Motion Estimation Based on Global and local Compensability Analysis

This paper reports our study of a novel motion estimation algorithm based on global and local compensability analysis. The spatial correlation of motion field is used to reduce the burden of estimation computation and extra bit rate for motion vectors. Experimental results show that this algorithm is more efficient than the conventional methods, especially for temporal activity regions.
