Application of an amphipathic molecule at the NiO_(x)/perovskite interface for improving the efficiency and long-term stability of the inverted perovskite solar cells

The presence of defects and detrimental reactions at NiO_(x)/perovskite interface extremely limit the efficiency performance and long-term stability of the perovskite solar cells(PSCs) based on NiO_(x).Herein,an amphipathic molecule Triton X100(Triton) is modified on the NiO_(x)*** hydrophilic chain of Triton as a Lewis base additive can coordinate with the Ni3+on the NiO_(x)surface which can passivate the interfacial defects and hinder the detrimental reactions at the NiO_(x)/perovskite ***,the hydrophobic chain of Triton protrudes from the NiO_(x)surface to prevent moisture from penetrating into the NiO_(x)/perovskite ***,the NiO_(x)/Triton-based devices(MAPbI3as absorbing layer) show superior moisture and thermal stability,retaining 88.4% and 64.3% of the initial power conversion efficiency after storage in air(40%-50% relative humidity(RH)) at 25 ℃ for 1070 h and in N2at 85℃ for 800 h,***,the efficiency increases from 17.59% to 19.89% because of the passivation defect and enhanced hole-extraction ***,the NiO_(x)/Triton-based PSCs with Cs_(0.05)(MA_(0.15)FA_(0.85))_(0.95)Pb(I_(0.85)Br_(0.15))3perovskite as the light-absorbing layer also exhibits better moisture and thermal stability compared to the control devices,indicating the viability of our *** particular note,a champion PCE of 22.35% and 20.46% was achieved for small-area(0.1 cm^(2)) and large-area(1.2 cm^(2)) NiO_(x)/Triton-based devices,respectively.

In this work,we developed the PM6:Y6-based inverted structure organic photovoltaic(i-OPV)with improved power conversion efficiency(PCE)and long-term stability by resolving the origins of the performance *** deep defects between the metal oxide-based electron transport layer and bulk-heterojunction photoactive layer interface were responsible for suboptimal PCE and facilitated degradation of *** the density of deep traps is increased during the storage of i-OPV,the penetrative oxygen-containing defects additionally generated shallow traps below the band-edge of Y6,causing an additional loss in the open-circuit *** suppression of interfacial defects by chemical modification effectively improved the PCE and long-term stability of *** modified i-OPV(mi-OPV)achieved a PCE of 17.42%,which is the highest value among the reported PM6:Y6-based i-OPV ***,long-term stability was significantly improved:~90%and~80%retention of its initial PCE after 1200 h of air storage and illumination,respectively.

All-inorganic CsPbI_(2)Br perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have received extensive research interests ***,their low efficiency and poor long-term stability are still obstacles for further commercial ***,we demonstrate that high efficiency and exceptional long-term stability are realized by incorporating gadolinium(III)chloride(GdCl_(3))into the CsPbI_(2)Br perovskite *** incorporation of GdCl_(3) enhances the Goldschmidt tolerance factor of CsPbI_(2)Br perovskite,yielding a dense perovskite film with small grains,thus the a-phase CsPbI_(2)Br is remarkably ***,it is found that the GdCl_(3)-incorporated perovskite film achieves suppressed charge recombination and appropriate energy level alignment compared with the pristine CsPbI_(2)Br *** noticeable increment in efficiency from14.01%(control PSC)to 16.24%is achieved for GdCl_(3)-incorporated ***,the nonencapsulated GdCl_(3)-incorporated PSC exhibits excellent environmental and thermal stability,remaining over 91%or90%of the original efficiency after 1200 h aging at 40%relative humidity or 480 h heating at 85℃ in nitrogen glove box *** encapsulated GdCl_(3)-incorporated PSC presents an improved operational stability with over 88%of initial efficiency under maximum power point(MPP)tracking at 45℃ for1000 *** work presents an effective ion-incorporation approach for boosting efficiency and long-term stability of all-inorganic PSCs.

Ultrasensitive,flexible perovskite nanowire photodetectors with long-term stability exceeding 5000 h

Photodetectors(PDs)based on perovskite nanowires are among the most promising next-generation photodetection technologies;however,their poor long-term stability is the biggest challenge limiting their commercial ***,an ionic liquid,1-butyl-3 methylimidazolium tetrafuoroborate(BMIMBF_(4)),is incorporated as an additive into methylammonium lead tri-iodide(MAPbI_(3))nanowires;this not only effectively passivates defects to inhibit perovskite degradation but also leads to the formation of nanochannels,enabling fast charge *** a result,the long-term stability and perfor-mance of MAPbI_(3)nanowires are considerably *** detectivity,linear detection range,and noise equivalent power of the MA PbI_(3)nanowire PD reach 2.06×10^(13)Jones,160dB,and 1.38×10^(-15)W Hz-^(1/2),respectively,compara-ble to the highest performance of perovskite nanowire PDs reported to ***,the unencapsulated PD can maintain 100%of its initial performance after being exposed to an open-air environment for more than 5000 h,esta-blishing it as the most stable perovskite nanowire PD reported to ***-bly,the PD exhibits improved diffuse reflection imaging ability when compared with commercial silicon photodiode *** study provides a new strategy for constructing sensitive,stable,and flexible perovskite PDs and will accelerate their commercial application in the future.

long-term stability of large-span caverns is a challenging issue for design and construction of underground rock *** Heidong cavern group consisting of 21 caverns was constructed about 1400 years ago for quarrying in massive Cretaceous *** cavern No.5 of the Heidong cavern group is characterized by an unsupported span up to 92 m,with the overburden thickness of only 3-25 *** analyze its long-term stability,a detailed investigation was conducted to obtain its geometry and rock mass characteristics,and to monitor surrounding rock *** on field survey and laboratory tests,numerical simulations were performed using the finite difference code FLAC;.The analysis results revealed that for the long-term stability of the cavern No.5,some major factors should be carefully considered,such as cavern excavation method in hard massive rocks,site investigation using trial pits,tools like short iron chisel and hammer for manual excavation,geometric dome roof,and waste rocks within abutment or on the *** highlights of the technologies obtained from this large-scale ancient underground project can provide reference for other similar project excavations in practice.

