing from other results in papers([1,2,3,6,8]), here we derive the 3-scale equation, by using this equation we construct some basic functions, those functions can be used to construct different orthonormal basis in some spline function spaces.

The mung bean trypsin inhibitor has been found to be microheterogeneous at N-terminalregion due to the presence of several isomers. After treatment with aminopeptidase M it becomeshomogeneous and is suitable for sequence determination. Based on the determination of the structures of two active fragments the complete aminoacid sequence of mung bean trypsin inhibitor has been elucidated. It consists of 72 amino acidresidues with 7 pairs of disulfide bonds. The results show that this inhibitor belongs to theBowman-Birk inhibitor family.

We consider solving integral equations of the second kind defined on the half-line [0, infinity) by the preconditioned conjugate gradient method. Convergence is known to be slow due to the non-compactness of the associated integral operator. In this paper, we construct two different circulant integral operators to be used as preconditioners for the method to speed up its convergence rate. We prove that if the given integral operator is close to a convolution-type integral operator, then the preconditioned systems will have spectrum clustered around 1 and hence the preconditioned conjugate gradient method will converge superlinearly. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the fast convergence.
