＜正＞ Since the first occurrence of microdiamond from Dabie Mountains reported in 1992, more than ten microdiamond crystals were found in 2003 and 2004 respectively. In the present paper, five in situ microdiamonds in thin-sections of eclogites and two free grains recovered from crushed eclogites are reported. Two larger free microdiamonds are 200-700 μm in size;the in situ microdiamonds are 30-180 μm across. Most the in situ microdiamonds are inclusions in garnets, but some larger ones are intergranular. All the newly found microdiaminds are perfectly confirmed by Raman spectroscopy. The most important is the microdiamonds from northern Dabie Mountains, where has been so far treated as a low-pressure terrane by some international geologists. In contrast, it is now proved to be not only the UHP terrane but also the deepest subducted terrane among the UHP terranes by the extra evidence of cpx exsolution in garnets. Two free and two in situ microdiamonds are identified by Infrared spectroscopy to be the mixture of laA and laB types, which differ from the synthetic diamond by lack of single Nitrogen atoms in the crystal lattice. It means that no synthetic diamonds are involved. It is in concordance with the evidence from the microdiamond with zonal structure and inclusion of minor microdiamonds, which can only be found in the naturally formed microdiamonds.
