At present, advanced researches of optical fiber intrusion measurement are based on the constant false alarm rate （CFAR） algorithm. Although these conventional methods overcome the interference of non-stationary random signals, there are still a large number of false alarms in practical applications. This is because there is no specific study on orthogonal polarization signals of false alarm and intrusion. In order to further reduce false alarms, we analyze the correlation of optical fiber signals using birefringence of single-mode fiber. This paper proposes the harmful intrusion detection algorithm based on the correlation of two orthogonal polarization signals. The proposed method uses correlation coefficient to distinguish false alarms and intrusions, which can decrease false alarms. Experiments on real data, which are collected from the practical environment, demonstrate that the difference in correlation is a robust feature. Furthermore, the results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce the false alarms and ensure the detection performance when it is used in optical fiber pre-warning system （OFPS）.

The separated silicon-vacancy(SiV)photoluminescent diamond particles were synthesized on a silica optical fiber by hot filament chemical vapor deposition(HFCVD).The effects of the pre-treated method and chamber pressure on the microstructure and photoluminescence of the diamond particles were *** results show that the diamond particles are homogeneously distributed on the surface of the optical *** the chamber pressure increasing from 1.6 kPa to 3.5 kPa,the shape of the particles transforms from flake to circle,while the diamond particles cannot be deposited on the fiber with the pressure further increased to 4.5 *** samples synthesized under 2.5 kPa chamber pressure are composed of diamond particles with size around 200-400 nm,exhibiting stronger SiV photoluminescence with the width of around 6 nm.

The interface and quality of TiO_2 coated optical fiber,which is obtained by dipping nude fibers into TiO_2 slurry,were investigated. The coating processes were carried out under different designed conditions,including various adhesives,solid content of TiO_2 slurry,times of cladding and followed heat-treat temperature. The interface and coating qualities were observed by scanning electron microscope. Coating defects,such as cracking,breaking off and the inhomogeneity of the cladding corresponds to different coating condition were analyzed. As a result, a well-combined and durable TiO_2 coating in optical fiber surface was obtained under definite optimizing experimental conditions and parameters.

This paper proposes a scheme for transferring an N-atom state between two distant cavities via an optical fiber. The scheme is based on adiabatic passage along a dark state. In the scheme, all the atoms are always in ground state, the field mode of the fiber remains in vacuum state, and the field mode of the cavities being excited can be negligible under certain conditions. Therefore, the scheme is very robust against decoherence. The successful probability of implementing the quantum state transfer increases with increasing number of atoms. Furthermore, the interaction time does not need to be accurately adjusted as long as the adiabaticity condition is fulfilled.

An intrinsic Fabry-Perot cavity consisted Of different reflective mirrors is used in fiber-optical sensors for measuring the strain. The character of the unsymmetrical fiber-optical Fabry-Perot- cavity and fiber-optic longitudinal stress-strain effect is analysed. The general theory and measurement method of strain are presented. A low fineness Fabry-Perot cavity is used to improve the linearity of optical fiber strain sensors. The result of experiment agrees well with the theory.
