Extra-Oral Digital Panoramic Radiographic Interpretation and Clinical Findings of Stage IV Periodontitis among Some Samples Concerning Saudi/Non-Saudi nationality

Background: There are associations between the severity of periodontal diseases and some predisposing factors, such as age, race, and income rate. Therefore, the present study was designed to evaluate the extra-oral digital panoramic radiographic interpretation and clinical findings of stage IV periodontitis among some samples concerning Saudi/non-Saudi nationality. Material and Methods: The study comprised a random sample of 298 residents in Saudi Arabia referred to the internship program clinics at the College of Dentistry, King Khalid University. They were according to the age of participants as follows: youth (15 - 24 years), adults (25 - 64 years), and seniors (65 years and over) within two groups according to nationality (Saudi and non-Saudi). Clinical periodontal examination and radiographic extra oral digital panoramic radiographs were done, and then the periodontal parameters, the percentage of bone loss, and the pattern of bone loss were recorded. The data was collected, and the statistical analysis was performed with ANOVA test, Tukey’s test, Chi-square test, and T-test and considered a P-value at (p Results: The samples included 62 (20%) youth participants with mean of age (21.806 ± 3.390), 182 (57%) adults’ participants with mean age (42.802 ± 9.094), and 54 (23%) seniors participants with a mean age (69.074 ± 6.810). There were highly statistically significant differences in the comparison between the participants’ ages (P 0.05). Conclusion: At the end of this study, we concluded that there are alterations in clinical and radiographic and clinical findings of stage IV periodontitis with the alteration of participants’ ages and nationality.

Correlation between haplotype of apolipoprotein B gene and natural longevity persons in Uygur nationality

CAMS&PUMC, Beijing 100005, China; 3 Medical Genetic Laboratory, Institute of Basic Medical Science, CAMS&PUMC, Kunming 650118, ChinaThis paper investigated the correlation between polymorphisms and haplotypes in the apolipoprotein B (apoB) gene (SP-I/D, XbaI-RFLP, VNTR) and natural longevity persons among the Uygur people in Xin-jiang. For this purpose, 191 healthy Uygur individuals aged above 90 from Hetian area of Xinjiang were recruited, and another 53 persons aged 65—70 from the same nationality, the same region and with the same gender ratio, served as the control group. Genotyping was performed by PCR-SSP, PCR-RFLP and PCR-sequencing methods. Logistic regression analyses revealed that the frequencies of X+X+ genotype, M and L alleles and the genetypes composed of M and L were significantly higher in the longevity group than in the control group. In haplotype analyses, we found that, in the long-lived people, the frequency of haplotypes composed of the X+ and M alleles was significantly higher whereas the frequency of haplotypes composed of the X- and S alleles was significantly lower (both P<0.05) I than those of their controls. These results indicated that the S allele, SS genotype and X+-S, D-S, D-X+-S haplotypes were the possible adverse factors, whereas the M, L alleles, X+X+, MM, ML, LL genotypes and I-X+-M, X+-M haplotypes were the possibe protective factors for the naturally long-lived Uygur people in China.

Ecological Concepts in Traditional Vernacular Dwellings of Miao nationality in Southeast Guizhou Province

Traditional vernacular dwellings of Miao nationality in southeast Guizhou Province are reasonable and scientific in many aspects, such as site selection, construction, structure, direction, room layout, harmony between constructions and environment, moderate development of natural resources and so on, which demonstrate the ecological concepts of Miao people respecting the Nature, pursuing the harmonious coexistence between human beings and Nature. This study analyzed the gist of Miao people constructing vernacular dwellings, i.e. natural and harmonious ecological concepts, the principle of planning according to actual conditions, saving cost by utilizing local materials and sustainably developing architectural structure.

Survey on Settlement Forms of Ethnic Groups in Mountainous Regions—A Case Study of Ancient Village of Gelao nationality in Wuchuan

Taking ancient village of Gelao nationality in Wuchuan for example,theories of settlement geography were used to analyze settlement landscapes of ethnic groups with cultural peculiarity in certain regions from the perspectives of geographical and humanistic environment,distribution form,internal structure and settlement characteristics. Regional and national cultural characteristics were demonstrated to promote the inheritance,promotion and protection of such old and traditional civilization in terms of landscape,and provide valuable references for relevant researches.

Evolution pattern of folk dwellings of the Dai nationality in Guanchun Village,Dehong Prefecture,Yunnan Province is discussed in this study,and Field Study of the anthropology is applied to study family structure and use of residential spaces in this *** study shows that structure of traditional residence is changing,traditional buildings cannot meet demands of modern life due to the changing lifestyle;it is a trend that traditional building materials like brick and wood are to be substituted by new *** implies that useful elements of traditional living styles and construction patterns should be refined in the update of folk dwellings in the village ofminorities,and combined with modern building materials and techniques to satisfy the demands of modern life.

Research on Community Cultural Characteristic of She nationality in East Fujian Province and Its Response to Geological Space

With the concept that culture was the product of certain natural environment and social condition, as there were less researches on response of community culture of She nationality to geological space and on influence of geological space on She community culture, the study took community culture of She nationality in East Fujian as the research subject, and analyzed distribution of She nationality. By taking relevant documents on She nationality of East Fujian Province for reference, through analysis of characteristic culture and geopolitical background of She community, it was considered that characteristic culture lied in united and friendly community culture, rough and practical sports culture, ancient medicine culture, food culture of mountainous feature and architectural culture. Furthermore, it analyzed response of She community culture to geological space from the perspectives of regional space, geological environment and climate; and pointed out the far-reaching influence of geological space on She community culture.

Comparison on Detection Results of Pathogen Nucleic Acids for Bronchoalveolar Lavage Fluid of Lung Infection Infants Between Uighur nationality and Han nationality

Objective:To analyze the detection results of pathogen nucleic acids for bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF)of lung infection infants from Uighur nationality and Han ***:A retrospective analysis was performed on the 318 infants with lung infection who were admitted to the hospital from April 2018 to April *** to their nationality,they were divided into Uighur nationality group(190 cases)and Han nationality group(128 cases).The BALF specimens were collected to test pathogen nucleic *** distribution and positive rates of[respiratory syncytial virus(RSV),adenovirus(ADV),influenza virus A(IFA),influenza virus B(IFB),parainfluenza virus type 1(PIV I),parainfluenza virus type 2(PIV II),parainfluenza virus type 3(PIV III)],bacteria(Streptococcus pneumoniae,Haemophilus influenzae,staphylococcus aureus,Pseudomonas aeruginosa,klebsiella pneumoniae),Mycoplasma pneumoniae(MP)and Chlamydia pneumoniae(CP)in both groups were observed and ***:The virus detection for RSV,ADV and PIV III were on the top three in BALF from the children in both *** total positive rate of virus examination in Uighur nationality group was higher than that in Han nationality group(Pnationality group were higher than those in Han nationality group(Pnationality are high than those in Han nationality.
