为了满足地面监控设备将视频数据快速上传至存储设备的需求,解决图像传感器输出pal制信号的模拟解码和数据传输的问题,设计了基于FPGA的pal数据输入、网络接口输出的硬件模块。通过解码器将pal模拟信号转换为并行数字信号,并在FPGA端将输入数据进行奇偶场数据缓存,通过乒乓操作实现隔行转逐行的视频输出。同时在FPGA内部采用调用MAC软核的方式在UDP协议上增加重传机制和异步FIFO,实现数据的网络传输。

Comparison of daily physical activity parameters using objective methods between overweight and normal-weight children

Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to determine if there were any differences in various aspects of physical activity such as energy expenditure, intensity, and type of activity between normal-weight and overweight boys.Methods: Children aged 9—12 years were recruited from 2 elementary schools located in different urban districts in Republic of Korea. The present study included 45 Korean boys, of which 19 were normal-weight and 26 were overweight. Daily physical activity was estimated over the same 1-week study period under free-living conditions using the doubly labeled water(DLW) method and a tri-axial accelerometer. Resting metabolic rate(RMR) was measured using the Douglas bag method and open-circuit indirect calorimetry. We calculated the physical activity level(pal) as the total energy expenditure(TEE)/RMR.Results: pal was not significantly different between the groups. In the accelerometer data, time spent in locomotive moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA) was significantly lower in overweight boys than in normal-weight subjects, whereas other variables including non-locomotive activity did not differ between groups. In addition, among all participants, time spent in total locomotive activity was significantly associated with pal. Time spent in locomotive MVPA was significantly associated with pal.Conclusion: Overweight boys may be less physically active based on locomotive MVPA, which was positively related with pal. Our findings suggest that the contribution of locomotive MVPA to the increase in pal was relatively significant.

Effector proteins delivered inside plant cells are powerful weapons for bacterial pathogens,but this exposes the pathogen to potential recognition by the plant immune system.Therefore,the effector repertoire of a given pathogen must be balanced for a successful infection.Ralstonia solanacearum is an aggressive pathogen with a large repertoire of secreted effectors.One of these effectors,RipE1,is conserved in most R.solanacearum strains sequenced to date.In this work,we found that RipE1 triggers immunity in N.benthamiana,which requires the immune regulator SGT1,but not EDS1 or NRCs.Interestingly,RipE1-triggered immunity induces the accumulation of salicylic acid(SA)and the overexpression of several genes encoding phenylalanine-ammonia lyases(pals),suggesting that the unconventional palmediated pathway is responsible for the observed SA biosynthesis.Surprisingly,RipE1 recognition also induces the expression of jasmonic acid(JA)-responsive genes and JA biosynthesis,suggesting that both SA and JA may act cooperatively in response to RipE1.We further found that RipE1 expression leads to the accumulation of glutathione in plant cells,which precedes the activation of immune responses.R.solanacearum secretes another effector,RipAY,which is known to inhibit immune responses by degrading cellular glutathione.Accordingly,RipAY inhibits RipE1-triggered immune responses.This work shows a strategy employed by R.solanacearum to counteract the perception of its effector proteins by plant immune system.

A digital three-detector positron lifetime spectrometer was developed.It consists of a DRS4 waveform digitizing board and three La Br3scintillation detectors coupled to XP2020Q photomultiplier tubes.DRS4 waveform digitizing allows data sampling at up to 5 GSPS with high amplitude resolution,with good time scale linearity and stability.In the triple-coincidence,the new system could reach a 195 ps time resolution,which is better than the conventional analog apparatus with the same detectors.This spectrometer can be applied to the other scintillation timing measurements with picoseconds accuracy.

