local Discontinuous Galerkin Methods for the Degasperis-Procesi Equation

In this paper,we develop,analyze and test local discontinuous Galerkin(lDG)methods for solving the Degasperis-Procesi equation which contains nonlinear high order derivatives,and possibly discontinuous or sharp transition *** lDG method has the flexibility for arbitrary h and p *** prove the l2 stability for general *** proof of the total variation stability of the schemes for the piecewise constant P0 case is also *** numerical simulation results for different types of solutions of the nonlinear Degasperis-Procesi equation are provided to illustrate the accuracy and capability of the lDG method.

In this paper,the problem of l2 stability and H∞ control of switched homogenous systems is *** on the homogenous properties of the systems,the considered systems are limited to a unit sphere for *** of all,the problem of l2 stability of the switched homogeneous systems is discussed via a designed switching law under the absence of control items,it is shown that,similar to linear case,the stability of normal systems implies to l2 stability under a given switching *** H∞ control problem of switched homogeneous systems is *** to Algebraic Riccati Inequality for H∞ control of switched linear systems,a condition for global control laws to solve H∞ control problem is obtained for the switched homogeneous nonlinear systems,which are preferable and easier verified compared to the existing results for switched nonlinear systems.

This paper investigates the problems of l2 stability and H∞control problem of a class switched homogeneous nonlinear system via the semi-tensor product（STP）of matrices ***,a homogeneous lyapunov-like function in the form of STP is *** on this,the system in question is limited on to the unit sphere to be investigated,a switching law is designed to make sure that the normal system that is globally asymptotically stable is globally l2 stable *** the former lyapunov-like function and the designed switching law,the H∞control problem of the considered system is reduced into a Riccati-like one via the STP of matrices method,thus a control law similar to that of linear system is designed.
