Efficient p-i-n structured perovskite solar cells employing low-cost and highly reproducible oligomers as hole transporting materials

The development of p-i-n structured perovskite solar cells(PSCs) requires more extensive explorations on seeking efficient, low cost and stable hole transporting materials(HTMs). Small molecular HTMs are superior to polymeric ones in terms of synthetic reproducibility as well as purity. However, thin films composed of small molecules are usually labile during the solution-based perovskite deposition. Herein, we propose a molecular engineering strategy of incorporating oligothiophene as conjugation bridge to develop robust oligomer HTMs for p-i-n type PSCs. Upon increasing the oligothiophene chain length from α-bithiophene to α-quaterthiophene and α-hexathiophene, their HOMO energy levels remain unchanged, but their solubility in common organic solvents decreased remarkably, thus greatly enhancing their tolerance to the perovskite deposition. The rational design of oligothiophene chain length can effectively tune their optoelectronic properties as well as thin film stability under polar solvent soaking. The best performance is achieved by an α-quaterthiophene based HTM(QT), showing a high efficiency of 17.69% with fill factor of 0.81, which are comparable to those of a commercially available benchmark polymer HTM(poly[bis(4-phenyl)(2,4-dimethylphenyl) amine], PTAA) based devices fabricated under the same conditions. Our developed oligomer system not only provides the definite molecular structures like small molecule-type HTMs, but also exhibits the excellent filmforming like polymer-type HTMs, thus achieving the well-balanced parameters among solvent tolerance, thin film conductivity,and interfacial charge transfer efficiency, especially building up a platform to develop low cost and reproducible efficient HTMs in p-i-n structured perovskite solar cells.

Donor-Acceptor oligomers and Polymers Composed of Benzothiadiazole and 3-Hexylthiophene： Effect of Chain Length and Regioregularity

A series of donor-acceptor oligomer OBTThn （n = 1- 7） and polymer PBTThl and PBTTh2 composed of al- ternative 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole and 3-hexylthiophene have been designed and synthesized for the purpose of in- vestigation on the effect of chain length and side-chain regioregularity on their basic properties and photovoltaic performance. In the OBTThn oligomers and PBTThl polymer, all the hexyl side chains on thienyl units orient to- ward the same direction. Upon elongation of the chain length, the intramolecular charge transfer （ICT） absorption band in solution gradually redshifts from 398 nm for OBTThl to 505 nm for OBTThT, then to 512 nm for PBTThl polymer. Meanwhile, the HOMO energy level increases from -5.45 eV （OBTTh0 to -5.08 eV （OBTThT） and -5.09 eV （PBTThl）, and the LUMO energy level decreases from -3.11 eV （OBTTh0 to -3.30 eV （OBTThT） and -3.33 eV （PBTThl）, thus giving a smaller and smaller energy bandgap for higher oligomers and polymers. Theo- retical calculation suggests straight line-like backbone geometry for this series of oligomers and polymer. On the other hand, polymer PBTTh2 possesses a different side-chain regioregularity, in which every two neighbor hexyl side chains are arranged in different orienting direction. It is theoretically suggested to have curved line-like back- bone geometry. In solution, it shows similar photophysical and electrochemical properties as PBTThl. However in film state, it displays a less redshift in the ICT band as refer to that in solution than PBTThl. In combination with [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester （PC61BM）, these oligomers and polymers were used as donor material to fabricate organic bulk heterojunction solar cells. Again, chain length-dependent device photovoltaic performance was observed. The device based on OBTTh4 showed a power conversion efficiency of 0.16%, while it increased to 0.36% and 0.49% for the devices based on OBTTh6 and PBTThb respectively. A Comparative Study of Electrochemical Capacitance of Graphene Oxide Affected by oligomers of p-phenylenediamine and Hydrazine Hydrate in Solvothermal Condition

A systematic investigation of the graphene oxide composite reduced by either p-phenylenediamine oligomers or hydrazine hydrate was performed with field emission scanning electron microscopy,high resolution transmission electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,fourier transform infrared,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy *** electrical capacitance of the composite was evaluated by a cyclic voltammetry technique,while the properties of these prototype supercapacitors were measured by a chronopotentiometry *** was found that,under the solvothermal condition,the graphene oxide reduced by p-phenylenediamine oligomers was observed to have higher electrical capacitance than that reduced by *** improved electrical capacitance can be attributed to that p-phenylenediamine oligomers are the more effective spacers for graphene layers;and they could also provide some pseudo-capacitance to the graphene oxide composite based on their conjugate *** results imply that graphene oxide modified by diamine oligomers has a good potential in energy storage devices.

Amyloid peptides are renowned to be related to neurodegenerative diseases, however, a fruitful avenue is to employ them as high-performance nanomaterials. These materials benefit from the intrinsic outstanding mechanical robustness of the amyloid backbone made of r-strands. In this work, we exploited amyloid-like fibrils as functional material to attach pristine L-cysteine aggregates （cystine oligomers） and gold nanoparticles, without the need of templating compounds. This work will open new avenues on functional materials design and their realisation.

Hexafluoropropylene oxide（HFPO） oligomers are toxic,bioaccumulative,and persistent organic pollutants（POPs）.Consuming the harmful chemicals to prevent them from releasing to nature is of serious significance as far as both natural environments and human health are *** this study,investigation on degradation of HFPO oligomers to pentafluoropropionyl fluoride（PPF）,a valuable industrial chemical,is *** combinations of alkali metal fluoride in either diglyme or tetraglyme under both flask and batch autoclave conditions were *** the optimal reaction conditions,HFPO oligomers（n = 2-10） were completely degraded to PPF in over 90%*** on200 g scale were tested and no deduction of efficiency was observed,which indicates the potential for practical industrial application of this chemistry.

Optically active binaphthyl units have been introduced onto the periphery of the phthalocyanine chormophores in the phthalocyanine-porphyrin-fused oligomers,resulting in the first（R）-and（S）-enantiomers of Pc-Por-fused dimer and trimer with induced chirality *** represents the largest chiral tetrapyrrole-based conjugated system,to the best of our *** absorption,MCD,and CD spectroscopic results in combination with theoretical calculations disclose the effective transfer of the chiral information from the binaphthyl groups to both the central tetrapyrrole-fused chromophores,indicating the effective delocalization of the π-electron density over the fused systems due to the effective electronic communication between/among the tetrapyrrole chromophores.

报道了用变性聚丙烯酰胺凝胶电泳-银染法和增强Raman光谱研究Ce离子水解断裂26个碱基的单链oligomers DNA的实验结果. Ce3+离子需要有氧气存在的条件下, 氧化生成Ce4+离子后才能切断oligomers DNA. 系统研究了各种条件下Ce4+离子对oligomers DNA的切断反应, 在酸性、碱性条件下都能水解切断oligomers DNA, 在近中性时切断作用最强. 反应温度的升高、反应时间的延长以及Ce4+离子浓度的增大都有利于该切断反应. 由增强Raman光谱的研究可推断Ce4+离子可以水解断裂oligomers DNA中5′位和3′位的磷酸二酯键并提出了反应机理.
