Existing studies via shot noise calculation conclude that the cross correlation between the currents in the two leads connected by a pair of majorana zero modes(MZMs)vanishes when their coupling energy𝜖∈_(M)→*** by the intrinsic nature of nonlocality of the MZMs,we revisit this important problem and propose an experimental scheme to demonstrate the nonvanishing cross correlation even at the limit𝜖∈_(M)→*** proposed scheme employs the Andreevprocess-associated branch circuit currents,which are theoretically obtained by applying a decomposition analysis for the total currents while are accessible directly in practical *** different bias voltage setup,we find intriguing results of both negative and positive correlations and carry out simple physical understanding using a quantum jump ***,combining together with the evidence of the zero-bias-peak of conductance,the nonlocal cross correlation predicted in this work can help to confirm the existence of the nonlocal MZMs.

We investigate the topological properties of an antiferromagnetic(AFM)chain with an on-site periodic potential,considering the intrinsic spin–orbit coupling and an external Zeeman field along with the *** results indicate that majorana zero modes(MZMs)can be observed by adjusting the strength of the periodic *** have calculated the energy spectrum,the wave-function and transport properties,and all these results support the existence of MZMs in the AFM ***,multiple topological phase transitions occur as the strength of the periodic potential changes,and several regions support MZMs.

Mesoscopic superconducting islands hosting majorana zero modes(MZMs),or majorana islands in short,offer a prototype of topological *** this work we investigate theoretically the model of a generic majorana island tunneling-coupled to a singlepiece metallic substrate,hence an embedded majorana *** show the crucial consequences of an interplay between the topological ground states nonlocally addressed by the MZMs and the metallic bath with coherent electron propagation:on the one hand,the topological degeneracy on the majorana island can be preserved,by virtue of the particle-hole symmetry,despite the apparent bath-induced coupling between MZMs;on the other hand,the electronic interference in the metallic bath may lead to profound alterations to the renormalization group behavior of the hybrid system towards low energy/temperature compared with conventional Kondo *** work serves to establish the model of embedded majorana islands as an experimentally relevant and theoretically intriguing problem particularly in the direction of topological quantum computation.

With a series of recent breakthroughs,iron-based superconductors(FeSC)with a topological Dirac surface state are becoming a promising material platform for hosting majorana zero modes,which we refer to as the iron-majorana *** platform uniquely combines high-Tcsuperconductivity,a topological band structure,and electron correlations into a single material,successfully avoiding the difficulties of achieving intrinsic p-wave topological superconductors and superconductor/topological insulator heterojunction *** most important advantages of the iron-majorana platform are its wide topological region and large quasiparticle gap,which provide strong topological protection for pure majorana zero modes(MZMs).When the superconductor/topological insulator heterojunction systems,e.g.,In As/Al nanowire,have the controversies of being trivial majorana-like states,the iron-majorana platform,which possesses well-understood physics and clear experimental evidence of vortex MZMs,is more likely to be a true ***,unlike the nanowire majorana systems with clear theoretical proposals for braiding schemes,the iron-majorana system has no concrete method for exchanging the vortex MZMs or constructing a topological *** this article,we propose a roadmap of the future efforts required for more physical exploration and achieving the non-Abelian exchange statistics of MZMs based on the iron-majorana platform.

We consider a two-lead(three-terminal) setup of non-local transport through majorana zero modes(MZMs) and construct a majorana master equation(which is also valid for small bias voltages). We first present representative results of current and then show that only a modified Bogoliubov-de Gennes(Bd G) treatment can consistently recover the same results. Based on the interplay of the two approaches, we reveal the existence of non-vanishing channels of teleportation and crossed Andreev reflections even at the limit ∈;→ 0(zero coupling energy of the MZMs), which leads to new predictions for the height of the zero-bias-peak of the local conductance and the ∈;-scaling behavior of the teleportation conductance, for verification by experiments.

The fermionic and bosonic zero modes of the one-dimensional（1D） interacting Kitaev chain at the symmetric point are unveiled. The many-body structures of the majorana zero modes in the topological region are given explicitly by carrying out a perturbation expansion up to infinite order. We also give the analytic expressions of the bosonic zero modes in the topologically trivial phase. Our results are generalized to the hybrid fermion system comprised of the interacting Kitaev model and the Su–Schrieffer–Heeger（SSH） model, in which we show that these two types of zero modes can coexist in a certain region of its phase diagram.

We study the topological properties of the one-dimensional non-Hermitian Kitaev model with complex either periodic or quasiperiodic *** obtain the energy spectrum and the phase diagrams of the system by using the transfer matrix method as well as the topological *** phase transition points are given *** majorana zero modes in the topological nontrivial regimes are *** on the quasiperiodic potential,we obtain the phase transition from the topological superconducting phase to the Anderson localization,which is accompanied with the Anderson localization–delocalization transition in this non-Hermitian *** also find that the topological regime can be reduced by increasing the non-Hermiticity.

We investigate the topological properties of a ladder model of the dimerized Kitaev superconductor *** topological class of the system is determined by the relative phase θ between the inter-and intra-chain superconducting *** topological class is the class BDI characterized by the Z index,and the other is the class D characterized by the Z;*** the two different topological classes,the topological phase diagrams of the system are presented by calculating two different topological numbers,i.e.,the Z index winding number W and the Z;index majorana number M,*** the case of θ=0,the topological class belongs to the class BDI,multiple topological phase transitions accompanying the variation of the number of majorana zero modes are *** the case of θ = π/2 it belongs to the class *** results show that for the given value of dimerization,the topologically nontrivial and trivial phases alternate with the variation of chemical potential.

To reve al the non-Abelian braiding statistics of Major ana zero modes(MZMs),it is crucial to design a majorana platform,in which MZMs can be easily manipulated in a broad topological nontrivial parameter *** is also an essential step to confirm their *** this study,we propose an iron-based superconducting nanowire system with majorana vortex states to satisfy desirable *** system has a radius-induced topological phase transition,giving a lower bound for the nanowire *** the topological phase,the iron-based superconducting nanowires have only one pair of MZMs over a wide range of radii,chemical potential and external magnetic *** wave function of MZMs has a sizable distribution at the side edge of the *** property enables the control of the interaction of MZMs in neighboring vortex nanowires and paves the way for majorana fusion and braiding.
