For better interpretation of synthetic aperture radar（SAR） images,the speckle filtering is an important *** the area of speckle filtering,the proper averaging of samples with similar scattering characteristics is of great ***,existing filtering algorithms are either lack of a similarity judgment of scattering characteristics or using only intensity information for similarity judgment.A novel polarimetric SAR（PolSAR） speckle filtering algorithm based on the mean shift theory is *** polarimetric covariance matrices or coherency matrices form Riemannian manifold,the pixels with similar scattering characteristics gather closely and those with different scattering characteristics separate in this *** using the range-spatial joint mean shift theory in Riemannian manifold,the pixels chosen for averaging are ensured to be close not only in scattering characteristics but also in the spatial *** Aerospace Center（DLR） L-Band Experiment SAR（E-SAR） data and East China Research Institute of Electronic Engineering（ECRIEE） PolSAR data are used to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed *** filtering results of two commonly used speckle filtering algorithms,refined Lee filtering algorithm and intensity driven adaptive neighborhood（IDAN） filtering algorithm,are also presented for the comparison *** results show that the proposed speckle filtering algorithm achieves a good performance in terms of speckle filtering,edge protection as well as polarimetric characteristics preservation.

The mean shift tracker has difficulty in tracking fast moving targets and suffers from tracking error accumulation problem. To overcome the limitations of the mean shift method, a new approach is proposed by integrating the mean shift algorithm and frame-difference methods. The rough position of the moving tar- get is first located by the direct frame-difference algorithm and three-frame-difference algorithm for the immobile camera scenes and mobile camera scenes, respectively. Then, the mean shift algorithm is used to achieve precise tracking of the target. Several tracking experiments show that the proposed method can effectively track first moving targets and overcome the tracking error accumulation problem.

Visual tracking technology can provide measurement information for unmanned helicopter formation and thus, more attention is being paid to this research area. We propose a novel mean shift(MS) algorithm that is both adaptive and robust for unmanned helicopter formation and apply it to the leading unmanned helicopter tracking. The movement of an unmanned helicopter is very flexible and changeable, which makes the tracking there of more difficulty than for common targets. In creating an algorithm that can adapt to the acceleration of the unmanned helicopter and estimates both the scale and orientation of the movement changes, we combine the traditional MS with the bio-inspired Cauchy predator-prey biogeography-based optimization(CPPBBO)evolutionary algorithm, and also the space variant resolution(SVR) mechanism of the human visual system(MS-CPPBBO-SVR). To demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method and justify the importance of the CPPBBO algorithm and SVR mechanism at the same time, a series of comparative experiments were carried out. The experimental results of the proposed MS-CPPBBO-SVR method are compared with other competitive tracking methods, such as MS, MS with SVR(MS-SVR), MS-SVR with several other optimization algorithms, and the robust particle filter algorithm. The experimental results demonstrate that our proposed tracking approach, MS-CPPBBO-SVR, is more adaptive, robust and efficient in target tracking than the other methods.

CAMshift algorithm and Comaniciu/Meer algorithm are two fundamental frameworks of mean shift procedure for video target *** paper generalizes the two well-known mean shift tracking algorithms,originally due to Bradski and Comaniciu/Meer.A new general similarity function which defines the distance between the target model and target candidate is employed to calculate the pixel weights and the target *** target size is iteratively estimated and updated based on the zeroth order moment of the pixel *** we prove that both the CAMshift algorithm and the Comaniciu/Meer algorithm can be included in the generalized mean shift tracking *** tracking performances of three mean shift algorithms in the unified framework are shown and compared in the experimental results.

In this paper we discuss the least-square estimator of the unknown change point in a mean shift for moving-average processes of ALNQD sequence. The consistency and the rate of convergence for the estimated change point are established. The asymptotic distribution for the change point estimator is obtained. The results are also true for ρ-mixing, φ-mixing, α-mixing sequences under suitable conditions. These results extend those of Bai, who studied the mean shift point of a linear process of i.i.d, variables, and the condition ∑j=0^∞j｜aj｜〈 ∞ in Bai is weakened to ∑j=0^∞｜aj｜〈∞.

This letter presents a novel Motion Vector (MV) recovery method which is based on mean shift (MS) procedure. According to motion continuity, MVs in local area should be similar. If projecting MV into 2-D feature space, local MVs in the feature space tend to cluster closely. To estimate the lost MVs in local area, recovery of lost MVs is modeled as clustering operation. MS procedure is applied to enforce each lost MV in the feature space to shift to the position where dominant MVs are gathered. meanwhile, bandwidth estimation is statistically characterized by the variation of local standard de-viations; weighted value calculation is determined by estimation of overall standard deviation. Simu-lation results demonstrate their better performance when compared with other MV recovery ap-proaches and low computation cost.

目标跟踪一直是计算机视觉研究领域的热点问题,其应用领域有视频监控、人机用户接口、虚拟现实等等。视觉跟踪要求在光照变化、遮挡等各种因素的干扰下,能准确有效地跟踪不同背景条件下的目标,如何对视频序列中的目标进行稳健、有效跟踪一直是目标跟踪的研究重点。基于目标颜色直方图来对目标进行跟踪的mean shift算法,因方法简洁、实时性好、能处理目标变形以及部分遮挡等困难情形,而得到了广泛的运用。传统的mean shift跟踪算法以颜色直方图为特征对目标进行跟踪,颜色直方图具有旋转不变性,缩放不变性等优点,但它不能反映颜色的空间分布特征。本文针对传统颜色直方图存在的缺点,提出了—基于空间颜色直方图模型。在此基础上,对传统mean shift视频跟踪算法进行改进：以空间颜色直方图代替传统颜色直方图作为mean shift视频跟踪算法的跟踪特征。实验表明,相比传统mean shift算法,新算法在满足实时性的同时能更好地跟踪目标。自动选择跟踪窗尺度的mean shift算法,利用图像的信息量和图像尺度之间的关系,在跟踪过程中动态地调整跟踪窗口的大小,但是该算法计算图像信息量时没有考虑不同位置的特征点的置信度。距离跟踪窗口越近的特征点越能反映跟踪目标的特征,而距离跟踪窗口较远的特征点有可能是背景区域的特征点,即边缘特征点和中心特征点的置信度是不一样的。本文对该算法进行了改进,加入核函数作为权值函数,减少窗口边缘特征点对信息量大小的影响,实验表明改进之后的算法跟踪窗口的尺度大小较原算法更加准确。
