In this paper, the water level control problem of U-Tube Steam Generators （UTSG） of Nuclear Power Plants is investigated. A design approach for the piecewise gain-scheduled observer-based H∞ controllers is presented subject to power adjustments via discrete-time linear parameter-varying framework, in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The desired controllers can guarantee asymptotic stability and H∞ performance of the resulting closed-loop systems in each operation region. Detailed design and simulation process are described based on Irving UTSG model. The simulation results demonstrate the novelty and effectiveness of the proposed approaches.

Observer-Based PID Control under an Event-Triggered Protocol

This paper is concerned with the observer-based proportional-integral-derivative（PID） control problem for a class of linear discrete-time systems. An event-triggered communication scheme is employed with hope to reduce the communication burden and save network resources. Such a scheme is based on the relative error with respect to the measurement signal in order to determine whether the measurement output should be transmitted to the observer or not. A novel PID controller is designed where the integral-loop is with limited time-window whose length is adjustable according to engineering practice. The purpose of the problem under investigation is to design an observer-based PID controller such that the closed-loop system is exponentially stable under the event-triggered protocol. A sufficient condition is given for the existence of the desired controller by means of the linear matrix inequality technique combined with the orthogonal decomposition method. Finally, the effectiveness of the developed observer-based PID control strategy is demonstrated in the numerical simulation.

A parametric multiobjective design approach based on a proportional-integral(PI) controller and a full-state observer is proposed for output regulation in a multivariable linear system. First, a complete parametric form of the observer-based PI control law is established, which yields a closed-loop system with the desired eigenstructure and ensures that the regulated output asymptotically tracks a given constant signal in the presence of constant but unknown disturbances. All design degrees of freedom are preserved and characterized using a set of parameter vectors. Second, a separation principle of eigenvalue sensitivities is proven, and based on this result, the parameters of the closed-loop system are comprehensively optimized to reduce the eigenvalue sensitivity and the control gain, and also to enhance the tolerance to time-varying disturbances. Finally, the proposed method is applied to attitude control of a flexible spacecraft. Moreover,numerical simulations based on practical engineering parameters are performed to verify the superiority of the proposed method over traditional proportional-integral-derivative(PID) control methods.

This paper investigates the finite-time H_(∞)control problem for a class of nonlinear discrete-time one-sided Lipschitz systems with *** the one-sided Lipschitz and quadratically inner-bounded conditions,the authors derive less conservative criterion for the controller design and observer design.A new criterion is proposed to ensure the closed-loop system is finite-time bounded(FTB).The sufficient conditions are established to ensure the closed-loop system is H_(∞)finite-time bounded(H_(∞)FTB)in terms of matrix *** controller gains and observer gains are given.A numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.

This paper addresses the problem of observer-based gain-scheduled H control for a class of linear parameter-varying systems with time-varying delay in the state.A new delay-dependent and parameter-dependent H performance criterion is developed with a parameter-dependent Lyapunov *** conditions are presented to design gain-scheduled controllers and state observers to guarantee that the resulting closed-loop system is asymptotically stable with a prescribed H performance level in terms of parameterized linear matrix inequalities.A numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed techniques.

＜正＞ In this note, the problem of observer-based reliable guaranteed cost control for a class of linear neutral delay-differential system with actuator failures is investigated. A more practical and general model of actuator failures is presented. It is shown that the system is asymptotically stable against actuator failures if the correspondent sufficient condition can be satisfied. Moreover, less bounding for cross terms and the reliable control for neutral system can incarnate the value of this paper. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed criteria, and we can also get information that the guaranteed cost will increase with the value of actuator failures from the example.

This paper considers singular fractional-order systems with order 0 ＜ α ＜ 1. Necessary and sufficient condition of designing an observer-based controller for the closed-loop systems to be admissible is obtained. The approach is derived via linear matrix inequalities（LMIs） and two cases for certain and uncertain system are discussed respectively. Meanwhile, we can design a state feedback controller which keeps the system admissible through this ***, two examples for certain and uncertain singular system are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the results respectively. And the state figures are obtained through simulink toolbox to verify the feasibility of the designed observer-based controller.
