Targeting micromotion for mimicking natural bone healing by using NIPAM/Nb_(2)C hydrogel

Natural fracture healing is most efficient when the fine-tuned mechanical force and proper micromotion are *** mimick this micromotion at the fracture gap,a near-infrared-II(NIR–II)–activated hydrogel was fabricated by integrating two-dimensional(2D)monolayer Nb2C nanosheets into a thermally responsive poly(Nisopropylacrylamide)(NIPAM)hydrogel ***–II–triggered deformation of the NIPAM/Nb2C hydrogel was designed to generate precise micromotion for co-culturing *** was validated that micromotion at 1/300 Hz,triggering a 2.37-fold change in the cell length/diameter ratio,is the most favorable condition for the osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs).Moreover,mRNA sequencing and verification revealed that micromotion-induced augmentation was mediated by Piezo1 *** of Piezo1 interrupts the mechano-sensitivity and abrogates osteogenic *** and femoral shaft defect models were established to explore the biocompatibility and osteoinductivity of the micromotion Biomaterial.A series of research methods,including radiography,micro-CT scanning,and immunohistochemical staining have been performed to evaluate biosafety and osteogenic *** in vivo results revealed that tunable micromotion strengthens the natural fracture healing process through the sequential activation of endochondral ossification,promotion of neovascularization,initiation of mineral deposition,and combinatory acceleration of full-thickness osseous *** study demonstrated that micromotion Biomaterials with controllable mechanophysical characteristics could promote the osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs and facilitate full osseous *** design of NIPAM/Nb2C hydrogel with highly efficient photothermal conversion,specific features of precisely controlled micromotion,and bionic-mimicking bone-repair capabilities could spark a new era in the field of regenerative medicine.

Linear ion trap imperfection and the compensation of excess micromotion

Quantum computing requires ultracold ions in a ground vibrational state, which is achieved by sideband cooling. We report our recent efforts towards the Lamb Dicke regime which is a prerequisite of sideband cooling. We first analyse the possible imperfection in our linear ion trap setup and then demonstrate how to suppress the imperfection by compensating the excess micromotion of the ions. The ions, after the micromotion compensation, are estimated to be very close to the Doppler-cooling limit.

Angular extent effect of micromotion target in SAR image by polar format algorithm

Target micromotion not only plays an important role in target recognition but also leads to esoteric characteristics in synthetic aperture radar （SAR） imaging. This paper finds out an interesting phenomenon, i.e. the angular extent effect, in micro-motion target images formulated by the polar format algorithm. A micromotion target takes on multiple pairs of paired echoes （PEs） around the true point, and each PE extends for an angle which is exactly equal to the angular extent of the synthetic aperture, regardless of the micromotion frequency. The effect is derived and interpreted by using the characteristics of Bessel functions. Then it is demonstrated by simulation experiments of a target with different micromotion frequencies. The revelation and interpretation of the effect is highly beneficial to micromotion-target SAR image understanding as wel as target recognition.

Hybrid micromotion-scattering center model for synthetic aperture radar micromotion target imaging

micromotion is an important target feature, although the target micromotion has an unfavorable influence on the synthetic aperture radar （SAR） image interpretation due to defocusing. This paper introduces micromotion parameters into the scattering center model to obtain a hybrid micromotion-scattering center model, and then proposes an optimization algorithm based on the maximal likelihood estimation to solve the model for jointly obtaining target motion and scattering parameters. Initial value estimation methods using targets＇ ghost images are then presented to guarantee the global and fast convergence. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm especially in high precision estimation and multiple targets processing.

micromotions and combined damages at the dental implant/bone interface

micromotion and fretting damages at the dental implant/bone interface are neglected for the limitation of check methods, but it is particularly important for the initial success of osseointegration and the life time of dental implant. This review article describes the scientific documentation of micromotion and fretting damages on the dental implant/bone interface. The fretting amplitude is less than 30 l^m in vitroand the damage in the interface is acceptable. While in vivo, the micromotion＇s effect is the combination of damage in tissue level and the real biological reaction.
