An innovated method of piecewise performed principal analysis（PCA） is proposed to monitor a nonlinear system in this *** analyzing the highest concerned variable and critical influence variables distribution through the collected data,we separate the variable space into smaller sections and perform PCA for each section to derive the PCA *** process is momtored by applying the new data to the model for the section in which the data *** demonstrate the performance,the method is applied for the monitoring of single steam pipe in a steam pipe network of an iron＆ steel *** simulation result shows the proposed method is effective and sensitive to the faults.

A dynamic frequency-based parameter identification approach is applied for the nonlinear system with periodic *** from the energy equation,the presented method uses a dynamic frequency to precisely obtain the analytical limit cycle expression of nonlinear system and utilizes it as the mathematic foundation for parameter *** from the time-domain approaches,the strategy of using limit cycle to describe the system response is unaffected by the influence of phase *** analytical expression is fitted with the value sets from phase coordinates measured in periodic oscillation of the nonlinear systems,and the unknown parameters are identified with the interior-reflective Newton *** the performance of this identification methodology is verified by an oscillator with nonlinear stiffness and ***,numerical simulations under noisy environment also verify the efficiency and robustness of the identification ***,we apply this parameter identification method to the modeling of a large-amplitude energy harvester,to improve the accuracy of mechanical *** surprisingly,good agreement is achieved between the experimental data and identified *** also verifies that the proposed approach is less time-consuming and more accuracy in identification procedure.

This paper presents the design of sliding mode controller for the output regulation of single input single output （SISO） nonlinear systems. The sliding surfaces are designed to force the error dynamics to follow proportional （P）, proportional integral （PI） and proportional integral derivative （PID） dynamics. The controller parameters are obtained using probabilistic particle swarm optimization technique. A judicious selection of various sliding surfaces based on the relative degree of the systems is also elaborated. A detailed comparison of the output regulation for various systems with different relative degree is presented. Numerical simulation shows the effectiveness of the proposed method and robustness of the sliding mode controller.

The m ethod is based on nonlinear opti- m alpredictive control. According to the im m easurable states, the variable structure observer for nonlin- ear system sisadapted. The variablestructure system m ethod isaptto therealization ofobserverw ith variable param eters and uncertainty. The proofshow s thatthe states ofthe observer asym ptotically convergence to the realstates ofthe system although itisofuncertainty and nonlinear term s. Final- ly, the digitalsim ulation results prove the effectiveness ofthe proposed m ethod.

This paper presents an adaptive particle filter （APF） for estimating the states of the nonlinear system with unknown parameters. To implement this algorithm, the process noise covariance is adjusted according to the innovation-based adaptive estimation （IAE） approach, which only takes advantage of one state model without the requirement of knowing the parameters. In addition, the Maximum-A-Posterior （MAP） method is used to estimate the parameters to improving the performance of APF. Therefore, the APF can modify the prior distribution of the particles, and then alleviate the sample degeneracy problem which is common in particle filter （PF）. Numerical simulations of Logistic map are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method.

Zhang dynamics （ZD）, which is based on an indefinite error-monitoring function called Zhangian, is a powerful type of dynamics for online time-varying problems solving. Besides, gradient dynamics （GD）, which was originally designed to solve constant problems, can be generalized for online time-varying problems solving. In this paper, the tracking-control problem of a general nonlinear system with fully trackable and partially trackable paths is presented and investigated. Then, by combining ZD and the generalized GD, an innovative method called ZD-GD method is proposed to solve this tracking-control problem. Simulation results on the nonlinear system further substantiate the feasibility and superiority of the combined ZD-GD method for both fully trackable and partially trackable paths.

A compound neural network was constructed during the process of identification and multi-step prediction. Under the PID-type long-range predictive cost function, the control signal was calculated based on gradient algorithm. The nonlinear controller’s structure was similar to the conventional PID controller. The parameters of this controller were tuned by using a local recurrent neural network on-line. The controller has a better effect than the conventional PID controller. Simulation study shows the effectiveness and good performance.
