Auto-updating model-based control for thrust variation mitigation and acceleration performance enhancement of gas turbine aero-engines

model-based control shows promising potential for engine performance improve-ment and future aero-propulsion *** this paper,an auto-updating thrust variation mitigation(AuTVM)control approach using on-board model strategies is proposed for gas tur-bine aero-engines under in-service degradation effects,which aims at active thrust regulation and acceleration protection in a simultaneous *** AuTVM control is integrated with an on-line block,based on a reliable on-board engine model,and an off-line part for the periodical update of control parameters via post-flight engine monitoring *** core feature of the AuTVM control is a set of auto-updating loops within the on-line part,including thrust regu-lation loop,surge margin loop,turbine entry temperature loop,and the steady loop,whose con-trol parameters are periodically adjusted with increasingflight ***,an industrial sensor-based baseline controller and two tailored model-based controllers,i.e.,a thrust variation mitigation(TVM)controller withfixed gains and a self-enhancing active transient protection(SeATP)controller with pro-active transient protection and passive thrust control,are also developed as comparison *** simulations for idle to full-power acceleration tests are carried on a validated aero-thermal turbofan engine model using publicly available degra-dation *** results demonstrate that both new engines and severely degraded en-gines regulated by the AuTVM controller show significant thrust response enhancement,compared to the baseline ***,thrust variation at the maximum steady state of degraded engines,which exists within the SeATP controller and the baseline controller,is suppressed by the proposed AuTVM *** analysis against degradation uncer-tainties and sensor accuracy confirms that the AuTVM controller owns a closer maximum steady-state thrust distribution to the desired value than those of the SeATP and the basel

This paper studies the stabilization problem for discrete-time model-based networked control systems under multiple packet *** dynamics of model-based multiple packet transmission NCSs are modeled as switched control systems.A sufficient condition for stabilization is derived by the multiple Lyapunov function *** is shown that stabilizing networked feedback laws can be obtained by solving matrix inequalities.A numerical example is proposed for verification.

This paper presents a model-based formation control strategy for multi-agent systems(MASs) with dynamic eventtriggered(DET) mechanism to counter Denial-of-Service(DoS) attacks. When DoS attacks occur, a mathematical model is constructed to compute the system state, approximating the unaffected actual system state, and employing it to execute formation control behaviors. In the absence of DoS attacks, the actual system state is used to update the model state, facilitating model calibration. A DET mechanism with auxiliary variables is proposed to conserve communication resources. By using composite variables to unify the model's state variables with the actual system's state variables, an error system model is constructed. By establishing a Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional(LKF), some criteria are derived for stability analysis and control gain *** the simulation section, the effects of DoS attacks on formation control are demonstrated using both zero-order holders and model-based control methods. Comparative analysis highlights the effectiveness of the model-based approach.

In this paper,the state feedback control of the linear singularly perturbed plant is studied,where the sensor and the controller/actuator are connected via a network and the transmission frequency is *** terms of the model-based control,the model plant in the singularly perturbed system is added at the controller/actuator to stabilize the original singularly perturbed system with periodically updating its state by the actual state of the plant provided by the ***,under some certain conditions,independent of the small parameter,the existence of the bound of the small parameter is shown to guarantee the globally exponential stability of the whole closed-loop singularly perturbed *** addition,a numerical simulation is shown to illustrate the results of the paper.

＜正＞In this paper,based on the leader-follower formation architecture,we propose a tracking control scheme for spacecraft formation flying in the framework of networked control systems（NCSs） with time-varying network access intervals.A continuous-time representation of the NCS is considered to model the relative translational motion of the follower spacecraft relative to the leader spacecraft.A model-based controller combined with backstepping technique is developed to guarantee uniformly ultimate boundedness（UUB） of the relative position and velocity tracking errors in the semiglobal *** adjustable parameter with respect to which semiglobal UUB is achieved is the network access deadline between transmission *** simulations are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed controller.

In this paper,we present a novel model-based event triggered adaptive neural network（NN） tracking control scheme for a class of strict-feedback discrete-time nonlinear *** using the event sampled NN to approximate the uncertainties of the system,an NN-based adaptive model is first constructed and then the controller is designed by means of *** this scheme,the feedback state signals and NN weights signals are updated in an aperiodic manner at the triggering instants which is depending on the adaptive event trigger ***,the adaptive event trigger condition consists of the NN estimated weights and some design parameters to determine the trigger *** Lyapunov method and the decoupled backstepping technique is used to verify the ultimate boundedness of the NN weight error and the system *** results are given to verify the effectiveness of the control scheme.

Automotive powertrain mainly consisting of combustion engine,motor and battery(*** for hybrid powertrain)is a very complicated integration system,and the research on the automotive powertrain control techniques remains hot-spot in past *** paper proposes some challenging issues and control solutions of automotive powertrain system from the perspective of the dynamic system *** typical characteristics of automotive powertrain system are analysed for control development,and the several control applications using model-based and model-free control design are demonstrated with sufficient experimental *** addition,some open issues for future powertrain control development are summarised.
