nanomechanical properties of Molecular Deposition Film

Two nanomechanical properties of the moleculor deposition （ MD ） film deposited on the Au substrate were studied. The first is its nanotribological property investigated by an atomic force microscope, which indicates that the deposition of the MD film could reduce the frictional force. The second is its nanoindent property studied by a nano-indenter. The results show that, after the MD film is deposited on the Au substrate , the elastic modulus, hardness and load decreased all, moreover, the elastic deformation increased and the plastic deformation decreased, which indicates that the MD film can improve the nanomechanical properties of the Au substrate.

Protective effects of two food hydrocolloids on dental erosion:nanomechanical properties and microtribological behavior study

In this study,the protective effects of two food hydrocolloids,Xanthan gum and Arabic gum,on dental erosion are investigated from the perspective of the nanomechanical properties and microtribological behavior of acid-eroded *** specimens prepared from extracted human teeth were immersed in citric acid solution(CAS),CAS with 0.03%w/v Xanthan gum and CAS with 0.03%w/v Arabic gum,respectively,for 10 min to obtain three groups of eroded *** nanomechanical properties and microtribological behavior of enamel were examined using nano-indentation/scratch *** results show that compared with Arabic gum,Xanthan gum inhibits enamel surface demineralization and acid permeation more effectively because of a more uniform and denser adsorption on the surface of the *** impairment of the nanomechanical and microtribological properties of the enamel surface by acid erosion is mitigated more significantly by adding trace amounts of Xanthan gum than Arabic *** summary,adding trace food hydrocolloids reduces enamel surface demineralization and inhibits acid permeation to mitigate the influence of erosion on the mechanical and tribological properties of *** adsorption state of food hydrocolloids is the determining factor in the permeability of acid agents into the enamel and plays a significant role in preventing dental erosion.

Effects of sputtering pressure on nanostructure and nanomechanical properties of AlN films prepared by RF reactive sputtering

Wurtzite aluminum nitride（AlN） films were deposited on Si（100） wafers under various sputtering pressures by radio-frequency（RF） reactive magnetron sputtering. The film properties were investigated by XRD, SEM, AFM, XPS and nanoindenter techniques. It is suggested from the XRD patterns that highly c-axis oriented films grow preferentially at low pressures and the growth of（100） planes are preferred at higher pressures. The SEM and AFM images both reveal that the deposition rate and the surface roughness decrease while the average grain size increases with increasing the sputtering pressure. XPS results show that lowering the sputtering pressure is a useful way to minimize the incorporation of oxygen atoms into the AlN films and hence a film with closer stoichiometric composition is obtained. From the measurement of nanomechanical properties of AlN thin films, the largest hardness and elastic modulus are obtained at 0.30 Pa.

Optical and nanomechanical Characteristics of Multilayer Structure Derived from Color-changing Beetle Popillia Indgigonacea Motsch

The architecture of multilayer acting in colorful appearance has been widely *** spite of this,it is interesting that dense multilayer in epicuticle for Popillia indgigonacea Motsch elytra not only helps presenting angle dependence color-changing,but also showing higher reduced modulus(Er)and hardness(H)to protect soft abdomen *** optical and nanomechanical properties of elytron were investigated by structural observation,optical experiments,nanoindentation and coupled bionic model *** peak reflectance gradually varies from 588 nm to 510 nm with color change from orange and yellow to green when the incidence angle switches from 0°to 60°,which is attributed to the regulated variation from refractive spectra between the layers in different *** addition,the relatively higher Er and H of elytron epicuticle and endocuticle could play a role in resisting force with its *** identify the multifunctional characteristics of multilayer,optical and mechanical simulations were conducted based on coupled bionic models,and a strong consistence between the experiments and simulations is *** multilayer could resist force with lowest strain and stress,and the structural thickness is the most necessary factors that could adjust the colors in color-changing process.
