A new carrier tracking algorithm is proposed to deal with the composite carrier navigation signal. As the correlation between the phases of the sub-carriers, the algorithm uses a least squares （LS） algorithm to estimate the phase of the sub-carriers. An simulation and comparison were made between the common one carrier GPS navigation signals and the composite carrier signal with four sub-carriers under the same total power. It is revealed that the composite carrier has the same tracking performance with the common one carrier navigation signal, but the tracking accuracy is better than the common one carrier GPS navigation signal in the low SNR, which prove that the complex carrier navigation signal structure is feasible.

In the process of analog modulation, carrier leakage will be possible if the carrier of orthogonal modulator leak to its output, with additional carrier appear at carrier frequency. What’s more, transmitter filters and power amplifier saturation may lead to spectral asymmetry. To further study the impact of these distortions on navigation signals performance, this paper begins to introduce the mechanism of carrier leakage and spectral asymmetry. Then based on a new Matlab platform and mathematical models, the impact of these distortions on signal performance is comprehensively demonstrated from different aspects from SNR （signal-Noise-Ratio）, acquisition and tracing, to ranging accuracy, etc,. Results show that low degree of carrier leakage and spectral asymmetry won’t significantly affect signal performance, but when it deteriorates to a certain degree, the performance of navigation signals would exponentially decline. Those results and data we have obtained from this paper can also be used as a valuable reference for signal-on-board-generation designers in the process of signal design and optimization.

navigation message is one of the important components of satellite navigation signals, its design will not only influence the system’s performances including timeliness, integrality, flexibility, reliability and extendibility, but also user’s use‐cost. Different from other GNSS systems, the BDS system broadcasts not only the basic navigation messages but also augmentation messages including difference and integrity data. In this paper, the design project of BDS wide area augmentation navigation message is analyzed. And the design contents include message parameters, frame structure, data rate, message arranging format and broadcasting orders. On the basic of the designing, the augmentation navigation message’s performances are evaluated. And the evaluation parameters include communication efficiency, parameters’ expressing performances, broadcasting frequency, demodulation performance and signal detection performance. The conclusions can offer theory and engineering guidance for satellite navigation message design, and can apply in the design of BDS system’s wide area augmentation navigation message directly.

With the development of satellite navigation technology,the users’demands for the integrity of GNSS are more and more *** ground based monitoring system can hardly report an alarm message to the GNSS users during the valid alarming period due to the satellite-earth propagation *** is beneficial to monitor the abnormal events and report the corresponding alarms in *** this way,which is an important branch of the future GNSS integrity monitoring,the time needed to give an alarm is shorter and the capability of system integrity service is strengthened.A new generation of BDS satellites has the capable of satellite autonomous integrity monitoring(SAIM).This paper presents the technology scheme of SAIM,and proposes the integrity monitoring method of navigation signals and clock *** proposed method is verified based on the onboard test of the IGSO *** addition,we analyze the integrity telemetry data from the new generation of BDS satellite,including the signal delay,power,carrier phase measurement,correlation peak,consistency of pseudo-code and carrier phase,clock phase and frequency *** analysis results indicate that the quality of the data on orbit meets the requirements,and SAIM could monitor effectively the abnormal change of satellite clock and navigation signal,generate rapidly the alarm message,and transmit them to *** alarm time is less than 6 seconds through the message,and 2 seconds through the non-standard code(NSC).In the end,we present the future work for improving the SAIM technology of BDS.

This paper uses a receiver with coherent Early-Late Processing to analyze code tracking accuracy theoretically. The paper also simulates the code tracking accuracy with different interference signals, including white Gauss noise, carrier wave interference, matching-spectrum interference. The result shows that , for any one of the navigation signals, the decrease of the power of interference signals, just have limited influence on the code tracking accuracy.

At present, most satellite navigation systems use constant envelope multiplexed signals, in order to reduce the non-linear influence of the power amplifier as much as possible. However, the actual signal transmission channel cannot be purely ideal. Various amplitude-frequency or phase-frequency distortions that may occur will affect the signal envelope characteristics and ranging performance, resulting in a certain difference between the actual signal received by the user and its theoretical design. Research has shown that the performance of the constant envelope signal after passing through the non-ideal channel may not be better than the corresponding non-constant envelope signal. In order to fully understand the specific effects of various non-ideal characteristics of the channel on the non-constant envelope signal and to judge under which non-ideal characteristics the non-constant envelope signal can show better performance, so as to provide new ideas for the design of navigation signals. This article first studies the non-ideal characteristics of the satellite signal transmission channel and establishes five channel distortion models. The BDS-3 B1 constant envelope and nonconstant envelope simulation ideal signals are used as the research signals of this article, use the software receiver to evaluate the signal quality of the ideal signal after the distortion model, and use the evaluation index S-curve zero-crossing deviation to express the signal’s ranging performance. Finally, the quantitative analysis and comparison of the ranging performance of different envelope signalsunder the influence of various distortions are realized. The results show that: Inaddition to amplitude ripple distortion, non-constant envelope signals show better ranging performance overall under the same distortion conditions. The research results of this paper have certain reference value for signal design and signal quality evaluation.
