Difficulties in probing density dependent symmetry potential with the HBT interferometry

Based on the updated UrQMD transport model,the effect of the symmetry potential energy on the two-nucleon HBT correlation is investigated with the help of the coalescence program for constructing clusters,and the CRAB analyzing program of the two-particle HBT correlation.An obvious nonlinear dependence of the neutron-proton(or neutron-neutron) HBT correlation function(Cnp,nn) at small relative momenta on the stiffness factor γ of the symmetry potential energy is found:when γ 0.8,Cnp,nn increases rapidly with increasing γ,while it starts to saturate if γ 0.8.It is also found that both the symmetry potential energy at low densities and the conditions of constructing clusters at the late stage of the whole process influence the two-nucleon HBT correlation with the same power.

Superposition and entanglement are two theoretical pillars quantum computing rests upon. In the g-qubit theory quantum wave functions are identified by points on the surface of three-dimensional sphere S3. That gives different, more physically feasible explanation of what superposition and entanglement are. The core of quantum computing scheme should be in manipulation and transferring of wave functions on S3 as operators acting on observables and formulated in terms of geometrical algebra. In this way quantum computer will be a kind of analog computer keeping and processing information by sets of objects possessing infinite number of degrees of freedom, contrary to the two value bits or two-dimensional Hilbert space elements, qubits.

An intrinsic property of almost any physical measuring device is that it makes observations which are slightly blurred in time. The authors consider a nudging-based approach for data assimilation that constructs an approximate solution based on a feedback control mechanism that is designed to account for observations that have been blurred by a moving time average. Analysis of this nudging model in the context of the subcritical surface quasi-geostrophic equation shows, provided the time-averaging window is sufficiently small and the resolution of the observations sufficiently fine, that the approximating solution converges exponentially fast to the observed solution over time. In particular,the authors demonstrate that observational data with a small blur in time possess no significant obstructions to data assimilation provided that the nudging properly takes the time averaging into account. Two key ingredients in our analysis are additional boundedness properties for the relevant interpolant observation operators and a non-local Gronwall inequality.

The Geometric Algebra formalism opens the door to developing a theory replacing conventional quantum mechanics. Generalizations, stemming from changing of complex numbers by geometrically feasible objects in three dimensions, followed by unambiguous definition of states, observables, measurements, bring into reality clear explanations of weird quantum mechanical features, for example primitively considering atoms as a kind of solar system. The three-sphere S3 becomes the playground of the torsion kind states eliminating abstract Hilbert space vectors. The S3 points evolve, governed by updated Schrodinger equation, and act in measurements on observable as operators.

To study the nuclear symmetry energy at supra-saturation densities, one generally considers that the observables probe the symmetry energy in the density region of maximal compression. Since the compression of nucleus-nucleus collision is a dynamical process, this point of view is not fully correct due to the effect of the symmetry energy at low densities. To answer which density region that some frequently used symmetry-energy-sensitive observables such as free n/p ratio or π?/π+ ratio probe, we made a study of decomposition of the sensitivity of these symmetryenergy- sensitive observables.
