Backgrounds: lung squamous cell carcinoma(LUSC) is one of the most common malignant tumors around the world with limited therapy for the patients with advanced stage. Immunotherapy has been approved for treatment of LUSC, however, the response rate is unsatisfactory. Recent studies have found that patients with the inflamed type of immune environment were more likely to response to the immunotherapy. It is imperative to build a model to characterize the immune signature of LUSC and to predict the response of ***: The gene expression of LUSC patients from the GEO and the TCGA database were performed by single-sample gene set enrichment analysis(ssGSEA), weighted gene co-expression network analysis(WGCNA), multiple linear regression, and least absolute shrinkage, and selection operator(LASSO).Results: The immune related modules were acquired from TCGA and GSE50081, and the genes in the TCGA turquoise module were positively related to inflamed type(r = 0.69, P <1 e-200;r = 0.93, P<1 e-200;r = 0.57, P = 3.5 e-135). Fifty-one hub genes were obtained by taking the intersection of TCGA and GSE50081 hub genes which were also positively correlated to inflamed type(r = 0.38, P =1.1 e-18;r = 0.92, P = 4.4 e-200;r = 0.32, P = 5.4 e-13). Fifty-one gene model and 7 gene model simplified by LASSO were higher expression in patients of inflamed type than immune excluded and desert type(P = 2.5 e-6, P = 7.5 e-14, and P = 1.7 e-6, P = 7.7 e-14) and in patients with response to antiPD-L1 therapy(P = 0.031 and P = 0.026). Four positively expression of seven gene signified the model positive. The model was validated by multiple GEO and TCGA databases and could applied on other ***: The establishment of 7 gene model provides a new way to characterized the immune microenvironment of LUSC and predicted the response of immunotherapy.

Evidence has shown that IL-6/IL-6R signaling pathway contributes to the pathogenesis of lung *** adenocarcinoma(LUAD) and lung squamous cell carcinoma(LUSC) are the major two pathological subtypesof non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).This study is aimed to elucidate potential clinical prognosis and biological function of IL-6R mRNA expression in LUAD and *** used the Keywords: "lung cancer" and searched through GEO *** LUAD and LUSC datasets in TCGA database, totally 8 LUAD and 6 LUSC datasets were included for this *** found that ahigher expression level of IL-6R mRNA in tumor tissues was a positive prognostic factor for overall survival in LUAD(pooled HR = 0.48, Pcell cycle progression in LUAD and are mostly involved in tumor angiogenesis, invasion and metastasis in *** analyses suggest a possible role of tumoral expression of IL-6R in LUAD and can potentially be used as a prognostic marker for this type of cancer.

Perioperative Nursing Care for Patients with lung Cancer Undergoing Total Pneumonectomy

Objectives: To explore the perioperative nursing care for lung cancer patients undergoing total pneumonectomy, and to promote their rehabilitation. Methods: We will provide preoperative assessment and education in the aspects of respiratory function, diet, and psychology to patients undergoing total pneumonectomy, and provide continuous postoperative management about posture, fluid, and respiratory to help patients diagnosed with lung squamous cell carcinoma and underwent total pneumonectomy to reduce their postoperative complications and improve their overall quality of life. Results: 78.9% of lung cancer patients who underwent total pneumonectomy achieved a better outcome and prognosis by receiving the above nursing program. Conclusion: With large lung cancer tumors, the surgical trauma is highly invasive and the resection is extensive. Management of the patient’s respiratory tract is the focus of perioperative nursing and the key to preventing the development of related postoperative complications.
