This paper describes a study of the effects of graphite nodule characteristics on a subsurface crack in austempered ductile iron(ADI).A representative specimen of ADI,subjected to sliding contact load,is modeled using finite elements aiming to obtain the shear stress intensity factor(KII).The parameters varied were(i)the nodule diameter(two different values were considered),(ii)the distance between the nodule and the tip of the crack and(iii)the position of the load relative to the tip of the *** results of the numerical simulations show that the smaller diameter nodule has a larger influence on KII,suggesting a higher contact fatigue crack propagation rate in the material with the smaller *** results are the opposite of those observed in experimental studies and would appear to indicate that other factors should be also considered to ensure realistic estimates of the contact fatigue strength of ADI.

To make sure that the nodule collector can walk on the soft sediments of seafloor effectively, suspension principle of deep-ocean nodule collector is proposed. The supporting and driving mechanisms are separated to avoid collector sinking. The supporting mechanism is a streamlined body with large and smooth supporting area. The grounding pressure is reduced to 0.5- 1 N/cm2 to make sure that the sinkage is limited. The impellers serve as the driving mechanism to supply enough driving power. The position between the supporting mechanism and the driving mechanism can be adjusted according to the operating condition to decrease the walking resistance and to increase driving efficiency. The test results indicate that the collector can walk on the surface of the soft sediments with the limited sinkage. The traction forces were up to 800 kg and the sinkage of the impeller was under the limitation.

Maize(Zea mays L.)-soybean(Glycine max ***.)relay intercropping provides a way to enhance land ***,the late-planted soybean suffers from shading by the *** maize harvest,how the recovery growth influences the leaf and nodule traits remains unclear.A three-year field experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of genotypes,i.e.,supernodulating(nts1007),Nandou 12(ND12),and Guixia 3(GX3),and crop configurations,i.e.,the interspecific row spacing of 45(I45),60(I60),75 cm(I75),and sole soybean(SS),on soybean recovery growth and N *** results showed that intercropping reduced the soybean total leaf area(LA)by reducing both the leaf number(LN)and unit leaflet area(LUA),and it reduced the nodule dry weight(NW)by reducing both the nodule number(NN)and nodule diameter(ND)compared with the *** correlation and principal component analysis(PCA)indicated a co-variability of the leaf and nodule traits in response to the genotype and crop configuration *** the recovery growth stages,the compensatory growth promoted soybean growth to reduce the gaps of leaf and nodule traits between intercropping and *** relative growth rates of ureide(RGR_U)and nitrogen(RGR_N)accumulation were higher in intercropping than in *** achieved more significant sucrose and starch contents compared with ***12 and GX3 showed more robust compensatory growth than nts1007 in *** the recovery growth of relay intercropping soybean improved biomass and nitrogen accumulation,ND12 gained a more significant partial land equivalent ratio(pLER)than *** I60 treatment achieved more robust compensation effects on biomass and N accumulation than the other ***,I60 showed a higher nodule sucrose content and greater shoot ureide and N accumulation than ***,intercropping ND12 with maize using an interspecific row spacing of 60 cm was optimal for both yield advantage and N accumulation.

Lung medical image retrieval based on content similarity plays an important role in computer-aided diagnosis of lung *** recent years,binary hashing has become a hot topic in this field due to its compressed storage and fast query *** hashing methods often rely on highdimensional features based hand-crafted methods,which might not be optimally compatible with lung nodule ***,different hashing bits contribute to the image retrieval differently,and therefore treating the hashing bits equally affects the retrieval ***,an image retrieval method of lung nodule images is proposed with the basis on convolutional neural networks and ***,apre-trained and fine-tuned convolutional neural network is employed to learn multilevel semantic features of the lung *** components analysis is utilized to remove redundant information and preserve informative semantic features of the lung ***,the proposed method relies on nine sign labels of lung nodules for the training set,and the semantic feature is combined to construct hashing ***,returned lung nodule images can be easily ranked with the query-adaptive search method based on weighted Hamming *** experiments and evaluations on the dataset demonstrate that the proposed method can significantly improve the expression ability of lung nodule images,which further validates the effectiveness of the proposed method.