Kriging-based reliability analysis of the long-term stability of a deep driftconstructed in the Callovo-Oxfordian claystone

Callovo-Oxfordian(COx)claystone has been considered as a potential host rock for geological radioactive waste disposal in France(Cigéo project).During the exploitation phase(100 years),the stability of drifts(***/alveoli)within the disposal is assured by the liner,which includes two layers:concrete arch segment and compressible *** latter exhibits a significant deformation capacity(about 50%)under low stress(long-term stability of ***,by focusing only on the purely mechanical behavior,this study aims at investigating the uncertainty effect of the COx claystone time-dependent properties on the stability of an alveolus of Cigéo during the exploitation *** describe the creep behavior of COx claystone,we use Lemaitre’s viscoplastic model with three parameters whose uncertainties are identified from laboratory creep *** the reliability analysis,an extension of a well-known Kriging metamodeling technique is proposed to assess the exceedance probability of acceptable stress in the concrete liner of the *** open-source code Code_Aster is chosen for the direct numerical evaluations of the performance *** Kriging-based reliability analysis elucidates the effect of the uncertainty of COx claystone on the long-term stability of the concrete ***,the role of the compressible material layer between the concrete liner and the host rock is also highlighted.

Performances and long-term stability of the LHAASO-KM2A prototype array

A prototype array for the LHAASO-KM2A, which consists of 42 detector units and fully overlaps the ARGO-YBJ experiment, was set up at the Yangbajing cosmic ray observatory and has been in stable operation since Octoter 2010. The resulting performances of the KM2A electromagnetic particle detector prototypes fully meet the design requirements. Through hybrid observation of cosmic ray showers with the ARGO-YBJ experiment, the performances and long-term stability of the prototype array are tested and the results are consistent with expectation. The cosmic ray moon shadow observed by the prototype array is also presented.

Could long-term stability Last Forever?

The subject of the present paper is to prove that the recently introduced conjecture of boundedness puts a ban over the view of stability as asymptotic property. This result comes in sharp contrast with the prescription of the traditional thermodynamics and statistical physics which consider the existence of equilibrium as asymptotic property of all systems. The difference commences from the use of infinitesimal calculus as the basic implement for modelling by the latter while the primary premise of the conjecture of boundedness is sustaining the energy/matter/information permanently bounded and finite. The latter property overrules the infinitesimal calculus as the major implement of modelling because, among all, it is proven that the traditional one suffers unsoluble difficulties.

Microstructure and long-term stability of Ni–YSZ anode supported fuel cells:a review

Nickel–yttria stabilized zirconia(Ni–YSZ)cermet is the most commonly used anode in solid oxide fuel cells(SOFCs).The current article provides an insight into parameters which affect cell performance and stability by reviewing and discussing the related publications in this *** the parameters which affect the microstructure of Ni–YSZ such as grain size(Leng et al 2003 *** Sources 11726–34)and ratio of Ni to YSZ,volume fraction of porosity,pore size and its distribution,tortuosity factor,characteristic pathway diameter and density of triple phase boundaries is the key to designing a fuel cell which shows high electrochemical *** of stability has been the main barrier to commercialization of SOFC *** influencing the degradation of Ni–YSZ supported SOFCs such as Ni migration inside the anode during prolonged operation are *** longest Ni-supported SOFC tests reported so far are examined and the crucial role of chromium poisoning due to interconnects,stack design and operating conditions in degradation of SOFCs is *** importance of calcination and milling of YSZ to development of porous structures suitable for Ni infiltration is explained and several methods to improve the electrochemical performance and stability of Ni–YSZ anode supported SOFCs are suggested.

Study on the long-term stability of Cr-contaminated soil in electroplating plant stabilized by calcium polysulfide

In order to explore the long-term stability of chromium-contaminated soils in electroplating plants after stabilization, we conducted a study to evaluates the effect of calcium polysulfide(CPS) on Cr stabilization in soil, under acid rain leaching, freezing-thawing cycle, and alternate wetting and drying, providing methods and data support for long-term stability assessment of Cr-contaminated soil stabilization in electroplating plants. The results demonstrated that the high stabilization effect at molar ratio of CPS/Cr(Ⅵ) was 3, with the stable efficiencies of total chromium(TCr) and Cr(Ⅵ) of 99.6% and 99.9%, respectively. The release of TCr and Cr(Ⅵ) in CPS stabilized soil under acid rain can be well fitted to the cumulative release in the fast release phase and the release equilibrium phase using the modified Elovich equation and the first-order kinetic equation, respectively. Although the release concentration of TCr and Cr(Ⅵ) in CPS stabilized soil during releasing equilibrium phase were maintained in the range of 0.78 2.33 mg L and 0.125 0.243 mg L respectively, but the cumulative release content of TCr and Cr(Ⅵ) were 92 mg kg and 11 mg kg under 102 d acid rain environment by column test respectively. Freezing-thawing cycle reduce the leaching of TCr in the soil. After 15 times of wetting and drying alternates, the CPS-stabilized soil leaching TCr concentration was decreased by 0.01 mg L from 2.55 mg L. Acid rain leaching can be used as a sensitive indicator to evaluate the long-term stability of Cr-contaminated soil after stabilization.
