According to the disease module hypothesis,the cellular components associated with a disease segregate in the same neighborhood of the human interactome,the map of biologically relevant molecular ***,given the incompleteness of the interactome and the limited knowledge of disease-associated genes,it is not obvious if the available data have sufficient coverage to map out modules associated with each disease.

INFORMATION IDENTIFICATION IN DIFFERENT networks.WITH HETEROGENEOUS INFORMATION SOURCES

Traditional cheaptalk game model with homogeneous information sources provided a con clusion that dishonest information sources will not be identified if he changes strategy stochastically. In this paper, the authors incorporate different information diffusion networks.and heterogeneous in formation sources into an agentbased artificial stock market. The obtained results are different with traditional results that identification ability of uninformed agents has been highly improved with diffu sion networks.and heterogeneous information sources. Additionally, the authors find uninformed agents can improve identification ability only if there exists a sufficient number of heterogeneous information sources in stock market.

Fuzzy logic systems are equivalent to feedforward neural networks

Fuzzy logic systems and feedforward neural networks.are equivalent in essence. First, interpolation representations of fuzzy logic systems are introduced and several important conclusions are given. Then three important kinds of neural networks.are defined, i.e. linear neural networks. rectangle wave neural networks.and nonlinear neural networks. Then it is proved that nonlinear neural networks.can be represented by rectangle wave neural networks. Based on the results mentioned above, the equivalence between fuzzy logic systems and feedforward neural networks.is proved, which will be very useful for theoretical research or applications on fuzzy logic systems or neural networks.by means of combining fuzzy logic systems with neural networks.

Output-back fuzzy logic systems and equivalence with feedback neural networks

A new idea, output-back fuzzy logic systems, is proposed. It is proved that output-back fuzzy logic systems must be equivalent to feedback neural networks. After the notion of generalized fuzzy logic systems is defined, which contains at least a typical fuzzy logic system and an output-back fuzzy logic system, one important conclusion is drawn that generalized fuzzy logic systems are almost equivalent to neural networks.

TUNED MECHANICAL PROPERTIES ACHIEVED BY VARYING POLYMER STRUCTURE-KNOWLEDGE THAT GENERATES NEW MATERIALS FOR TISSUE ENGINEERING

By changing both the monomer composition and the polymer structure, we have varied the mechanical properties of resorbable polymers. The polymers were synthesized by ring-opening polymerization using L-lactide （LLA）, ε-caprolactone （εCL）, trimethylene carbonate （TMC） and 1,5-dioxepan-2-one （DXO） as monomers. Well-defined triblock copolymers, microblock copolymers and networks.have been evaluated, and comparisons between them show that it is possible to tune the mechanical properties. Triblock copolymers with an amorphous middle block of poly（1,5-dioxepan-2- one）（PDXO） and semi-crystalline end-blocks of poly（ε-caprolactone）（PCL） were stronger and had a higher strain at break than triblock copolymers with poly（L-lactide）（PLLA） as end-blocks. Polymers with both DXO and TMC in the amorphous middle-block and PLLA as end-blocks showed a lower stress at break, but the material gained elasticity, a property which is very valuable in tissue engineering. Mechanical properties of networks. synthesized by a novel method, containing PDXO and PCL are also presented. Although it is difficult to compare them with the uncross-linked polymers, this is an additional way to modify and widen the properties.

Target Tracking with QoS Support in Large Wireless Sensor networks

Quality of Service (QoS) is important in the application of target tracking in wireless sensor networks.(WSNs). When a target appears, it will trigger an event from one or more sensors. A target can only be accurately detected if a certain number of event packets are received by the sink in a predetermined detection time interval. In this paper, we propose a buffer management scheme based on event ordering to achieve QoS. We also propose a directional QoS-aware routing protocol (DQRP) for the dissemination of the event ordering list. After the dissemination, a priority queue buffer management scheme is used to ensure QoS. Our buffer management scheme works in conjunction with DQRP to ensure accurate as well as energy-efficient target detection in the presence of multiple targets. The novelty of our network architecture is that a distributed admission control scheme is implemented on each node based on a geographic routing algorithm. In our scenario, a target can only be accurately detected if a certain number of event packets are received by the sink in a predetermined detection time interval. Our main performance metric is the number of targets/events being detected. Our protocol maximizes the number of targets being detected.

In the post-genomic era, the construction and control of genetic regulatory networks.using gene expression data is a hot research topic. Boolean networks.(BNs) and its extension Probabilistic Boolean networks.(PBNs) have been served as an effective tool for this purpose. However, PBNs are difficult to be used in practice when the number of genes is large because of the huge computational cost. In this paper, we propose a simplified multivariate Markov model for approximating a PBN The new model can preserve the strength of PBNs, the ability to capture the inter-dependence of the genes in the network, qnd at the same time reduce the complexity of the network and therefore the computational cost. We then present an optimal control model with hard constraints for the purpose of control/intervention of a genetic regulatory network. Numerical experimental examples based on the yeast data are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed model and control policy.