PRELIMINARY STUDIES ON A LECTIN ON THE SURFACE OF ADIPOCYTES

A lectin-like component on the surface of porcine adipoeytes was identified, chiefly by means of the cell adhesion and helnagglutination assays. This component, named porcine adipocyte lectin (pal), was isolated with Triton X-100 solubilization followed by affinity chromatography. By SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, two hands of pal stained with Coomassie blue were revealed with the apparent molecular weights of 112,000 and 89,000. Moreover, the glycoprotein nature of pal, was demonstrated by periodic-Schiff reagent staining. pal was able to recognize maltose, mannose and mammal and glycoproteins with analogous sugar structure in the presence of Ca. By the finding that adipocytes in suspension could be aggregated by adding pal, the hypothesis was advanced that pal may be involved in the recognition and adhesion of adipocytes in vivo

Mapping Deciduous Broad-leaved Forested Swamps Using ALOS/palsar Data

Accurate, updated information on the distribution of wetlands is essential for estimating net fluxes of greenhouse gases and for effectively protecting and managing wetlands. Because of their complex community structure and rich surface vegetation, deciduous broad-leaved forested swamps are considered to be one of the most difficult types of wetland to classify. In this research, with the support of remote sensing and geographic information system, multi-temporal radar images L-palsar were used initially to extract the forest hydrological layer and phenology phase change layer as two variables through image analysis. Second, based on the environmental characteristics of forested swamps, three decision tree classifiers derived from the two variables were constructed to explore effective methods to identify deciduous broad-leaved forested swamps. Third, this study focused on analyzing the classification process between flat-forests, which are the most severely disturbed elements, and forested swamps. Finally, the application of the decision tree model will be discussed. The results showed that: 1) L-HH band(a L band with wavelength of 0–235 m in HH polarization mode; HH means Synthetic Aperture Radars transmit pulses in horizontal polarization and receive in horizontal polarization) in the leaf-off season is shown to be capable of detecting hydrologic conditions beneath the forest; 2) the accuracy of the classification(forested swamp and forest plat) was 81.5% based on hydrologic features, and 83.5% was achieved by combining hydrologic features and phenology response features, which indicated that hydrological characteristics under the forest played a key role. The HHOJ(refers to the band created by the subtraction with HH band in October and HH band in July) achieved by multi-temporal radar images did improve the classification accuracy, but not significantly, and more leaf-off radar images may be more efficient than multi-seasonal radar images for inland forested swamp mapping; 3) the lower separability between f

Information on population genetic structure and crop genetic diversity is important for genetically improving crop species and conserving threatened species. The pal gene sequence is part of a multigene family that can be utilized to design DNA marker systems for genetic diversity and population structure investigation. In the current study, genetic diversity and population structure of 100 accessions of wild Pistacia species were investigated with 78 pal markers. A protocol for using pal sequences as DNA markers was developed. A total of 313 pal loci were recognized, showing 100% polymorphism for pal markers. The pal markers produced relatively more observed and effective alleles in Pistacia falcata and Pistacia atlantica, with a higher Shannon＇s information index and expected heterozygosity in P. atlantica, Pistacia vera and Pistacia mutica. Pairwise assessment of Nei＇s genetic distance and genetic identity between populations revealed a close association between geographically iso- lated populations of Pistacia khinjuk and Pistacia chinensis. The accessions of wild Pistacia species had more genetic relationship among studied groups of species. Analysis of molecular variance indicated 19% among- population variation and 81% within-population variation for the pal gene based DNA marker. Population structure analysis based on pal revealed four groups with high genetic admixture among populations. The results establish pal markers as a functional DNA marker system and provide important genetic information about accessions from wild populations of Pistacia species.

Involvement of NO in fungal elicitor-induced activation of pal and stimulation of taxol synthesis in Taxus chinensis suspension cells

Elicitor prepared from the cell walls of Peni-cillium citrinum induces multiple responses of Taxuschinensis cells, including nitric oxide (NO) generation, se-quentially followed by the activation of pal and synthesis oftaxol. NO scavenger cPITO and nitric oxide synthase (NOS)inhibitor PBITU prevent the latter two reactions, all of whichare triggered in the absence of elicitor by NO donor sodiumnitroprusside (SNP). The elicitor-induced NO release ofTaxus chinensis suspension cells is strongly inhibited byPBITU. These results demonstrate a causal relationship be-tween NO generation and the latter two reactions of Taxus chinensis cells to the elicitor, and also indicate that NO, pro-duced via NOS in Taxus chinensis cells treated with fungalelicitor, might act as an essential signaling molecule for trig-gering the activation of pal and synthesis of taxol.
