In some large-scale nonlinear uncertain systems there exists a special subsystem,which possesses the maximum state *** introducing a group of adjustable relation parameters （GARP）,a new decentralized robust control strategy is proposed according to focus on this special *** the GARP is adjustable,it is easy to get good *** controller is linear via state feedback even though the system to be controlled is nonlinear and ***,the assumptions made for controller designing are weakened in the proposed ***,the simulation shows the validity.

Advances of Model Order Reduction Research in large-scale system Simulation

Model Order Reduction (MOR) plays more and more imp or tant role in complex system simulation, design and control recently. For example , for the large-size space structures, VLSI and MEMS (Micro-ElectroMechanical systems) etc., in order to shorten the development cost, increase the system co ntrolling accuracy and reduce the complexity of controllers, the reduced order model must be constructed. Even in Virtual Reality (VR), the simulation and d isplay must be in real-time, the model order must be reduced too. The recent advances of MOR research are overviewed in the article. The MOR theor y and methods may be classified as Singular Value decomposition (SVD) based, the Krylov subspace based and others. The merits and demerits of the different meth ods are analyzed, and the existed problems are pointed out. Moreover, the applic ation’s fields are overviewed, and the potential applications are forecaste d. After the existed problems analyzed, the future work is described. There are som e problems in the traditional methods such as SVD and Krylov subspace, they are that it’s difficult to (1)guarantee the stability of the original system, (2) b e adaptive to nonlinear system, and (3) control the modeling accuracy. The f uture works may be solving the above problems on the foundation of the tradition al methods, and applying other methods such as wavelet or signal compression.

THE INTERLINKAGE OF large-scale systemS BETWEEN HIGH AND LOW LATITUDES RELATED TO PROPAGATION OF THE PLANETARY WAVE AROUND EAST ASIA IN SUMMER

A state feedback controller design for a class of linear discrete-time large-scale system with missing measurements and one step system delay is considered in this paper. The linear discrete-time large-scale system was modeled as interconnection of N subsystems. The occurrence of missing measurement is assumed to be a Bernoulli distributed sequence with known probability. Every subsystem has one step system delay. Sufficient conditions for the existence of a controller are derived in terms of linear matrix inequality（LMI）, such that the closed-loop system exponentially stable in the sense of mean square. A numerical example is also provided to demonstrate the validity of the proposed design approach.

This study has reviewed recent studies about impact of the Rossby wave propagation on the weather of East ***,we have focused on the northward progression of the subtropical high affected by the propagations and their *** following results are obtained:(1)The two kinds of meridional Rossby wave propagations often affect the East Asian weather in summer, which propagate in two conflicting directions(northwest-southeastward and southwest-northeast- ward).This is considered as the interaction of the large-scale systems between high and low latitudes with wave propagation,especially to the circulation systems around East Asia.(2)The northward progression of the subtropical high is largely restrained,aecompanied by the southward shift of the convective activity in middle latitudes,under the strong and persistent Rossby wave propagation from high to low *** the opposite role could be found in the Rossby wave propagation from low to high latitudes.

This article examined the meteorological features of the second Meiyu/Baiu episode(hereafter Meiyu Ⅱ)in 1998 and the results are summarized as follows:(1)The Meiyu Ⅱ period in 1998 has been the longest and the most delayed ending one since 1885,which caused the great flood around the Yangtze River *** circulation situation in Meiyu Ⅱ is so typical that the average geopotential height and wind fields at 500 hPa and 850 hPa are very similar to monthly mean in *** abnormal circulation in Meiyu Ⅱ is associated with an adjusting of the Okhotsk high and short period south-north oscillation of the subtropical high.(2)The heavy rainfall around the Yangtze River during Meiyu Ⅱ period is closely related to a persistent shear line,a clear eastward moving vortex structure and a very strong jet flow at lower *** is very clear that the strong divergence at higher levels and convergence at lower levels occurred in situ during Meiyu Ⅱ period. (3)It is very clear that the convective activity propagates eastward quickly with a period about 7 days during Meiyu Ⅱ period.

We are engaged in solving two difficult problems in adaptive control of the large-scale time-variant aerospace system. One is parameter identification of time-variant continuous-time state-space modei; the other is how to solve algebraic Riccati equation (ARE) of large order efficiently. In our approach, two neural networks are employed to independently solve both the system identification problem and the ARE associated with the optimal control problem. Thus the identification and the control computation are combined in closed-loop, adaptive, real-time control system . The advantage of this approach is that the neural networks converge to their solutions very quickly and simultaneously.
