opinion dynamics has recently attracted much attention,and there have been a lot of achievements in this *** paper first gives an overview of the development of opinion dynamics on social *** introduce some classical models of opinion dynamics in detail,including the DeGroot model,the Krause model,O-1 models,sign networks and models related to Gossip *** by some real life cases,we choose the unit circle as the range of the individuals'opinion *** prove that the individuals'opinions of the randomized gossip algorithm in which the individuals'opinion values are on the unit circle reaches consensus almost surely.

Dear editor,Over the past decade,"opinion dynamics"of social networks have obtained considerable attention from control theory,sociology,and physics[1–3].One of the most commonly studied models is the Hegselmann-Krause (H-K) model[4],which is boundedly confident,so that each agent only updates his/her opinion by averaging all the opinions of ***,the model has been criticized for a considerable time because limiting behaviour such as weak diversity has been pointed out in[5].

A bounded confidence model of opinion dynamics in multi-group projects is presented in which each group＇s opinion evolution is driven by two types of forces：（i） the group＇s cohesive force which tends to restore the opinion back towards the initial status because of its company culture;and（ii） nonlinear coupling forces with other groups which attempt to bring opinions closer due to collaboration *** analysis for the case of a two-group project shows a cusp catastrophe phenomenon and three distinctive evolutionary regimes,i.e.,a deadlock regime,a convergence regime,and a bifurcation regime in opinion *** critical value of initial discord between the two groups is derived to discriminate which regime the opinion evolution belongs *** the case of a three-group project with a symmetric social network,both bifurcation analysis and simulation results demonstrate that if each pair has a high initial discord,instead of symmetrically converging to consensus with the increase of coupling scale as expected by Gabbay＇s result（Physica A 378（2007） p.125 Fig.5）,project organization（PO） may be split into two distinct clusters because of the symmetry breaking phenomenon caused by pitchfork bifurcations,which urges that apart from divergence in participants＇ interests,nonlinear interaction can also make conflict inevitable in the *** effects of two asymmetric level parameters are tested in order to explore the ways of inducing dominant opinion in the whole *** is found that the strong influence imposed by a leader group with firm faith on the flexible and open minded follower groups can promote the formation of a positive dominant opinion in the PO.

Many realistic social networks share some universal characteristic properties,such as the small-world effects and the heterogeneous distribution of connectivity degree,which affect the dynamics in society system,especially the opinion dynamics in *** see this,we study the opinion dynamics of the Improved Deffuant Model(IDM)in complex *** the two opinions differ by less than the confidence parameterǫ(0opinion moves partly in the direction of the other with the convergence parameterµ,which is a function of the opposite’s degree k;otherwise,the two refuse to discuss and no opinion is *** analyze the evolution of the steady opinion s∗as a function of the confidence parameterǫ,the relation between the minority steady opinion smin∗and the individual connectivity k,and find some interesting results that show the dependence of the opinion dynamics on the confidence parameter and on the system *** study provides a new perspective and tools to understand the effects of complex system topology on opinion dynamics.

Opinion Dynamics in Relative-Opinion-Dependent Networks

This paper investigates the asymptotic behavior of opinion dynamics in relative-opinion-dependent networks,which is motivated by the observation that a social agent tends to accept opinions close to *** is,the interpersonal influence between social agents decreases gradually in their relative *** is interesting that this model can also provide a unified framework to study both the celebrated Degroot model and Deffuant-Weisbuch（DW） *** the social network is connected,we show that the Degroot model with opinion-dependent influence asymptotically reaches *** effect of the relativeopinion on the Friedkin-Johnsen（FJ） model is also illustrated via simulations.

Discrete Opinion Dynamics with Social Bots on Signed Network

Individuals’ opinions are affected by their friends or enemies and the relationship can be abstracted as a signed network. However, the emergence of social bots can bring adverse effect to people on the signed network, like misleading the public opinion. In this paper, in order to study the mechanism by which social bots can influence public opinion, we proposed a opinion dynamics model of signed network to study the how the opinion dynamics evolves based on multi-agent ***, we give the condition when the probabilities of individuals’ selection of opinions will converge in this model. At last, we simulated to show the convergence of our model, and study the effect of different number of social bots and confidence level to the public opinion. The results shows with the increase of the number of social bots, the public opinion is lead out of balance more severely, and as the proportion of social bots reaches 20%, the public opinion of human agents are mislead, and the opinion held by social bots will be the final opinion in the human population. For the population of human agents and social bots, 17% social bots is needed to lead the public opinion. The value of self-confidence has no effect on the final opinion in the signed network, but only whether people are affected by others has influence on the final opinion.

Both opinion dynamics and evolutionary game theory have been receiving considerable attention in the control community in the last decade. In spite of this, they are generally regarded as two different fields and thus have been studied *** is proved in this paper that the voter model on the evolving network in the study of opinion dynamics and the Moran process on the complete network in evolutionary game theory are equivalent both in fixation probability and in limiting behavior, provided that the network evolves much faster than the opinions. These results bridge the gap between opinion dynamics and evolutionary game theory. With the aid of this bridge, we transform the in-group bias opinion dynamics on evolving networks, where individuals are likely to keep a steady relationship with those holding similar opinions, to the coordination game on the complete network;and the out-group bias opinion dynamics to the coexistence game. These equivalence results not only provide game-theoretical insights into opinion formation but also pave the way to understand fundamental concepts in game theory such as payoff and Nash equilibrium in the perspective of opinion dynamics.

In this paper, we investigate the stability analysis of stochastic opinion dynamics in which the agents are interfered by multiplicative noise. We propose a stochastic Altafini model of opinion evolution in signed social networks with multiplicative noise and give the analysis of almost sure exponential stability（ASES）. Compared with the deterministic opinion dynamic and stochastic opinion dynamics in additive noise environments, our results concern the effects of the agents’ free will, i.e.,multiplicative noise, in signed social networks. We establish a sufficient condition with stochastic multiplicative noise which can guarantee the stochastic system is almost sure exponential stability（ASES） when the parameters of the strength of noise is limited by the conditions. Numerical simulations are given to illustrate the above theoretical results.
