The equation of state(EOS) for hard-sphere fluid derived from compressibility routes of Percus-Yevick theory(PYC) is extended. The two parameters are determined by fitting well-known virial coefficients of pure *** extended cubic EOS can be directly extended to multi-component mixtures, merely demanding the EOS of mixtures also is cubic and combining two physical conditions for the radial distribution functions at contact(RDFC) of *** calculated virial coefficients of pure fluid and predicted compressibility factors and RDFC for both pure fluid and mixtures are excellent as compared with the simulation data. The values of RDFC for mixtures with extremely large size ratio 10 are far better than the BGHLL expressions in literature.

Chrysanthemum indicum Flower is usually consumed as functional food. This paper described an improved total quality assessment method for Chrysanthemum indicum Flower by simultaneous quantitation using a single standard to determine multi-components method combined with high performance liquid chromatography fingerprint analysis. Six main components of Chrysanthemum indicum Flower including two flavonoids and four phenolic acids were simultaneously quantified using linarin as the internal reference standard. The method was fully validated with respect to linearity, precision, accuracy, robustness and *** validated method was successfully applied to the analysis of thirty three batches of Chrysanthemum indicum Flower samples. Under the same chromatographic conditions, fingerprint analysis in combination with Similarity analysis and principal component analysis was performed to identify the samples from different regions. In general, an effective assessment using a single standard to determinate multi-components method combined with fingerprint analysis make the reliable qualitation and quantitation analysis of Chrysanthemum indicum Flower available.

Joint PP and PS AVO inversion based on Zoeppritz equations

Considering Zoeppritz equations, reflections of PP and PS are only the function of ratios of density and velocity. So the inversion results will be the same if the ratios are the same but values of density, velocities of P- wave and S-wave are different without strict constraint. This paper makes efforts to explore nonlinear simultaneous PP and PS inversion with expectation to reduce the ambiguity of AVO analysis by utilizing the redundancy of multi-component AVO measurements. Accurate estimation of ratio parameters depends on independence of input data. There are only two independent AVO attributes for PP reflectivity （i.e. intercept and gradient） and two for PS reflectivity （i.e. pseudo-intercept and pseudo-gradient or extreme amplitude）, respectively. For individual PP and PS inversion, the values of least-squares objective function do not converge around a large neighborhood of chosen true model parameters. Fortunately for joint PP and PS inversion the values of the least-squares objective function show closed contours with single minima. Finally the power function fitting is used to provide a higher precision AVO attributes than traditional polynomial fitting. By using the four independent fitting attributes （two independent attributes for PP and PS respectively）, the inversion of four ratio parameters （velocities and densities） would be estimated with less errors than that in traditional method.

[Objectives] The research aimed to evaluate the quality of Zhenrongdan mixture by fingerprint combining QAMS. [Methods] The quality evaluation method was established and validated with echinacoside as internal reference to determine the contents of other components(ferulic acid, salvianolic acid B, and icariin) according to the relative correction factor. The accuracy and feasibility of QAMS were evaluated by comparison on the results between the measured value and calculation value by external standard method and QAMS. [Results] A common pattern of characteristic fingerprint of Zhenrongdan mixture by HPLC was established. Thirteen common peaks were identified, and they account for 91% of the total peak area, and four components were verified in five batches of Zhenrongdan mixture. Good similarities with correlation coefficients higher than 0.99 were found in the fingerprints. There was no significant difference between the quantitative results of the four ingredients in the five batches by external standard method and QAMS. [Conclusions] The method of fingerprint combined with QAMS could be used for the quality control of multiple components determination and fingerprint chromatography for Zhenrongdan mixture.
