Background:Global health institutions have called for governments,international organisations and health practitioners to employ a human rights-based approach to infectious *** motivation for a human rights approach is clear:poverty and inequality create conditions for infectious diseases to thrive,and the diseases,in turn,interact with social-ecological systems to promulgate poverty,inequity and *** and intergovernmental organisations should be concerned with the control and elimination of these diseases,as widespread infections delay economic growth and contribute to higher healthcare costs and slower processes for realising universal human *** social determinants and economic outcomes associated with infectious diseases should interest multinational companies,partly because they have bearing on corporate productivity and,increasingly,because new global norms impose on companies a responsibility to respect human rights,including the right to ***:We reviewed historical and recent developments at the interface of infectious diseases,human rights and multinational *** investigation was supplemented with field-level insights at corporate capital projects that were developed in areas of high endemicity of infectious diseases,which embraced rights-based disease control ***:Experience and literature provide a longstanding business case and an emerging social responsibility case for corporations to apply a human rights approach to health programmes at global ***,in an increasingly globalised and interconnected world,multinational corporations have an interest,and an important role to play,in advancing rights-based control strategies for infectious ***:There are new opportunities for governments and international health agencies to enlist corporate business actors in disease control and elimination *** offered by the United Nations in 2011 that is widel

With economic globalization and the deepening of international division of labor, multinational corporations have become an important part of the world economy. Different from the scope of business activities in which domestic enterprises are only distributed in one country, the scope of business activities of multinational corporations extends to a number of countries and regions. Therefore, the complex and diversified business activities environment and characteristics of it have caused a special impact decision system for the capital structure of multinational corporations. The operations of multinational companies are affected by exchange rates and national policies, and they have special risks and advantages. In particular, multinational companies face a complex tax environment. The income tax has an impact on the capital structure of multinational corporations. The theoretical basis of this effect includes MM theory and trade-off theory. The decision of capital structure is an important financial issue for multinational companies. This paper summarizes some conclusions and suggestions based on the literature on capital structure and tax burden of multinational corporations.

Global corporate environmental,social,and governance(ESG)strategy for multinational corporations(MNCs)is an underexplored area of research in international *** is becoming an increasingly significant and complex part of corporate strategy for *** pressures in different countries adds to the complexity of integrating a global ESG *** thesis focuses on a case study of a single United States(US)headquartered MNC in the chemical industry that operates in the US and China to simplify the identification and analysis of *** purpose of this study is to gain a deeper understanding of how an MNC integrates its global ESG strategy in the US and China,and how stakeholder pressures vary across *** findings were collected through interviews with key high-level executives at the case company and an ESG expert in *** analysis was utilized to construct a theoretical framework and present a holistic view of the case company's ESG *** case company considered pressures from stakeholders globally when building its ESG *** strategy is integrated more deeply in the US than China,which is impacted by workforce size and workforce *** most relevant stakeholders to its global ESG strategy are employees,customers,communities,investors,suppliers,policy makers,NGOs,and rating *** salience aligns with the orientation of its global ESG ***,the stakeholders with the most impact are employees and *** China,communities present the case company with a growing threat of salience.

Do Bilateral Investment Treaties Attract Foreign Direct Investment to Developing Countries？ A Review of the Empirical Literature

States have signed over 3,000 bilateral investment treaties （BITs）. BITs stipulate the terms and conditions by which foreign investors from one country must be treated in another. A series of empirical studies have asked the question, do BITs increase foreign direct investment to less developed countries？ This paper reviews the literature. While the studies come to conflicting results, most studies suffer from the same methodological misstep--they fail to account for variation in treaties. The paper concludes that the most productive path forward for future research efforts includes using dyadic research designs that account for variation in BITs.

Now days,multinational corporations （MNC） have become the major promotion power in economic ***,with the coming of the era of knowledge economy,the current economic growth relies more on the application and innovation of knowledge which has become an important resource to develop the core competitiveness of an *** the environment of knowledge economy,the governance of MNC shows many new characteristics different form traditional *** knowledge transferring in enterprises has significant influence on the effect of corporate *** build the governance structures of MNC based on knowledge and to solve the issue of governance mechanism establishment,this paper studied the parent-subsidiary relationship based on knowledge in MNC and researched the knowledge composition in *** this basis,this paper developed the study on corporate governance structures of MNC in knowledge perspective,established the knowledge transferring model in MNC,combined the current governance situation of China’s MNC and carried out the empirical study on multinational governance theories based on knowledge by questionnaire data from MNC in China.

This paper analyzes firms’ decisions to seek intellectual property rights in global markets, particularly in China. We introduce the notion of a ‘quadic patent,’ defined as a patent family that consists of patent applications filed at the European Patent Office, the Japanese Patent Office, the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and the national patent office of a fourth country. We examine the determinants of quadic patenting at the industry level for China, and at the country level for a sample of 38 countries. Our results indicate that quadic patenting is driven by the need to access markets, respond to imitative threats, and compete in product markets.

Over the past two decades,the convergences of translation studies and international business studies have attracted a growing amount of attention from stakeholders in the respective research *** is particularly because professionals and scholars in international business and management realize the importance of the role of language and translation in international trade and multilingual *** research results in this interdisciplinary field could provide basis for making critical decisions,such as the staff recruitment,company language policy and company development ***,few reviews have been available that provide a comprehensive overview of relevant practice and research in this cross-disciplinary *** present article therefore aims to offer a state-of-the-art review and investigate the existing literature to map the main research topics and discover future *** article first provides an overview of the perception of“translation”,the role of translator,and translational activities in international business ***,the review focuses on the translation and knowledge transfer in multinational ***,it identifies future directions towards the cross-fertility of the interdisciplinary collaboration.
