Background To investigate the optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)characteristics of diabetic macular edema(DME)at different *** This study was a cross-sectional *** diagnosed with DME were *** was classified into early,advanced,and severe *** vessel density(VD)in the superficial vascular plexus(SVP),deep vascular plexus(DVP)and foveal avascular zone(FAZ)parameters,including FAZ area,FAZ perimeter,acircularity index and foveal VD in a 300-μm-wide region around the FAZ(FD-300),were calculated by the AngioVue software.A multivariate generalized estimating equation was used to evaluate the associations between visual acuity and OCTA *** Ninety-two eyes from 74 patients with DME were included in this *** to early(P=0.006)and advanced DME(P=0.003),the acircularity index was higher in severe *** whole and parafoveal VD in the DVP decreased in eyes with severe DME compared to early DME(P=0.018,P=0.005,respectively)and advanced DME(P=0.035,P=0.012,respectively).In the multivariate generalized estimating equation,DME severity,FAZ area and foveal thickness were positively associated with worse visual acuity(P=0.001,P=0.007 and P=0.001,respectively).Conclusion Compared to early and advanced DME,severe DME showed increased irregularity in the FAZ and more extensive vessel damage in the *** severity level of DME,larger FAZ area,and increased foveal thickness could be risk factors for poor visual *** registration The protocol was published in the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry(ChiCTR2000033082).

AIM：To compare the optic disc blood flow of non-arteritic ischemic optic neuropathy（NAION）eyes with normal ***：The optic disc blood flow densities of diagnosed non-acute phase NAION eyes（21 eyes,14 individuals）and normal eyes（19 eyes,12 individuals）were detected via Optovue optical coherence tomography angiography（OCTA）.The optic disc blood flow was measured via Image J *** between optic disc perfusion and visual function variables were assessed by linear regression ***：The average percentage of the optic disc nonperfusion areas in the non-acute phase NAION patients（17.84%±6.18%）was increased,when compared to the normal control eyes（8.61%±1.65%）,and the difference was statistically significant（P〈0.01）.Moreover,there was a proportional correlation between the visual field mean defect（MD）and the optic disc non-perfusion area percentage,and the relationship was statistically significant（t=3.65,P〈0.01,R2=0.4118）.In addition,the critical correlation between the best corrected visual acuity（BCVA）and the optic disc non-perfusion area percentage was statistically significant（t=4.32,P〈0.01,R2=0.4957）.CONCLUSION：The optic disc non-perfusion area percentages detected via OCTA in NAION eyes were significantly increased when compared with the normal *** the BCVA and MD were correlated with the optic disc flow detected,revealing that OCTA may be valuable in the diagnosis and estimation of NAION.

AIM:To evaluate and compare the peripapillary and retinal vasculature changes in primary open angle glaucoma(POAG),pseudoexfoliation glaucoma(PXG),ocular hypertension(OHT)and normal eyes using optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA).METHODS:A total of 114 POAG,PXG and OHT eyes of 60 patients and 46 eyes of 23 healthy control participants with good quality OCTA images were *** PXG,POAG,OHT,and control groups(aged 68.17±6.30 y,61.11±10.26 y,58.1±8.9 y,and 56.9±4.6 y,respectively)contained of 46,36,32,and 46 eyes,*** of vessel density(VD)in the peripapillary region and macula,average retinal inner thickness,and retinal nerve fiber layer thickness(RNFLT)were compared among *** order to test the accuracy of differentiation between eyes with and without glaucoma,the area was calculated under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)***:The VD in glaucomatous eyes was significantly lower than the control group in all peripapillary sectors(44.35%±6.78%vs 50.47%±1.83%,P<0.001),the superficial(44.08%±5.46%vs 51.28%±2.85%,P<0.001)and the deep(45.13%±8.55%vs 54.20%±5.44%,P<0.001)vascular *** was a significant difference in peripapillary VD between glaucomatous and OHT eyes(44.35%±6.78%vs 49.86%±2.45%,P<0.001).The OHT group featured a lower superficial(48.06%±4.32%vs 51.28%±2.85%,P=0.027)and deep plexus(48.70%±5.99%vs 54.20%±5.44%,P=0.013)whole image vessel density(wiVD)than did the control *** average macular superficial plexus wiVD was significantly lower in eyes with PXG than in eyes with POAG(42.22%±5.36%vs 46.54%±5.56%,P=0.046).CONCLUSION:OCTA can measure reduced peripapillary and macular VD in eyes with glaucoma and OHT,and these results are correlated to functional and structural glaucomatous *** and macular superficial plexus VD is lower in eyes with PXG than in eyes with ***,the OHT eyes demonstrate impaired macular vasculature in both superficial and deep plexus.
