For the purpose of Kunming City’s landscaping development and satisfying the needs of botanical garden workers who demand to quickly obtain landscaping plants information and select tree species, a landscaping plant information database was established, which contained almost all Kunming botanical garden plants information. This database was based on Kunming natural environment conditions, and finished by hard work of collecting and analyzing relevant written materials as well as pictures of garden plants. By using B/S Structure model, dynamic web programming language ASP and Photoshop, Dreamweaver as software tools, a Web-based illustrated remote consultation service system of landscaping plants information was constructed.

Characteristics of road landscaping were analyzed,as a kind of "linear" landscaping,it could be classified into urban street landscaping,urban ring road and expressway *** between road landscaping projects and other garden landscaping projects or construction projects were *** project for the South 3rd Ring Road of Xi'an City(in Yanta District)was taken for an example to summarize construction experience,discuss present conditions and features of garden landscaping supervision in *** artistic and physiological properties of garden landscaping,as well as the supervision during maintenance period were stressed,but it was also pointed out that garden landscaping supervision in China was actually not given sufficient *** this basis,key points in the supervision of road landscaping project were proposed:understanding design ideas,selection of landscape plants,quality control of concealed works,prevention and control of diseases and insects,construction safety management and overall image;only by effectively implementing these key points,a high-quality road landscaping project could be realized to improve the image of a city and beautify its environment.

By taking the Riverside Park in Baoding City as an example,based on the analysis of the general situation of the park,the paper considers that it should build plant landscape framework according to local condition,so as to manifest temporal and spatial variation and reflect artistic conception of *** characteristic scenic spots with remarkable plant landscaping have been selected for the analysis and research of plant landscaping characteristics,aiming to acquire methods for plants processing in riverside landscape belt *** has pointed out problems existing in riverside plants arrangement and theme's creation,and proposed corresponding reconstruction measures,providing a reference for plant arrangement of urban riverside landscape belt.

With Summer Resort,Clear Ripples Garden,Humble Administrator's Garden and Lingering Garden as the study subjects,the paper had focused on researches on water surface landscaping techniques and relevant theories of four famous gardens in *** bodies in Summer Resort aimed to manifest the sentimental appeal of lower reaches of Yangtze River,and water surface treatment techniques were based on local characteristics which were dense river network,sandbars and islands surrounded by water and scattered distribution of ***,islands,banks and bridges were utilized to divide water surface,so as to display basic natural feature of water surface at lower reaches of Yangtze *** bodies in Clear Ripples Garden aimed to imitate the artistic concept of West *** for its water surface treatment technique,divided "west dyke" and branch dykes had been used to separate water surface,so as to endow it with the ideological content of "fairy court" and "telepathy between human and nature".Water bodies in Humble Administrator's Garden and Lingering Garden aimed to realize "all rivers and lakes" with "one scoop of water",so that people could associate the artistic conception of a vase expanse of *** study could provide reference for designers of landscape architecture to conduct water surface design.

Yanshan Garden is a famous classical garden with the special feature of the south of Five Ridges among the three classical gardens existing in Guangxi, and the features of gardens in the south of Five Ridges can be fully understood through the research on it. The paper has deeply studied the influence of geomantic environment consciousness on landscaping from the perspective of site selection and landscaping layout. Geomantic theory is a major basis for site selection of Chinese traditional garden architecture. Ancient geomancy originates from the theory of the Eight Diagrams inThe Book of Change, the fundamental thought of which is "avoiding wind and gathering Qi". The planning and layout of Yanshan Garden is based on views of Five Elements Theory, and corresponds with the requirements in geomantic theory. It has made full use of natural conditions of real mountains and rivers in the planning of Yanshan Garden which presents in the layout of the front or back yards. Residences and courtyards are isolated with each other, separated by portal and lattice walls, corridors and pavilions, courtyards, flowers and woods, and pools. The whole garden can be divided into five scenic areas, which are Entrance Zone, Paddy Sweet Cottage Zone, Hantong Tower-Biyun Lake Zone, Fangzhu Mountain Zone, and Ruzhong Mountain Zone, all of which are connected and separated with each other. Landscape in the garden is changeable, fully manifesting geomantic environmental consciousness of gardeners.
